My Mother Is A Powerful Yandere Vampire!

Chapter 12: 012

A woman was walking down a long, dark hallway. It was pitch black, but the woman had no trouble seeing ahead.

She had long silver-white hair that came down to her shoulders, while her blood-red eyes shone under the eerie dark.

Valentina had exited the throne room; a million thoughts flooded her mind as she walked through the hall.

'Why do those prophetic dreams have to come under my rule!?' She cursed her bad luck inwardly as her face twisted in annoyance.

She continued walking while her cursing continued, and soon she reached her destination.

"We greet her Highness the Queen!" Two guards bowed at her at ninety degrees, but Valentina ignored their greetings. "Open the door to the library." she commanded as she looked at the large imposing door in front.

The door was made out of large dark wood with intricate carvings of two vampire armies fighting each other.

The guards soon turned towards the door and pushed it open.

CREAK

Valentina walked in as soon as she opened, "Don't let anyone in!" She said she had disappeared into the library.

The library was a large room filled with thousands of shelves housing millions of books.

Valentina then began to walk around the library while browsing the shelves. She walked past many shelves, each having books on a different topic: noble vampire houses, the history of the royal family, the history of vampires, the history of the kingdom, the history of the world, etc.

But she ignored all of them and soon reached her destination. She looked at the label on the shelf, "Prophecies!"

She then walked towards the shelf to look at the books, but her eyes widened in surprise when there was only one book.

'Strange. Prophecies are always mentioned whenever our race has experienced a disaster. So why do we have only one book?' she asked herself with a frown.

Nonetheless, she picked up the rusty book, as thick as her hand, and walked towards one of the tables nearby.

THUD

She placed the book on the table with a soft thud and sat in the chair before she started reading it.

'The vampire race is incapable of dreaming. But whenever a disaster is about to hit the race, one of the vampires has dreams; these dreams are always prophetic and should not be ignored.'

Valentina turned the page and continued reading, 'These prophecies helped the vampire race survive the disaster and, if they were ignored, could have led to the race's extinction!'

Valentina's eyes widened in shock when she read those words, 'If ignored, can lead to our destruction?' she asked herself in shock, but then she took a moment to calm herself down and continued reading.

'No one truly understands how we have these dreams or who, but it has been proven that whoever had them always played a key role in the race's survival.'

Valentina recalled her conversation with Khiona and the explanation she had given on how her son had just had a dream last night.

She then continued to read, but the book just repeated what it had done before: 'So there's basically no information!' She exclaimed.

Her face contorted into one of frustration as she closed the book.

SLAM

She slammed the table with her hand, "Fuck, this is annoying! I have no clue about the disaster! And I have to wait for the boy to have another dream!" she yelled in anger.

She kept cursing for a couple of minutes before she sighed and calmed down.

She closed her eyes and recalled every single word Khiona had said to her, 'Wait!' she exclaimed inwardly as she opened her eyes, 'She said that the man had four arms and red skin!'

She immediately jolted out of her chair and walked towards the races section with big strides.

Upon reaching the shelf, she walked in to see thousands of books, each explaining a different race.

She walked towards the section of the shelf that focused on bipedal races.

'Hmm, she said it had four arms, red skin, and pure golden eyes,' she muttered inwardly as she began to search each book.

"Vampires… Werewolves… Elves… demons… humans…." She kept on muttering the book names until she found a book that had no title.

She frowned at this as she picked up the book and opened it.

But her frown deepened when there was only one line in the entire book. Every other page was blank!

She then looked at the text; it was written in red ink.

Valentina narrowed her eyes at the colour of the text; she leaned forward and smelled it.

Her blood-red eyes glinted in shock as she muttered, "Blood!"

The single line in a nameless book was written in blood, and it read, 'The beings who love carnage—'

But Valentina couldn't read the entire sentence; her eyes quivered with fear while her heart drummed against her chest out of fright.

Sweat formed between her brows while her body involuntarily trembled.

Her breath became laboured as she tried to spell out the last word, "A-Asura!"

…..

Meanwhile,

"Then, mom, since I am alright, can you resume my training?" Max asked with pleading eyes.

Khiona narrowed her eyes at her son, "Hmph, so you praised your mother for this!?" she said as she snorted at him.

Max winced as he got caught; he looked at his mother, who was now facing the other side.

"N-No, mom. You are really cool!!"

"Hmph! I do not believe you!" Khiona replied.

Max sighed in response as he got up from his chair. He then stepped towards his mother with a smile and whispered in her ear, "Then let me show you how cool I think you are…"

Khiona frowned and tried to turn towards her son, but before she could do that, Max lifted her off her chair.

"Ah!" Khiona yelped in surprise as she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck and turned towards Max, who was smirking at her.

Helena, who was standing beside Khiona's chair, was now flushed red. Her heartbeat quickened while her heart tingled, 'They are going to do it, right!?'
