My Movie Queen

Chapter 40

As the sun set, Vanessa went to Yanna's house, and set casually on the comfortable couch.

She looked around the house and felt more comfortable than in her own home. Slowly, Vanessa let her guard down and her indifference faded as she took a deep breath. Glancing at the time, she knew that Yanna would be arriving soon.

Vanessa went to the backyard and prepared some tea, deciding to wait there.

Before long, Yanna arrived, dressed in a black business suit.

Vanessa raised her eyebrows, noticing how elegant and confident Yanna looked in the suit. It was the first time she had seen Yanna in such attire, so she couldn't help but stare.

As Yanna spotted Vanessa in the backyard, she walked towards her with a smile and greeted her.

"You look good," Vanessa complimented.

"Thank you, but I still prefer dresses or skirts over suits," Yanna responded.

"Then why did you wear a suit?" Vanessa inquired.

"I had to. My client is a businesswoman, so I wanted to convey professionalism," Yanna explained.

Vanessa nodded and took Yanna's coat, then served her some tea.

Yanna smiled and took a sip. Her eyes widened as she looked at Vanessa.

Vanessa understood Yanna's reaction and smiled.

"I want to learn how to cook, but unfortunately, I'm not gifted in that area. However, I managed to learn how to make tea based on my taste. Did you like it?"

"Yeah, my girlfriend is amazing~," Yanna replied.

"It's just tea," Vanessa murmured, slightly lowering her head. She felt shy being called a girlfriend, but she was also happy.

Yanna noticed Vanessa's shyness and couldn't help but tease her.

She leaned in closer to Vanessa's ear and whispered in a seductive tone, "Honey~ Are you hungry?~"

Vanessa was flustered and blushed. She hadn't expected Yanna to be so bold. She glanced at Yanna, only to quickly avert her eyes. Her heart was racing, making it difficult to maintain eye contact with Yanna.

There were no pheromones present, but Vanessa felt a strong attraction towards Yanna in that moment. Her mind was in chaos when Yanna hugged her from behind.

Yanna felt satisfied with Vanessa's reaction, but she knew she couldn't be too demanding.

"You keep teasing me," Vanessa said in a soft voice.

Yanna giggled, finding Vanessa incredibly cute.

"I just miss you so much," Yanna replied.

"Really? I thought you liked your job more than me. You've been busy since the last time I was here,"

"I like you more than anything in my life. I'll tell you later why I'm busy. I just need to change first, okay?"

Vanessa leaned on Yanna and didn't let her go for a while. She missed her too.

"I miss you too. By the way, there's a party tomorrow afternoon. If you're not busy, do you want to come with me?"

Yanna contemplated. It's a party, and she knew there would be a lot of people.

' If I'm not mistaken, in the book, Vanessa initially rejected Oliver as her escort. However, due to a phone call from some of her relatives, she accepted him on his second invitation '

"Yanna, are you busy tomorrow?"

"No, I'll go with you."

"Really? There will definitely be cameras and reporters tomorrow."

"Don't worry. How can I let other people be your escort when you're mine? Anyway, I'll go change now."

Yanna lightly kissed Vanessa's lips and went to her room.

Vanessa was speechless at Yanna's sweet words once again. She looked at the sky and touched her lips.

"She said I am hers. I like it when she says something like that. She's mine too. I hope I can tell everyone," she murmured while feeling sleepy.

Yanna quickly changed and when she came back, Vanessa was already sleeping on the couch. Yanna checked her position to see if she was uncomfortable and then went to the kitchen to start cooking.

Vanessa heard a sound in the kitchen and slowly woke up. She sat down and looked at the time. She had only slept for a few minutes before glancing at the kitchen.

She watched Yanna gracefully move around the kitchen, adding spices and ingredients to create a mouthwatering meal. The sizzling sound of food on the stove and the clinking of utensils filled the air.

Yanna noticed Vanessa and smiled at her. Vanessa went to the kitchen and hugged Yanna from behind, even though she was still cooking. Yanna allowed her to hug her while cooking.

"Did I wake you up?" Yanna asked.

"No," Vanessa replied.

"You must be tired," Yanna commented.

"No," Vanessa responded.

"Really?" Yanna questioned.

"I love you," Vanessa declared.

Yanna chuckled, stopped what she was doing, and turned around to hold Vanessa's face.

"Honey, I love you too," Yanna replied warmly. "I'll be done soon. You should lay down and rest."

"I'm not tired," Vanessa sweetly said, hugging Yanna.

Yanna couldn't resist Vanessa's cuteness when she acted like this. She lightly kissed Vanessa again but didn't let go.

Surprised but willing, Vanessa kissed her back. She enjoyed this peaceful and relaxing moment, feeling amazing to be with someone she truly wanted to be with.

They both stopped kissing when Yanna smelled something burning. She immediately turned off the stove and looked at the burned meat.

"It's okay," Vanessa assured, also looking at the burnt food.

"Yeah, maybe I should focus on cooking first," Yanna suggested.

"Can I watch you?" Vanessa asked.

"Of course," Yanna replied.

Yanna soon finished the dishes, while Vanessa served the food on the table and prepared the plates and utensils.
