My Servant System

Chapter 1414: Extraordinary Healing

Kat PoV

Still kneeling beside the now unconscious Demoness with my hands pressed against her wounded side, I didn't really have much attention to give to literally anything else at this point in time, but the reminder that there was another Arch Fiend here was rather... important.

Just as important as stabilizing the Demoness and getting her on her way to getting better and ready to head on home so that we could leave all of this behind us for a few months hopefully, and Goddesses above maybe even longer.

I was so damn tired of practically everything right now, and even though I knew the itch for bloodletting would come back with a vengeance in a month or so I was desperate to take a break for at least that long if at all possible.

But I couldn't do so if we had a rogue Sla Arch Fiend hunting us down because we failed to kill it here and now in the Labyrinthian, nor could I just let it walk without a promise of neutrality going forwards... or again, we could just kill it.

"Hey, Cali, you uh... you still pick some fascinating people for your contracts, huh? Can you tell her to maybe calm it down a little..? I mean, c'mon, it's just lil ol' me! Best pals and all that, right? Right, Cali..?"

The three eyed Arch Fiend continued to back away slowly as the snake haired Arch Fiend floated towards her, the difference in their composure causing different parts of my brain to get tickled as their natural effects began to work overtime.

"Hmm... I don't know, Prumstu, I don't know... You've been such~ a 'special' friend for so long, but you're so damn toxic sometimes... Like the last time we saw each other, remember~? Me staring up at you as you began to order all those pesky humans to fill in that hole~?"

Giggling like she had just told a fun joke, Cali flickered forwards and hugged the other Arch Fiend from behind, causing her to stiffen as she was now made to look at the irritated Demon Wolf and intrigued Demoness, both of whom were rather powerful.

"Wait, that's not... that's not fair, Cali..! You killed Gioarii, remember?! Gioarii didn't do anything bad back then, yet you still went out of your way to kill sweet Gioarii! Of course I was a little... angry..."

Realizing that it wasn't helping her case, the Arch Fiend looked between the two approaching mortals, then at the Arch Fiend hugging her from behind, and finally at me, where she bit her lip before her eyes flashed with the brilliance of hope.

"Hey, I can heal the young Demoness right here, right now! Good as new, perfectly capable of getting up and running around! You know I was good with the body, right Cali? I can do that! I'll heal the Demoness and then we just go our separate ways for like... a hundred years..?"

Considering Leone was still focused intensely on healing Jahi and I was supplying her a surplus of mana to aid her efforts, I knew better than the others just how nice that would be; we could heal Jahi but it would take us a day or two to get her to just a functional state, so having her healing expedited would definitely be nice.

Though whether we could trust the Arch Fiend that had been with Jillian was an entire different story, but upon doing that thing that all Arch Fiends apparently were able to do she immediately gave me a 'reassuring' smile and shook her head, only to stop when all the snakes hissed at her.

"Listen, they didn't even try and take me up with them! So honestly fuck them, right? Leaving me down here on my own, not caring that the contract is now void... I was only with them for the juice and nothing else, y'know? Nothing else, nothing personal..."

"Sounds like you... using people just because you can and then ditching them when it benefits you..."

I just ignored how hypocritical Cali was likely being, though again the Arch Fiend's did their usual as Cali pouted and explained "Kat, y'know how I'm hidden yet twisted desires and all that? What you want deep inside of yourself that typically never gets a chance to come out? She's selfish because she embodies rape itself. Nothing special, just that... It's so prevalent and harrowing that it makes her an Arch Fiend with little... flair."

"Hey, I have flair! But sometimes simple stuff is better than all that mental gymnastics you all go through! Ah... Um, I can heal her broken hip and femur in like... thirty seconds flat! And the lacerated tendons, muscles and damaged nerves too. Oh, and she has a lot of bruising that has piled up into some somewhat worrying internal bleeding. It's... a lot, but I can handle it! Just want to be free guaranteed afterwards!"

Not even trying to argue her own 'domain' anymore, the Arch Fiend immediately put her value on the table and bargained with me, ignoring Cali and the others as she focused completely on me; that seemed to make Cali 'hurt' a little while the others all just kept quiet.

"Fine. Do it; heal her completely, promise to steer clear of us and then be on your merry way. We ignore you, you ignore us. Sound fair?"

"More than fair! Um... Cali..?"

"Before you waltz free, make that same agreement with... hm... Reincantra, perhaps~? Y'know, just as a guarantee..."

The Arch Fiend stiffened at that, making Cali smirk as she hugged her tighter while saying "Remember Kat, our word alone means nothing; always make us promise it to a higher power first, yeah~?", which made the other Arch Fiend slump after a moment of contemplation.

Repeating the promise and finally being free from Cali's arms, the Arch Fiend walked on over to Jahi and crouched beside me, holding her hands above the Demoness' chest and taking a deep breath before she unleashed a blinding array of vibrant pink mana.

It wormed into Jahi's Core before she moved her hands down towards her hips, working the area directly and causing the Demoness to groan softly as she wiggled in her 'sleep', showing signs of life that hadn't been there before.

She seemed more comfortable with every passing second, and after maybe half a minute she was awake again, blinking away the blurriness and staring at the Arch Fiend blankly before turning her gaze towards me.

"Kat..?"

I checked with both the Arch Fiend as well as Cali - getting a nod from both as they took that weight from my shoulders - before meeting her gaze, feeling myself finally relax after the worry that she would be injured for longer.

Leaning down, I looked straight into her eyes and watched as she blinked a few more times before relaxing as well, her lips puckering slightly as she prepared herself for the kiss that was to come... only to gasp when I flicked her in the brow and glared at her.

"What the hell were you thinking?!"
