Chapter 23: Chaos in the Coiled Serpent Sect

Kayode sat cross-legged beneath the shade of an iroko tree, his White Core still pulsating with residual energy from his recent breakthroughs. He was finally starting to feel like he was in control of his destiny. That is, until the system chimed in with its usual smug tone.

"Kayode, I have a new item for you to consider. Something truly unique."

Kayode sighed. "You again. What now?"

"Behold, Palmwine of Chaos! A divine brew that temporarily boosts your cultivation by 200%, heightens your spiritual awareness, and may lead to unforeseen opportunities!"

Kayode's heart sank as memories of his last encounter with the Palmwine of Chaos resurfaced. "You mean the last time I drank that and ended up in a dragon lair, almost becoming dragon food?"

Oba snickered from his perch. "Don't be so dramatic, Kayode. That's how you got me, remember? Maybe another sip of chaos is what you need."

Kayode rolled his eyes. "Not a chance. I've learned my lesson."

"Are you sure?" the system teased. "It's only 2,000 A.P., and considering how much you've been hoarding lately, you can definitely afford it."

Kayode groaned. "Fine! But this is the last time. If this backfires, I'm coming for you."

---

The Chaos Returns

Reluctantly, Kayode purchased the Palmwine of Chaos, and the glowing gourd appeared in his hand. Its potent aroma filled the air.

Oba sniffed disdainfully. "Smells dangerous. You sure you're ready for this, boy?"

Kayode hesitated for a moment before taking a small sip. A warm surge of energy coursed through his body, his Qi surging dramatically. "Not bad," he muttered, but before he could finish his thought, the world spun violently.

"Oh no," Kayode groaned, clutching his head.

Oba stretched lazily. "Here we go again."

---

The Treasure Pavilion

When the dizziness subsided, Kayode found himself standing in an ornate hall brimming with treasures. Shelves of glowing artifacts, jars of rare herbs, and sparkling weapons surrounded him.

"System," he hissed, "where have you sent me this time?"

"Congratulations, Kayode!" the system replied cheerfully. "You've been transported to the Treasure Pavilion of the Coiled Serpent Sect."

Kayode's eyes widened in horror. "You sent me straight into enemy territory? Are you trying to kill me?!"

Before the system could respond, heavy footsteps echoed through the hall. A group of robed elders entered, their expressions shifting from surprise to fury.

"How dare you trespass into our sacred pavilion?" one bellowed.

Kayode instinctively tightened his grip on his storage bag. "System, I need an escape plan. Now!"

Oba yawned. "Relax, boy. Let's see how this plays out first."

The elders surrounded him, their powerful auras pressing down on him. "You're just a Golden Core cultivator," one sneered. "Surrender your treasures, and we might let you live."

Kayode smirked, his fingers itching to activate his trump card. "You've underestimated me."

---

Random Summon: Erekere

Kayode activated his Random Summon, and the golden portal flared to life. From the glowing rift emerged Erekere, the Spirit of Mischief and Laughter, dressed in his usual flamboyant outfit.

Erekere struck a dramatic pose. "Ah, what an audience! What's the occasion? A heist? A festival? Or maybe a little chaos?"

Kayode facepalmed. "Not again. Why is it always you?"

Oba, perched on a nearby shelf, burst into laughter. "This just keeps getting better."

The elders stared, dumbfounded. "Who… who is this buffoon?"

Erekere wagged his finger. "Buffoon? No, no, no. I'm the Spirit of Mischief! And today, I'm here to… liberate your treasures! Hehehe! Okeremechecheicha"

Before the elders could react, Erekere pulled out his enchanted Funnybros Bag and began scooping up treasures at a ridiculous speed, all while humming a cheerful tune.

"Stop him!" one elder roared, sending a wave of Qi at the mischievous spirit.

Erekere dodged with ease, spinning dramatically. "Too slow, old man! Haven't you heard? Chaos is my specialty!"

---

The Ultimate Heist

As Erekere danced through the pavilion, Kayode tried to keep up, his head spinning from the absurdity of the situation. The elders launched attack after attack, but Erekere deflected them effortlessly, using his bag to absorb Qi blasts like they were harmless bubbles.

In the chaos, Kayode felt a strange tug at his chest. "Wait… what's happening?"

The system's voice sounded panicked. "Kayode, your A.P. balance is dropping rapidly! He's… he's stealing your A.P.!"

Kayode's jaw dropped. "Erekere! What are you doing?!"

Erekere grinned mischievously as he stuffed the last treasure into his bag. "Oh, just taking a little service fee. Chaos doesn't come cheap, you know!"

Kayode's rage boiled over. "That's my A.P.!"

Erekere winked. "Not anymore. But hey, consider it payment for my brilliant performance!"

Before Kayode could protest, Erekere snapped his fingers. A blinding light filled the room, and when it cleared, Kayode, Oba, and the Funnybros Bag were gone, leaving behind a group of furious elders.

---

Aftermath

Kayode reappeared in the forest, his fists clenched in fury. "That… that thief! He stole all my A.P.!"

Oba rolled onto his back, laughing uncontrollably. "You've got to admit, boy, that was hilarious. You couldn't have planned a better heist."

The system's tone was unusually subdued. "Kayode, I… I'll admit, I underestimated his cunning. But on the bright side, you now possess the entire treasury of the Coiled Serpent Sect."

Kayode opened the Funnybros Bag and peered inside. His anger momentarily subsided as he saw the mountain of treasures within. Rare cultivation manuals, heavenly herbs, and powerful artifacts filled the bag.

Oba smirked. "See? Chaos always has its benefits. You'll just have to rebuild your A.P. the hard way."

Kayode sighed. "Next time, remind me to never summon Erekere again."

Oba stretched lazily. "No promises."
