My Sexy Female CEO

Chapter 210: Ashamed

Amidst the spreading smoke, two masked men in black quickly carried away the barely-breathing Zhen Jian.

Their movements were extremely light, not stirring a single sound, as if they were ghosts, coming without a shadow and leaving without a trace.

On the other side, having realized that the object the size of a ping-pong ball wasn't a bomb, Lin Yifan quickly stood up from the ground and, holding an iron rod, rushed into the smoke, trying to find the two masked men in black.

But when he charged into the smoke, he found not a single person in sight. At that moment, he cursed softly, "Damn it!" and then walked into the private room to take Zhou Jiajia away.

Inside the elevator, Zhou Jiajia couldn't hold back her grief and grievances and threw herself into Lin Yifan's arms, weeping, "Yifan, thank you! Thank you for coming to rescue me! I was really afraid I would never see you again."

If Zhen Jian had defiled her, she would have certainly killed herself.

"Don't be afraid, as long as I'm here, no one can hurt you," Lin Yifan continued to comfort her, trying to ease Zhou Jiajia's heart.

After a long while, he finally asked, "Who brought you here?"

Zhou Jiajia loathed Zhen Jian; therefore, she certainly hadn't come to dine with Zhen Jian willingly. She must have been threatened, or betrayed by someone, to end up here.

"My parents," Zhou Jiajia replied through tears. Surely, such an answer would enrage anyone who heard it.

"Damn it! There are actually parents in this world who would sell their own daughter, utterly unforgivable," Lin Yifan said furiously, deciding to go to Zhou Jiajia's home to give her parents a good lesson.

"Ding!"

Reaching the ground floor, the elevator doors opened, and Lin Yifan, with a heartbroken Zhou Jiajia, headed on the way home.

Half an hour later, after driving to Zhou Jiajia's house, Lin Yifan took Zhou Jiajia by the hand and strode in.

At this moment, Zhou Jaijai's parents were leisurely watching TV at home when they suddenly heard the front door bang open, then saw Lin Yifan enter in a towering rage with a tearful Zhou Jiajia.

Startled, they asked nervously and fearfully, "What do you want, bursting into our house like this?"

"What do I want? I'm here to discipline you two worthless things," Lin Yifan responded angrily.

"This is our house, you have no right to enter without our permission, get out!" Zhou Jiajia's father scolded.

"Get lost your ass! Even if the Jade Emperor himself came today, I would still beat him up," Lin Yifan declared boldly, fearing no one.

Facing this angry God of Killing, Zhou Jiajia's parents' hair stood on end, sensing that a calamity was about to befall them.

To avoid disaster, Zhou Jiajia's father pulled out their strongest weapon and threatened, "I warn you, if you dare to hit us, even if we die, we will never allow our daughter to marry you."

"To hell with that, have you two undying things ever thought of letting your daughter marry me? You promised nine months, yet now you go back on your word, and you still have the nerve to threaten me?" Lin Yifan reproached, then ordered, "You untrustworthy old things, kneel down and apologize to your daughter to her face."

He didn't physically punish these two elders; after all, they were both over fifty. He came here tonight solely to seek the justice Zhou Jiajia deserved.

"Yifan! Never mind! Let's go!" Zhou Jiajia pulled Lin Yifan's hand, begging him to leave.

Having one's own parents kneel before oneself was a grave disrespect; even if they were wrong, it was inexcusable. However, while they might not apologize, she no longer wanted to see them again.

Yet, Lin Yifan wasn't willing to let her parents off so easily: "How could it be never mind? They sold you out, are they still your biological parents? Those who trade their daughter's lifelong happiness for their own benefit do not deserve to be parents."

He then interrogated them once more, "Will you kneel or not, apologize or not?"

"We won't kneel!" her parents, Zhou Father and Zhou Mother, stubbornly declared; they would rather die than kneel and apologize to their daughter.

"Not kneeling, is that right? Fine! I'll beat the two old fools to death." Having said that, Lin Yifan clenched his teeth and grabbed a stool, angrily walking over.

Seeing this, Zhou Jiajia hurried over to intercept him: "Yifan, don't!"

On one side were her parents, who had raised her, and on the other was the man she loved the most. She didn't want to see them turn against each other, nor did she want to see them hurt and take revenge on one another.

"Jiajia! Let go! Today, I insist they apologize to you!" Lin Yifan urged.

His heart was filled with rage, and he really wanted to teach these two selfish fools a lesson.

Yet, the kind-hearted Zhou Jiajia stopped him instead: "Don't! Yifan! I beg you, don't hurt them!"

"Why? They sold you out and left you to face danger without helping, why would you still defend them?" Lin Yifan asked, puzzled.

"Because they are my parents who gave birth to and raised me; I can't bear to see them suffer or get hurt," Zhou Jiajia answered through her tears.

Parents might be unkind and unjust to her, but she couldn't bring herself to treat them with the same disregard; maybe this was what family ties were all about.

"Is it worth it for you?" Lin Yifan inquired.

He felt that Zhou Jiajia was too pitiful, having such parents. It was chilling to even think about.

"There's nothing about being worth it or not. They brought me into this world, let me see it, and also led me to you. That's enough," Zhou Jiajia said with tearful eyes, firmly looking into Lin Yifan's eyes.

Meeting this man who loved and protected her was her greatest fortune in life. With him, she was willing to give up the entire world.

Moved by her words and seeing the happiness in Zhou Jiajia's eyes, Lin Yifan finally couldn't hold back his feelings. His heart softened, he dropped the stool, then he tightly hugged Zhou Jiajia and reproachfully said, "Why do you have to be so foolish?"

On the other hand, Zhou Father and Zhou Mother were filled with guilt; they had treated their daughter in such a way, yet she still defended and protected them at every turn. They were truly ashamed.

After a long silence, they finally spoke up and sincerely apologized to Zhou Jiajia: "Jiajia! We're sorry! We were wrong! Please forgive us, and give us a chance to redeem ourselves."

The memory of her parents' cold gazes and attitudes was still fresh in her mind; therefore, Zhou Jiajia couldn't forgive her parents just yet, so she replied, "There's no need for forgiveness, I'm just curious, why would you sell me out like that?"

"Because... because Zhen Jian offered us five hundred million. We were momentarily blinded by money, and agreed to help him carry out this plan of presenting a fait accompli," Zhou Father hesitated, stuttering; obviously, this reason made it hard for him to face his daughter.
