My new Journey through the realms

As the Ancient Zuggurant tried using his abilities to search, Rex was naturally following the system.

"Quest Find three Poisoned Trees"

"First location 500 meters ahead on the left"

Rex followed the command for this one. As he reached the tree, he did not think the tree was poisoned at all.

When he tried to knock the tree, an explosion sounded. Pieces of the dark flew dangerously it injured a few beasts around. Within minutes of being injured, the beasts died to the poisoning.

There was nothing inside the tree. His eyes glued on the stump. He seemed to sense a faint Qi.

"Ancient Zuggurant" Rex called out.

"What happened here?" He asked.

"This tree was poisoned. There is a faint Qi here. Can you tell me which direction to go for the most condense?" Rex asked.

"Next Tree 400 meters straight ahead"

"There is another spot about 400 meters ahead. That is all that I can sense currently."

"Seems like whatever it is, it will only reveal itself once the trees are gone." Rex thought.

He hoped that he could just bypass all of the annoying pieces that he could. Yet, he could not.

"Keep track of the Qi. If anything seems off, we need to be aware." Rex told him.

"Of course. It is weird though."

Rex wanted to speak up but decided to hold back.

"This Qi seems to be well hidden. That is something that not even well known cultivators could do effectively. This is either the work of a powerful demon or something far stronger than demons." The Ancient Zuggurant was worried for once.

"Well, we can always team up for the fight. I believe that won't be necessary." Rex told him.

"Three trees ahead, Rex."

This caught Rex by surprise. He did not want to knock on the tree or use his Qi to even try and make it explode.

"Can you see inside the tree?" Rex asked.

"I cannot."

"Raise the dirt and make it harder than metal so that the tree does not explode into other trees or beasts."

The Ancient Zuggurant appeared beside Rex the duo raised a wall of dirt around the tree. The Ancient Zuggurant made it harder than metal by keeping his place outside the wall.

Rex was inside and sent a small amount of Qi inside the tree.

Another explosion rang out. None of the bark could even pierce the earth. Rex saw a silver liquid in the stump of this one. It vanished upon seconds of being hit by the outside.

"Next tree 800 meters beside a cave"

"There is another source about 800 meters by a series of caves. I cannot tell which tree because it seems that the source is coming from those caves."

Rex decided to hold an explosion of those trees and whatever was inside the caves.

"Just like how we did here but it will be a dome. I will use my Water Qi to force all liquid up, upon the explosion making it's source known."

The duo rushed to the cave system. There were five caves with four trees around the caves each. Instead of trying to figure out which one was the right one.

They decided to just blow up all of the trees. Within minutes of the dome being done, Rex made sure to cover most of the ground with Water Qi. He made sure not to touch the trees directly. Even with the roots being slightly out, that did not trigger any of the explosions.

"You ready?"

"No. But this needs to be stopped."

The ground shook violently. That was not the issue for the Ancient Zuggurant. What was that there were multiple beings coming out of the caves.

Each one on par with a Ninth Realm Cultivator. To make matters worst, there was another being who was even stronger.

"Nine beings are coming out. Each one as strong as a Ninth Realm Cultivator. The last being even stronger."

"Noice. Now time to light up the area."

Rex dropped a massive fireball that covered the area. Another explosion shook the ground violently. The caves destroyed and nothing remained expect the last being.

"Rex, you need to fight him head on. Remember no tricks just physical strength." The Ancient Zuggurant warned him.

"The source of the poisoning Quest"

"Either make the being cry like baby or utterly wipe it off the face of the earth"

Rex sweated. Either way, this was going to be a massive fight. When Rex descended into the area. A being of the silver liquid stood in front of him, it's power seemed to come from an unknown source.

Rex got into position to fight. The liquid not even caring what Rex was doing.

A punch hitting the air shook the area. The liquid had a few ripples but nothing major. Rex than tried to incorporate his Qi into the next punch.

Once again, the liquid did not seem to care.

When the punch flew, a shockwave went through the being and it exploded. What Rex had done was used his Qi to slightly make his sweat palms make the natural water on them enter the being.

When the water entered, the being released that being hit with that Qi both inside and out would destroy it either way so it decided to blow itself up.

All the silver liquid vanished. A lazy set of bones seemingly became alive from where the liquid was originally.

"Must become stronger"

Rex knew that defeating the silver liquid was too easy. So he decided to wait out the next phase of the fight.

The Ancient Zuggurant saw fruit became clean as if the poisoning was never there. He did not take any chances and forced beasts to eat the fruit.

By the time evening came, the skeleton came out and Rex blasted it to neverland. As for the Ancient Zuggurant he told the women what had happened and what Rex was doing.

They were happy that Rex was allowing the Ancient Zuggurant and others to slowly become his help.
