Chapter 96 Hidden Danger
"Big pervert! Why have you stopped? Are there zombies coming?" An Qi asked.
She was closing her eyes now and couldn't see the surroundings clearly.
"Ah? No, I'm figuring out which way to go," Lin Yifan snapped back to reality and hastily replied.
"So, have you figured it out yet?" An Qi continued to inquire.
She was very scared now and didn't want to stay in "Zombie World" a second longer.
"Got it! I'll take you guys out of here right now," Lin Yifan said, immediately grabbing An Qi and Zhou Jiajia's hands and moving swiftly forward.
After moving five meters, they arrived at the zombies' pottery, where lights immediately came on, and then two groups of zombies appeared on both sides of the path.
"There are zombies on both sides, do you want to take a look? Do you want to confront your fear just a bit?" Lin Yifan asked; he wanted to play a prank on the two beauties by his side.
"Don't want to, move fast! Keep going!" An Qi and Zhou Jiajia answered in unison, obviously very afraid of zombies.
"Alright then! Let's keep moving," Saying this, Lin Yifan once again pulled the two women's hands and continued to walk forward.
However, by the time he reached the middle of the kiln, the zombies on both sides had awakened; suddenly, a chilling presence bore down on them.
"Shhh!!"
The next second, a sinister and hoarse voice came from both sides, filling the space.
At this, An Qi and Zhou Jiajia got a jolt of fear, then questioned, "Big pervert, what is this? What's happening?"
"This is the breath exhaled by the zombies; all the zombies have woken up, we need to hurry!" Lin Yifan heightened the atmosphere of fear to stimulate the adrenaline in the two women.
Upon hearing that the zombies had woken up, An Qi and Zhou Jiajia indeed became even more frightened; hence, without waiting for Lin Yifan to lead, they couldn't help themselves and started moving forward.
Having had enough of the scare, Lin Yifan no longer lingered. He immediately pulled the two women to flee "Zombie World" and head to the next stage.
Moving forward ten meters and taking a left at the junction, they arrived at the epilogue section of the Haunted House. Compared to the climax, this part was much calmer.
"It's okay now! The zombies have been shaken off," Lin Yifan then let go of the women's hands and took a breather.
Upon opening their eyes and seeing that there were no zombies around, An Qi and Zhou Jiajia also felt a lot more relieved.
"Whew! That scared me to death! I thought I was going to be eaten by zombies," An Qi took a deep breath to suppress the panic in her heart.
"Mr. Lin! Will those zombies come after us?" Zhou Jiajia was still frightened and very concerned that the zombies might chase after them.
"They only move forward fifty centimeters and then stand still; so don't worry, they won't chase us," Lin Yifan reassured to make Zhou Jiajia feel more at ease.
After resting for a few minutes and calming down, An Qi then took the lead to set off again.
The climax of the Haunted House didn't have too many terrifying things, so everyone's mood wasn't that fearful anymore, and it was much steadier.
Moving forward twenty meters and then taking another left, they would be able to exit the Haunted House.
At this moment, An Qi and the others were relaxed and happy without any guard.
However, just as they were about to reach the left turn, a horrifying scene happened; suddenly, a "bloody head" dropped from the sky, appearing right in front of An Qi.
"Ah!!!"
Suddenly, An Qi was scared and started screaming.
On the other side, Zhou Jiajia was also terrified by the sudden appearance of the "bloody head."
However, the incident was not over; the "blood-soaked skull" that fell suddenly burst open, releasing many dazzling scraps of paper.
An average person would definitely find this scene beautiful and pretty and perceive no danger whatsoever.
But Lin Yifan felt the presence of a deadly threat.
As expected, a tiny Silver Needle shot out from among the paper scraps at breakneck speed, heading straight for An Qi's forehead.
If not for "special abilities," an ordinary person would have had no chance of spotting the Silver Needle in the dark.
"Manager An! Be careful!" Lin Yifan shouted, his heart racing with urgency.
He knew that by the time An Qi realized what was happening, the Silver Needle would have already pierced her forehead; without hesitation, he immediately unleashed a burst of special energy that knocked the swiftly traveling Silver Needle away.
The Silver Needle was so fine that when the Mana struck it, there wasn't a loud sound, so An Qi remained oblivious.
At that moment, the burst-open skull announced, "Congratulations to the master for successfully training their courage! Congratulations to the master for successfully training their courage!"
The emergence of this congratulatory message turned the previously tense and fearful atmosphere into one of celebratory joy.
Following that, An Qi chastised, "Why are you making such a fuss? Isn't it just a surprise gift from the Haunted House owner to the challengers?"
Lin Yifan was at a loss for words, understanding that no amount of explanation would be useful, as humans only believe what they see; An Qi hadn't seen the Silver Needle and was unaware of the danger, so anything he said would just be a waste of breath.
"As long as everything's okay, that's what matters!" Lin Yifan replied casually, dismissing the matter.
"We've successfully trained our courage! Jiajia, let's go outside!" An Qi said happily, and then, taking Zhou Jiajia by the hand, they joyfully left the place.
Lin Yifan closely followed them, and when he reached the corner, he couldn't help but look back at the bent Silver Needle on the floor.
After a long moment, he uttered, "The owner of the Haunted House is suspicious."
Once outside the Haunted House, Lin Yifan fixed a cold gaze on the Haunted House owner, who seemed to be racked with guilt, before striding away with a large step.
Seeing that An Qi was unharmed and then noticing Lin Yifan's icy stare, the Haunted House owner was scared to the point of wetting himself. He knew he couldn't stay there any longer, or he would face mortal danger.
After exiting the Haunted House, An Qi and Zhou Jiajia went to experience the thrilling attractions – the "Bungee Drop" and the "Roller Coaster" – aiming to calm their nerves.
After enjoying those two rides, they found them not thrilling enough, so they headed to the "Giant Swing" to play.
Watching the constantly swinging and rotating Giant Swing, Lin Yifan found it novel, never having imagined such a thing existed in the city.
A minute later, the Giant Swing stopped swaying, and the next group of visitors could go up for their turn.
At this moment, An Qi and Zhou Jiajia, hand in hand, excitedly approached.
The Giant Swing's operator personally attended to them, arranging their seats.
What appeared to be a very ordinary "please take a seat" on the surface, was, in fact, hiding a crisis.
This was something that not even Lin Yifan, who was watching carefully from below, knew about.
After checking that all the visitors' safety belts were fastened, the operator of the Giant Swing started the machine.
The Giant Swing began to ascend bit by bit, its swinging magnitude becoming larger and more thrilling.
High above, An Qi was shouting in delight, completely unaware of the impending danger.
And Lin Yifan, watching from the ground, also noticed nothing amiss; everything seemed normal.
