My Servant System

Chapter 1412: Ten Seconds (4)

Time almost stood still as we continued to close the distance between one another, the Elf grinning like a madwoman as she raised both of her rock coated fists at me, promising a broken bone at the bare minimum whenever she got into contact with me.

As for me, I was powering that spell in my palm and making sure it would have more than enough mana in it to guarantee a swift, clean cut that would end her life once and for all; I wanted to make it messier but time wasn't going to permit that, so I had to make do.

It would still be satisfying enough even if it didn't end with her in multiple pieces looking like one of Kat's typical kills... just the knowledge that this bitch was dead would be more than enough to make me the happiest Demoness to have ever lived.

Her skull would make a nice trophy in my future office, and being able to tell this tale as exorbitantly embellished as possible for centuries to come would be a highlight of my life, but in order to get to that point I needed to be able to remove her skull from the rest of her skeleton.

Yanking hard on that lasso and dragging her into me, I felt every single part of the second that it took, each piece dragging out for eternity as I was able to hyper focus on just a singular thing; my breathing, my heartbeat, my emotions and so much more weren't important right now, and I reached a state that felt... dangerous.

I only had a single thing on my mind and that was killing this Elf, so everything I had was completely and utterly pushed to the side and not thought of at all, resulting in my breath hitching in my throat while my heart slowed to a crawl... compared to normal, anyways.

Adrenaline couldn't even spike it into overdrive, though I knew the moment we collided the pure ecstasy that would be running through my veins would be unlike anything I had ever felt... getting there was laborious though, but it happened eventually.

First our boots collided, thudding against one another and halting the progress immediately as we were reminded that physics was very much still in effect, but it didn't stop us for that long since Jillian shot up and swung both of her fists with a vengeance.

One was aimed right for my left hip while the other sailed for my head, giving herself a larger chance of dealing damage as she forced me into her attack; I had to sit up as well and twist myself in a way that guaranteed that fist would collide with my face, but that wasn't going to happen.

My right hand shot up and the spell that had been building up in my palm was unleashed - something simple but something that could be done quickly and without effort - while my left hand flicked upwards as well, sending the length of the lasso into the fist that was meant for my hip.

That one couldn't fully destroy the abundance of rock surrounding her fist, but it tore away enough of it that the pain was devastating; I was still dealt a terrible blow as she smashed the bones into pieces and guaranteed I would be unable to walk anytime soon, but it could have been far worse.

Pain exploded in my side as my hip cracked while the top of my femur splintered dozens of times over, lacerating the muscles and rending that entire leg useless as well as part of my side thanks to the sheer amount of weight that had landed there.

My vision swam and I didn't even have the ability to scream out in pain, yet I still fought through it and focused every fiber of my being on the fist sailing towards my face; the fist that would guarantee death if it wasn't gone, no matter how much rock I tore away from it.

But I wasn't aiming for the rock itself; my right hand went past it, towards the Elf's unguarded elbow with a controlled blast of Light Mana as the blade was formed with an explosion, causing her arm to be blown into two distinct pieces.

The first was the forearm and hand that was now sailing harmlessly off to my left, and the other was the upper arm that was absolutely mangled as the blade made its way towards her head, aimed to end things once and for all.

She broke my hip and leg while I tore off her arm, and yet neither of us were screaming in pain nor attempting to flee; our eyes were locked as our hatred continued to grow, but there was nothing more to be done since everything had gone into this.

My blade inched ever closer to her face, the pain robbing me of the precision I prided myself on and leaving some of this to fate as I prayed this still took her life; her eyes finally left mine for the first time yet, and seeing them widen as the fear and realization set in was sweeter than anything else in existence.

Every single microsecond was perceived and stored away by me as I watched that radiant gold blade finally reach her face, and even through the agonizing pain I still felt immense joy when it made contact with her flesh.

Just like I had thought it was clean and effortless, the mana slicing through her own flimsy mana shield and finding the flesh beneath, severing the skin and revealing the meat below as the blade started to cut into her cheekbone.

Going past the flesh and finding the bone, the blade even cut through that cleanly enough, and when she jerked her head to the side all she did was send the entire golden blade slicing through the side of her head, leaving a long gash alongside her skull that was getting closer to revealing the idiotic brain housed inside.
