My room was illuminated by the rays of the falling sun that came through the balcony, The sky was truly majestic filled with orange and red hues that caused the clouds to stand out. Of course I was too busy staring blankly ahead to fully admire the scene.
"I told her not to make it gaudy…." I muttered in helplessness as I stared at my reflection in the full length mirror.
Or more specifically the outfit that seemed to scream for attention. The black fabric was barely visible beneath the elaborate glistening gold embroidery that sprawled across every inch of the coat and tunic. Not only was the collar fully golden but the cuffs were as well leaving me to feel empty inside.
'….' Even my hair was slicked back trapped in a prison of gel that and already frown hard.
"You look very handsome hero" A voice drew me out of my self pity as I looked to the side finding a servant straightening any wrinkles.
"I look like a gold coin" I muttered causing the young woman to quickly turn her head and stifle a laugh.
"Hero may I be honest with you?" The servant looked at my reflection in the mirror as she fixed my left cuff.
"Feel free" I sighed while wondering if I should help that old seamstress to an early retirement.
"It might be a little…over the top but~" The young woman nodded her head while giving me a look up.
"When you're attractive nothing truly looks bad" She gave me a thumbs up and walked away before I could even respond leaving me speechless.
"…." I was left in silence with nothing more than my thoughts and the white cat that was sleeping on my bed.
"She truly is lazy" I muttered as I stepped off the raised pedestal I was standing on and pulled at the tight collar.
'I'm actually looking forward to this' I smiled slightly as I stared at my reflection although there was a small issue that tugged at my chest.
"Ella…" My voice was calm although tinged with a slight heaviness that I couldn't ignore.
I hadn't spoken to Ella since I had asked her to make a choice especially since I was busy with figuring out my new blessing and the petite demon that's as following me around, Although I hadn't had a new dream last night which left me disappointed that I couldn't see Mira.
'What will she chose?' I was prepared for her answer and yet there was still a small part of me that feared what she might say.
"Well at least I have a nice date planned for tonight" I smiled already imagining the look on Leon's face for what I had planned.
'And then there's….'
I grabbed a small box that was laying on the bed and felt nervousness traveling throughout my body. The main reason for my minor nerves wasn't the issues with Leon and the goddess but what I had planned afterword, I put the box inside my coat pocket and let out a deep breath.
"You sure you don't want to come?" I asked as I looked back at the cat that was pretending to sleep.
"A room filled with humans I'm not allowed to kill?" Vera looked up as if I had asked a stupid question.
"If you let me kill~"
"No" I instantly cut off her words making her hiss at me in annoyance before curling up in a ball.
"Then I'll stay here" She huffed out a breath that would have looked cute if she wasn't pretending to be a cat.
"Fine but when I get back your being punished for that attitude" I spoke making her stiffen and glare up at me with wary eyes.
'I think that's everything' I muttered glancing around before heading toward the door and entering the hallway.
