My Otherworldly Experience.

Morning, and Anastasia and I found ourselves in the inn's restaurant trying to order our breakfast. 

The atmosphere in the restaurant this morning was kind of good. I mean, the customer service was exceptional!

"Good morning, sir Kyle and lady Anastasia! Did you guys order anything yet?!" A waitress came up to our table and asked us. I'd initially thought that it was the girl who'd served us yesterday, but it was unfortunately not the same girl. 

The way how she sounds like she's cheerful and always happy. 

How did she know who I am? I honestly thought that it was a confidential thing...

I have to find out how she knows my name...

The girl who came to our table had fox ears and tail, and she has green eyes, and her hair was orange, just like the coat of a red fox. 

She was wearing a apron over her normal clothes. It was the first time I had seen a beat man\demi-human. I guess it is another word after all. 

She smiled warmly at us as she waited for Anastasia and I to order our breakfast. 

"Ah, I'll have this then!" Anastasia pointed to the picture of the item she wanted. And I also picked a simple meal. 

The foods from this world are kind of similar to the foods from back in my original world.

It feels like I'd never left my old...

I was deep in my thoughts as we waited for the waitress to return. Anastasia just sat there, and just focusing on her own stuff. After the waitress came back, we enjoyed our lovely meal and left the inn.

"Umm, so.... so, what are we going to do now, Mr.Kyle?" Anastasia asked me, with uncertainty in her voice. 

"Uhhh..." I hesitated to answer her question. "Well, I planned on paying the Adventurer's guild a visit to see what kind of jobs they have."

"Oh... I see that you've made up your mind." Anastasia responded with a answer that shocked me. 

"You know, if you are uncomfortable with any of my choices you can tell me, right?"

"Well... well, it's not like I got any objections to you in any way..." Anastasia hesitated to speak, but eventually spoke. "I just don't like to be around too many people. That's all."

Oh, I see ... she's kind of a antisocial person... I don't know what I should do with her current attitude. 

"Everything will be alright with you. Remember, I'll be with you in the Adventurer's guild too."

I patted Anastasia on her head to calm her down. She was just like any shy kid from earth, so it was cute to see her reaction. I couldn't help but to smile in satisfaction. 

So, Anastasia and I walked through the streets of the bustling medieval European Town, as people who were both leaving and entering. Although the town feels small, there were many people walking in the streets. 

It's maybe because this town is a trading Hotspot, or holds significant amount of importance. 

It was kind of weird that Anastasia and I wanted to find the Adventurer's guild, as people who are not familiar with the town. I felt so humiliated that I was lost in a small town, especially in front of the person who is probably looking up to me. 

"You know the one Strange thing, I don't really know where the Adventurer's guild is..." I said to Anastasia, feeling like a fool. 

"Oh, it's nothing. It's a normal thing to get lost in an unfamiliar environment, especially when the people who were supposed to do that didn't. So, don't beat yourself up over that." Anastasia put her hands on my back, as if to cheer me up. 

"Thank you very much, Anastasia."

I feel like an idiot for getting us lost... but thanks to Anastasia, I don't have to worry about anything. Plus, she kind of cheered me up.

"Un, sothanks.... I think we should ask someone to guide us to the Adventurer's guild. Oh, there's someone who we can ask!"

Before I get to say something, Anastasia began to drag me Towards the old man who was standing by the corner. Oh, I guess we're going that then... The old man was wearing a brown sweater and light brown pants, he seems not to be bothered by the hot sun. 

"Good morning, sir. Please can we have your attention for a few moments?" Anastasia asked the old man. 

The man turned around to face us with a gentle smile on his face. He seems like a nice old man...

"Good morning." I also greeted him. 

"Yes. Please go ahead, I'm waiting..." (old man)

"Umm, can you please give the directions to the Adventurer's guild? It's our first time in this town." (Anastasia)

"We're Adventurers from another town, so we don't know anywhere here!" I joined in to back up Anastasia. 

"Ah, so you guys are new around these parts? Hmmm.... (eyeing us up and down) I guess there's no harm, you're close to the Adventurer's guild, all that you need to do is just turn left and walk in a straight line, until you see a huge building... it is the largest building in that area." The man explained to us. 

We thanked the old man and continued on our way to the Adventurer's guild. While we were heading to the Adventurer's guild, most of the people who were probably standing around or just passing by had stopped and stared at me with curiosity. 

But no one paid all that attention to Anastasia they just focused on me. Then I had a realization that I was still in the clothes I'd come with to this world. Everyone was wearing ordinary villagers clothes, or some sort of medieval clothing...

"Errr.... hey Anastasia, do you think that people are staring at us for some reason?" I asked her feeling conscious about myself. 

She didn't respond to my question, all that she did was smile on her face as if she has known this before me. When we arrived at the Adventurer's guild, we pushed open the pair of doors and entered. 

Inside the building was filled with people just sitting around and just doing their jobs, majority of them were men drinking and having a good time. 

The people were staring at Anastasia and I when we entered, but we paid them no mind and just walked up to the reception area. Although the guild is packed, people were barely standing at the reception area. 

So, it didn't take long for us to be the next person to see the receptionist to sign up for the Adventurer's guild. 

Ugh, this situation is becoming more and more like a typical Isekai light novel story...

I bet that our first quest is to take down some slimes and bring back their core\stones.

"Welcome to the guild! How may we help you?" The receptionist greeted us. "Would you like to sign up for the Adventurer's guild or renew your Adventurer's card in this town?"

"Ah, we want to register for an Adventurer's ID." I responded to the beautiful woman standing behind the counter.

The woman who greeted us at the counter has a beautiful smile, and she looked cute. She has long green hair and emerald green eyes, she also was wearing the guild's uniform. All of the men in the building were looking at her with lust in their eyes. 

"Sorry, but the guild doesn't give out cards to little children. If it's you, then I'll help!" The receptionist said. 

I was in shock when I heard that Anastasia won't be able to sign up for a guild card with me. 

"But she can still accompany me on my quests, right?"

"Yes, she can. But if she gets hurt during any of your quests, the guild won't be responsible for what happens to the little girl." The receptionist said .

Anastasia grabbed on to my sleeve as the receptionist said. And as I looked down at her, she gave me a upset and shy look.

"Now, let's get you signed up with the Adventurer's guild! Wait. I'll be back."

The receptionist woman reached her hand underneath the counter and took out a paper from the compartment. 

"Please write your name and other information about yourself, and please put a drop of your blood to complete the registration process." The receptionist woman gave me the paper and a small sharp needle thingy. 

She kept smiling as I filled out the registration forms. After I was finished, the only thing I was left with was the part that I have to put a drop of my blood. It felt weird at that moment. 

As I gently pricked my thumb with the small sharp needle, I immediately placed it on the seal of the Adventurer's guild that was conveniently on the paper. 

So this is kind of like a thumbprint or something.... it's a fantasy world, so I shouldn't be any surprises that it has some form of technology. 

A bright light envelope the paper and a holographic card appeared in front of me. It was showing all of my information.

"Eh? What's going on?" (Anastasia)

"A bright light.... nothing like that had never happened in the history of this guild. The first time the guild recorded something like this was when a powerful mage appeared in this town 100 years ago." (Receptionist)

"Please hold on, I'll prepare your guild card for you. And also I'll give you permission to take your companion along with you on your quests." The receptionist said as she began to write down something on a small paper. 

Anastasia and I went to sit down at an empty table in the corner of the building. Hopefully today goes extremely well for Anastasia and I.

Our first quest is on the horizon...
