NOVEL NEXT Chapter 3: First day at work
Sophia was very happy knowing she has secured herself the job, as she was walking out of the company's door, she chanced upon Rose.
oh miss Sophia did you get the job, Rose asked with a hint of anticipation, hmm hmm, Sophia smiled while nodding her furiously to happy to say a word.
Congratulations miss Sophia, Rose congratulated Sophia, ah thank you Mrs Rose, i will be on my way now . Sophia said smiling.
The moment Sophia work out of the door her stomach grumbling, that was a sign of hunger.
Oh I did not have breakfast this Morning, Sophia said. Meh I have to go get something to eat, Sophia lamented, as she walked to a restaurant.
She entered and sat on a chair, calling the waitress, she couldn't wait any longer. Good morning what are your oders, said the waitress, a lady with piecing emerald eyes and wavy red hair,
Such a beautiful lady. Sophia thought to herself.
She replied, I will have the French toast with bacon and scrambled eggs, oh and a glass of coffee. Right, your order is coming up, said the lady.
A few minutes later, the waitress served her breakfast, Sophia thanked the waitress. And started digging, she was hungry but she took her pace, she don't want to embarrass herself. After she was done Sophia paid the bills and rushed home.
I have to prepare for tomorrow Sophia thought as she took a taxi home. On her way home she couldn't help but started thinking about the clothes she was going wear tomorrow for work, but more importantly she still kept thinking of her boss face.
After thirty minutes of drive the taxi stopped in front of Sophia's house, Sophia paid the taxi man, walked to her door, and opened the door. Then
started preparing for tomorrow's work,
Sophia never had any friends so she never thought of calling anybody, her life was such a lonely one, only her parents who calls her most of the time. After Sophia was done arranging, she just watched TikTok till night and slept off.
The next day Sophia arrived early at the Grey Foundations Company. Well, this time she ate her breakfast, adjusted her dress and tried to calm her nervous feeling, she was feeling nervous.
This time she wore a plain fine tailored blouse and a black tailored pantsuit with a black blazer, she look elegant in every single way, even the guards at the company could not keep her their eyes off her, she was too beautiful.
The moment Sophia entered the company's building she met Mrs, Rose. Good morning Miss Sophia, Rose greeted.Oh good morning Mrs Rose,said sophia .
By the way you came early this time,said Rose.Well I have to make a big impression on my first day,right? , said Sophia smiling.
Oh you're certainly right Miss Sophia
Said rose. Well follow me, Mr. Alexander is waiting
As Sophia followed Miss Rose, Rose couldn't help but noticed that Sophia was fidgeting , she seems nervous.
Then Rose said, Feeling nervous are we? Well this is your big day but don't look so worried, you will do great, Rose said it with a reassuring smile.
Rose seemed like a very responsible, reliable and an experienced woman, so Sophia felt this certain trust towards her, she just felt more assured after hearing what Rose said.
Sophia just wanted to make a big impression on Mr Alex, after all, she can't let this opportunity go, after securing the job. She ought to do well, she thought, So she said, I cannot afford to screw everything and blow it up.
You see, Sophia, we all report to Mr Alexander, Rose said, well, Mr Alexander can be really intimidating, in fact,unpredictable, but just do your job and you will totally be fine, you won't have any issues with Mr Alex.
Rose said, well, see you, I will come check up later, everything you need is on that guidebook and everything is on the paper, so just start up your work.Rose then left. Thank you, Miss Rose." , Sophia said. You're welcome, Miss Sophia. Replied Rose smiling.
