My Formula 1 System

Chapter 551: Mad May. 4

London, UK.

On this strange escapade of hers, Isabella had set out a list of plans and activities she would carry out for her success.

Contrary to what she thought she would feel, Isabella found bizarre pleasure and cheerfulness in doing what she was doing. It made her feel like she was under a spell, a spell that she thought was fun and didn't want to come out of.

The days of being hypnotized rolled by oddly, as if the universe itself was conspiring to keep her occupied and energized.

Little by little, her efforts took on a momentum of their own, expanding her curiosity into corners of life she had never expected to step into.

By the time her focus aligned, it was almost as though fate had drawn the entire map for her, and at the edge of the map was the treasure of success—the moment Luca would reveal that diamond ring and fall to one knee.

Operation Make-My-Man-Happy wasn't a petite task involving superficial girlfriend things like surprise gifts and sweet words. Isabella's definition was on a different scale, because what she had just taken upon herself was more of a wife's blueprint.

At the top of the list was Family Care, since family was the most important thing to both her and Luca.

Isabella vowed to escort Mrs. Rennick to regular hospital checks to make sure her health was always monitored, and her fainting episodes prevented. Even prescriptions and diets would be tracked.

This wouldn't be easy for her, because her own father's health was also under her vigilance.

But Mr. Schafer had more hands and care around him, unlike Mrs. Rennick who leaned heavily on Luca, so Isabella convinced herself her attention was better placed there.

After all, stepping into the shoes of a wife meant leaving her own world and fully immersing herself in his.

From Family Care, Isabella promised the entire care of "their legacy," as she put it for optimism, to make her feel unstoppable for a brighter and stronger tomorrow for her and Luca.

With the help of Manuela, Isabella familiarized herself with the structure around Luca, the people who kept his world turning when he was behind the wheel or on duty.

To prevent prying too deeply, she only requested to learn the faces and roles of his closest, superficial staff, especially the security chief. This way, she could understand the framework of his life in order to begin hoisting up pillars.

Mallow demanded to know why Manuela was handing out staff information, but Manuela calmly defended herself, saying it was only the surface-level details and nothing confidential.

She also mentioned that it was requested by Luca's fiancée after all, but Mallow wasn't impressed by that remark. Leaning back, he knew the half-German chick, as he always referred to Isabella, wasn't yet official with a ring on her hand.

He didn't buy into that title, though he still gave Manuela the green light.

After a series of successes, Isabella gave herself little rest and enjoyment, feeling fulfilled in what she had managed so far. In her leisure, she wondered what Luca's expression would be when he eventually saw the fruits of her labor.

Would he smile in approval, or would he look at everything thoughtfully with no remark?

At the moment, Isabella was certain Luca must have already heard about her prying, likely wondering what she was up to. This thought made her happy, as she believed it meant she had managed to occupy his head at least, even though it was in a small way and for a brief time.

The next thing in line was to take charge of the future in a more grounded way, starting with overseeing Luca's properties in the UK, making sure they were well-kept and properly managed under her watch.

From there, her mind drifted back to the thought he once shared about wanting a new homely mansion, and she began to imagine herself scouting lands and estates, turning that quiet wish of his into a concrete reality.

But none of these plans was as peculiar as the final one, which she knew would be the most impactful of all. Above the rest, Isabella was 100% certain that it would genuinely touch Luca, and there must be a smile on his face.

After learning about Ansel's tragic death on track and later hearing of his fiancée giving birth to their child, Isabella put two and two together.

She knew Luca had been carrying the heavy grief of Ansel's death since the tragedy of last year, and now the thought of a newborn child left fatherless would only deepen that sorrow.

To Isabella, it was clear this was a wound that would never truly heal. But she was here to make amends.

Singlehandedly, she resolved that she would be the bridge, uniting Ansel's child with Luca so he could at least hold onto a living piece of his best friend.

Of course, Isabella had heard of the friction between Luca and Laura because Laura had stubbornly refused his offers to help.

But as a fellow woman, Isabella believed she could do what Luca could not: approach Laura with empathy, sisterhood, and eventually get her to loosen up where grief had built an unyielding wall.

This mission would no doubt take her to Germany. But since she could board a flight to Monaco without hesitation, Isabella reasoned Berlin would be no different.

If traveling was the first hurdle, then reaching out and convincing Laura would certainly be the second. But the third would be much easier: hosting a small function with Laura, her family, and Luca in attendance.

That final step would be the piece of cake that sealed everything.

By the following week, Isabella was already packed and prepared for her journey. She planned to head out ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix, eager to arrive in Germany and immerse herself in its atmosphere during the race weekend.

Her intended pace was to have everything with Laura settled before Luca's return from the Belgian GP, so that the moment he touched back down in Germany, the next step would be the long-overdue get-together.
