Chapter 56: Nemesis (2)

[Absolute Domain skill activated]

Felix was instantly transformed into a swirling ball of darkness the moment the [Absolute Domain] passive skill was activated. A streak shot out of him toward the demi-human demoness, who calmly slashed at it with her scythe. She was stunned as the dark streak phased right through her attack and leeched onto her chest.

A surge of power and strength immediately streamed into Felix's being, greatly alleviating his pain. The vitality siphoned from the Demoness. And before she could react, she suddenly vanished, pulled away along with the swirling ball of darkness that had become Felix.

[You have began live streaming for all]

The livestream notification was the first thing that greeted Felix's vision as he opened his eyes to a familiar wasteland beneath a blood-red sky, his castle standing tall in the center.

Felix felt his fractured bones painfully snap back into place, and watched as the tears in his skin and tendons patched up and healed at an observable rate.

[Under the influence of the Witcher's domain, all debuffs have been nullified]

The surge of power and strength that filled Felix as he was patched back to his prime was so intoxicating that he wanted to simply lay there and reel at the feeling of freedom—as if his whole life had been spent bearing unimaginable pain, and only now had he truly felt what it was like to be free of that torture.

But the next set of notifications pulled him out of his delusions and reminded him the battle wasn't over; it had just begun.

[A threat to the domain has been detected]

[Enemy has been cursed with 'Deteriorating Physique']

"What is this place?!" the demi-human demoness bellowed, her voice laced with fear. Her eyes scanned the eerie, yet familiar landscape and the black castle that made her feel like it had eyes peering into the depths of her soul. There was no denying it: This was the domain of the Witch Master.

Felix had been transformed back to his human form, and the swirling ball of darkness—an interesting hidden perk of the [Absolute Domain]—was gone. He speculated it ensured the host's survival by quickly siphoning the vitality of the nearest enemy to replenish a substantial amount of the host's critical health before transporting them both to the domain. Felix was pleased.

Now before the demi-human in a proper standoff before an epic battle, Felix used the [Appraisal] skill on her.

[Nemesis | Lv7]

Felix was stunned at her absurd level. There were only a handful of Sages at Lv7 and even fewer beyond that. He was currently only at the crash floor of Lv4 with a TPA of 400+. Was that impressive? Heck no. Because Nemesis, as he had come to know now, had a base TPA of about 3000+, meaning she could be anywhere from that range to about 6000+ TPA.

What was 400 TPA compared to that?

Felix swallowed hard.

But this made one thing certain: Nemesis was not a demon—at least not a high-ranking one—and was likely a fellow Champion like him, hence the code name displayed in place of her real identity. Nemesis was merely his opponent, and was in no way capable enough to take on Lilith, a primordial being that had lived for over a millennium and whom the [Appraisal] skill had failed to work on.

In other words, Lilith had only disappeared to avoid detection by the primordials of the dark faction, because it was very likely they were watching—watching the live stream of Nemesis, who thought that hunting down Lilith and slaying the Champion of the Witch Master would garner her the backing and favor of the Dark Lord. It was obvious to Felix now that she was acting on her own, because no primordial in their right mind would send their Champion after a legendary Primordial—unless as bait.

Felix wasn't sure which it was, but he knew one thing he would make sure of: Nemesis had made a great mistake coming after him.

She might be stronger, faster, but he was unyielding in the Witcher's domain.

It might take days—even weeks—to defeat Nemesis at his current strength, but as long as he was immortal within the realm, he would keep standing up every time he fell. It didn't matter how many bruises or cuts it would take, or how many near-death experience it would cost, Felix would wear her down to her very last breath and snuff the life out of her.

He was the incarnation of the Witch Master now, the true God and ruler of the underworld. It was high time he began to act like one, because his rightful place was the throne of the demon emperor, and the least he should get was respect from the filthy demons and their underlings.

Felix cracked a maniacal smile, staring down at Nemesis like a predator, calculating the amount of attribute points he should be getting for her head, and if it would be enough to shoot him up a level.

"You unyielding roach, I'll smash you like the filthy bug you are!" Nemesis bellowed condescendingly and streaked before Felix before he could even blink, bringing down her scythe on him.

Bang!

Felix raised his sword just in time, and the collision of the two weapons rippled a shockwave as if the very fabric of reality might fracture. The force sent Felix flying like a ragdoll caught in a tsunami, crossing a great distance across the vast realm of the Witcher's domain.

Nemesis didn't give him a chance to land or even recover. She streaked before him once more and brought down her scythe, sending his body flying in a different direction, then again—and again. In a span of seconds, Felix had been hit a thousand times while still in the air.

His now bloodied and broken body finally hit the ground and bounced across the barren land like a pebble thrown across the surface of water.

[Under the influence of the Witcher's domain, your Health will now regenerate infinitely]

[Under the influence of the Witcher's domain, your Stamina will now regenerate infinitely]

[Under the influence of the Witcher's domain, your Spirit pool will now regenerate infinitely]

"Kikiki~hahaha…"

Felix staggered to his feet as his bones snapped back into place and his torn flesh patched up to perfection, laughing hysterically at Nemesis, who was shocked and dumbstruck watching Felix get back on his feet after her torrent of attacks—again.

Felix clumsily wiped the tears forming at the corners of his eyes from both amusement and pain. "You're right about one thing; I'm unyielding. But the only filthy bug that needs to be smashed here… is you."
