Chapter 151: [Spin-off] A millennia-old intimate bond
It has become obvious to everyone that there's more than friendship between Cassian and Lilvyra. From the very first day, she has shown an almost obsessive attachment to him. She's never apart from him and always seems to be by his side—holding his hand or clinging to his arm. Sometimes, her behavior even turns provocative, considered inappropriate in such a strict academy, though she never goes as far as to risk disciplinary sanctions.
Her provocations are limited to light touches, overly affectionate hugs, and teasingly sensual remarks that leave Cassian deeply embarrassed. The young man blushes every time, unsure how to deal with her advances. In his eighteen years of life, he has never experienced such closeness with a girl. And although he knows Lilvyra is a demonic creature, her human beauty has an irresistible effect on him.
Many of his classmates have even started to feel jealous of Cassian. Almost overnight, he found himself spending every moment of his daily life with that girl — the one with long pink hair and a breathtaking beauty that turns every head. But that's not the only change Cassian has experienced. His grades, once mediocre, have improved remarkably. Especially in Creation Magic, where he's ranked among the top students in recent assignments — much to the "delight" of Professor August Goraktha. The latter, unable to explain such progress, has grown to despise him even more than before.
Of course, the credit goes to Lilvyra. She isn't interested in Cassian's academic performance, but in shaping him into someone strong enough to fulfill the destiny bound to the Thalukvar bloodline. Those improvements are simply the natural result of the boy's growing magical skills and knowledge.
It's late afternoon, and Cassian, exhausted after the intense study session Lilvyra had put him through, decides to take a relaxing bath. The small tub in his room, though modest, is perfect for a moment of peace. He can feel the fatigue deep in his bones, and soaking in warm water feels like the only relief he can get.
«If you don't mind…» Cassian gestures to Lilvyra, pointing at the door with his hand. The thin curtain separating the bathroom from the bedroom offers little privacy, and her constant presence makes him uneasy right now.
Lilvyra, barefoot and sitting on the bed with her legs crossed, stares at him with a mischievous smile. «Since when do you get shy around me?» she asks, amused.
«S-Shy? No, of course not!» Cassian tries to stay calm and keep his tone firm, but the redness on his face betrays him. He clears his throat and adds, «I-I already told you it's against the school rules. A boy and a girl shouldn't be alone in the same room… especially if one of them is taking a bath!»
«Only one of them, huh?» Lilvyra replies, rising from the bed. She takes a step toward him, slowly unbuttoning the white blouse of her school uniform and letting it fall to the floor without taking her eyes off Cassian. Then she loosens her skirt, letting it slip gently to her feet, and steps out gracefully.
She's now wearing only black lace lingerie that perfectly highlights her curves. Her radiant body glows under the room's soft light, and Cassian feels a sudden knot in his throat. He's seen Lilvyra half-naked before, but always in her demonic form — a sight that came with a deep sense of fear. Now, however, standing before him is just a girl of incredible beauty, whose presence awakens conflicting emotions in him: the inevitable attraction to her alluring body and the fear of what lies beyond that enchanting mask. The boy swallows nervously as Lilvyra draws closer, pressing her warm, voluptuous body against his.
«You've done a great job today, Cassian. You deserve a reward,» Lilvyra whispers as, with slow and fluid movements, she starts undressing him, letting each piece of his uniform fall, one after another, to the floor.
Before he realizes it, he's naked, curled up in the small tub, knees drawn to his chest. Lilvyra is already behind him, wrapping her legs around him and pressing her breasts softly against his back while gently massaging his tense shoulders.
Cassian's breathing grows heavy and uneven, unlike Lilvyra's, which remains calm and natural — so natural that he can't help but wonder if she's used to moments like this. Could it be because, not being human, she simply has a different mindset? It's the most logical explanation, yet another possibility crosses his mind. Lilvyra introduced herself as a being who has watched over the Thalukvar family for ages. Could that calmness come from having offered herself like this to every one of his ancestors?
It seems just as plausible to him, so he decides to ask her directly.
«L-Lilvyra…» he begins, his voice trembling. «What kind of relationship did you share with my ancestors?»
A playful, mischievous smile forms on her lips. She hugs him, wrapping her arms around his chest. «You want to know if I had sex with your father, your grandfather, and all those who came before them?» she asks bluntly.
Cassian flinches, not expecting such a direct answer. «Y-Yes…» he stammers, unable to hide the flush burning across his face.
Lilvyra chuckles softly. «Are you jealous, Cassian?» she asks teasingly.
He tries to stay composed, but his voice betrays him. «W-Why would I be?»
Lilvyra slowly slides her hands down Cassian's body until her fingers graze his thighs, caressing them lightly. «The thought that your father, at your age, touched me, took me, made me moan… that his hands squeezed my breasts and hips while he was inside me — does that thought upset you… or does it excite you?» she whispers, her touch growing more intimate.
Cassian shivers as a chill runs down his spine. Lilvyra's hands move even lower until they brush against his erection. «Everything in its time, little Cassian,» Lilvyra murmurs sweetly, before her sharp teeth sink into the his neck without warning.
Since that time in the bath, after what Lilvyra revealed that day, Cassian can no longer look at her the same way. She didn't confirm anything specific, but she planted enough doubt in his mind. It's clear that their intimacy isn't unique, but something Lilvyra has lived through countless times over the centuries — maybe even millennia.
On the other hand, Cassian can't help but wonder how the women of his family could have accepted such relationships. It's at that very moment that he realizes a disturbing truth — something that had been in front of him all along yet unnoticed precisely because it was so ordinary: he has no memory of any woman in his family. He has no sisters and knows nothing about his mother. No one ever mentions a grandmother or any other woman. That void feels inexplicable. Then, a dark, sick thought flashes through his mind — only to vanish instantly, as if his mind itself had chosen to erase it.
