My Hero Academia: Thunder God

Chapter 259: Chapter 258: The Terror of Cementoss!

In the monitoring room, after hearing Tetsutetsu's plan, everyone fell silent, including Kaminari.

"This… I always thought Tetsutetsu and Kirishima were the same type of person, but now I realize I didn't understand him as well as I thought," Midoriya muttered in surprise.

"Yeah!" Uraraka nodded enthusiastically in agreement, her expression so adorable that Midoriya's heart skipped a beat.

"Indeed, Tetsutetsu… he's changed a lot. He's grown stronger not just physically, but in every way." Kaminari watched the screen with satisfaction, pleased by the progress of his iron-willed friend.

"Well then, what are you going to do, boys?"

Ninety meters ahead, Cementoss remained crouched, his gaze fixed on the approaching students. He genuinely hoped that Tetsutetsu and Kirishima would find a way to pass.

Tetsutetsu continued smashing through concrete pillars, calling out, "Are you ready?"

"Yeah, sure, I'm ready for anything, but… wait, why do I get the feeling you're about to—HEY!!"

WHOOSH!!

Just as Kirishima was about to finish complaining, Tetsutetsu suddenly kicked him—hard—on the rear. With the force of a steel-powered leg strike, Kirishima was launched through the air at high speed.

"Damn it, Tetsutetsu! You'll pay for this!"

Kirishima shouted in midair, but despite his irritation, his instincts took over. As he neared a building, he extended his Hardened hand and slammed it into the wall, gripping tightly to slow himself down.

"Oh! I see him! I see Cementoss!"

Meanwhile, Tetsutetsu paid no mind to Kirishima's complaints. As a dozen more concrete pillars rained down upon him, he suddenly vanished.

SHAVE!

A moment later, he reappeared on the roadside, crouching low. The next second, he launched himself into the air with an explosive jump.

But he wasn't done. As soon as his feet landed on a building wall, he bent his legs, gathering momentum, and then propelled himself forward again, this time straight toward Cementoss.

"Whoa… that's insane. Tetsutetsu can do all that just with leg strength?" Midoriya gaped at the screen in awe.

To be fair, Midoriya himself could accomplish similar feats using One For All, but Tetsutetsu's version had a raw, unstoppable quality to it, almost like a battering ram in motion.

"Not surprising," Kaminari remarked.

He knew firsthand how powerful Tetsutetsu's legs were. For someone capable of using Shave, his leg strength had already reached a level beyond the ordinary, almost as if it were a Quirk in itself.

What intrigued Kaminari more was the strategy. Since a direct ground assault was impossible, Tetsutetsu and Kirishima had chosen to attack from above. Splitting into two directions—one left, one right—was their best bet.

"For them, this is the only way… they don't have the ability to fly, after all."

If it were Kaminari in this situation, he would've simply used his High Voltage Discharge mode to take to the skies and rain down attacks from above.

"But this strategy…"

Just as Kaminari was analyzing, Tetsutetsu and Kirishima continued their advance. Their movement was anything but delicate, they were literally crashing through the walls of buildings, using sheer brute force to push forward.

Only twenty meters remained between them and Cementoss.

"I see… this could actually work," Cementoss murmured, smiling. "But don't forget, those walls you're jumping on? They're made of cement too!"

The moment he spoke, the walls around them seemed to come alive. Cement pillars burst out of the buildings like writhing stone serpents, twisting toward Tetsutetsu and Kirishima.

"Hah! We're this close, just one last push!" Kirishima grinned, smashing a pillar with his fist before leaping forward through the opening.

"Haha, checkmate!!"

"Oh? You sure about that?" Cementoss asked quietly.

BOOM!!!

"Wha—?!"

Back in the monitoring room, Kaminari and the others watched in shock as the ground just meters in front of Cementoss suddenly transformed. Like an erupting volcano, the solid concrete melted into a thick, flowing mass.

Kirishima, mid-air and unable to change direction, was instantly engulfed by the rising cement. His hardened body was trapped almost instantly, only his face left exposed.

At the same time, Tetsutetsu suffered the same fate except unlike Kirishima, he still had some momentum left.

And he used it.

WHOOSH!!

Just before the cement could fully immobilize him, Tetsutetsu disappeared again—then reappeared right beside Cementoss.

SNAP.

With blinding speed, he slapped a pair of yellow capture cuffs onto Cementoss's right wrist, pinning it against the ground.

A breeze swept past them, making the white cape of Tetsutetsu's hero costume flutter dramatically.

"Again with this move…" Cementoss muttered, staring at the cuffs. "So fast—I couldn't keep up with my eyes."

He sighed, then relaxed his hands, officially surrendering.

But no one noticed something crucial, beneath Tetsutetsu's feet, the ground was no longer smooth. It had shifted, slightly raised.

Cementoss had said that he couldn't see Tetsutetsu's movement. But that didn't mean he couldn't react.

If this had been a real battle, the moment Tetsutetsu vanished, Cementoss would have transformed the cement around him into deadly spikes.

And at that moment, with Tetsutetsu's right leg still partially trapped in cement, he wouldn't have been able to use Shave again to escape.

In a real fight… he would've been skewered.

DING!

"Tetsutetsu, Kirishima—exam conditions met."

Throughout the training grounds, the students scattered across the exam area heard the announcement. Some were surprised, some were relieved, and some grew even more nervous about their own upcoming matches.

"That was a brilliant strategy," Kaminari thought to himself. "But Cementoss definitely went easy on them…"

He glanced at the harmless-looking teacher on the screen, knowing full well that in a real battle, Cementoss was nearly unstoppable.

"In an environment where the entire battlefield is made of cement… getting close to him at all should be impossible. He can liquefy and reshape the terrain instantly.

Basically… he's almost like a Logia user from One Piece. It's not a fight Tetsutetsu and Kirishima could ever win even if they trained for years."

The realization sent a shiver down Kaminari's spine.

"UA's teachers… they're absolute monsters."
