My Dual Cultivation System - [Xianxia LitRPG]

Chapter 3: Dual Cultivation System

Lin Fei decided to properly assess the system first. According to his mother, after her forceful removal from the battle, she had fallen into slumber. She was only distinctly aware of being attached to his soul.

"Wait, you were with me all this time?" He asked, incredulously.

Lin Xinyue smiled and explained. Lin Fei listened attentively, his eyes growing wide at each sentence spoken.

According to her, after the activation of the Array, it had created some kind of artificial cycle of Samsara and sent his soul into reincarnation. Which meant that the Lin Fei before this was still him, but suppressed.

"If I'm not wrong, then a large portion of your soul was probably in slumber all this while." She stated.

Which would make sense, he thought. It would also explain the previous Lin Fei's shitty talent when it came to cultivation.

Shaking his head to stop himself from delving into those thoughts, Lin Fei instead focused on the floated screen before him.

Some fields, like his name, lifespan, race, and realms, were self-explanatory. He knew that Bloodline referred to, well, Bloodline. A mystic lineage that dated back to some powerful expert with inherited abilities. While the Physique must mean a special mutation that was quite rare to find.

SP, as it turned out, referred to sex points, and his mother laughed at that.

"You seriously wished for a dual cultivation system?" Lin Xinyue covered her mouth to stop her laughter.

Lin Fei deadpanned and glanced at the listed ways to earn these points.

Most could be earned by means of doing quests. Others required him to engage in intimate acts with others. Like, for example, dual cultivation.

Since there was nothing listed under the Abilities, he immediately moved down and checked the Ability Shop. Listed within were tons of abilities that he had difficulty parsing at a single glance.

They must number in the millions or even more.

Although it was listed as an ability shop, what it sold were techniques. Lin Xinyue peered down from his shoulder and frowned at some of their ranking descriptions.

"Utterly absurd!"

Hearing her cry out in disbelief, Lin Fei couldn't help but ask, "What's got you so riled up, mother?"

Seeing her pointing at one of the cultivation techniques, Lin Fei raised a brow and read the tier and the cost.

For some reason, techniques above Tier 6 were blurry and grayed out. So he could only see the rank, which read Tier 17, and the cost that numbered in millions of SP.

Inhaling a cold breath, Lin Fei exited the shop and moved to another tab. Much like the Ability Shop, the Item Shop followed similar principles, though the price was a bit higher than the techniques.

At last he opened the Bloodline Tab, and his eyes widened to the extreme. There were only three rankings of Bloodline available, but what left him floored was the absurd cost requirement.

"I don't have much of anything right now, so I need to use a different method for getting stronger."

As he recalled the requirement Void Sword Sect placed on their Trial Disciples, he frowned in thought.

"There's no need to worry." Lin Xinyue said. "Although I lack the benefit of my cultivation base, I should still be able to provide some help."

Lin Fei turned his attention to his busty mother and felt a stirring in his groins. Shaking off the thoughts, he asked, "Is it the damage that's impeding you from recovering?"

Hearing his question, Lin Xinyue let out a sigh.

The truth was, a cultivator at her realm could easily reconstruct their physical bodies. The only problem was that her soul had received extensive damage, and most of her efforts went into isolating a chunk of destructive energy currently inhibiting her soul.

For over two decades she had only managed to whittle down a minute portion of this energy. From her estimations, it would require her over a hundred million years to completely purge the foreign energy.

"But that's absurdly long." Lin Fei groused.

"I know." Lin Xinyue said solemnly. "That's why you need to cultivate fast and help me. Any rare material can help, but if I had the support of a Transcendent Alchemist, then I should be able to recover in a century or two."

"Transcendent Alchemist..." Lin Fei shook his head, sighing. Void Sword Sect was strong, no doubt. But their level only went so far. He would be hard-pressed to even find a Sage, much less a Transcendent.

"Of course there's another option too." Lin Xinyue offered. "If you can find my sword, the Phoenix Heart Core should be able to help me recover in no time at all."

Lin Fei pondered for a moment before firming his resolve. Finding an alchemist at Transcendent Level would be difficult, and so would her sword. The best he could provide would be rare materials.

Having made his decision, he turned to smile at his mother and spoke. "I have made up my mind, but it might take me a long time to help you completely."

His mother grinned back. "Do I look like I'm running out of time?" I'm immortal, Fei'r; the only thing I have in abundance is time."

"It's too bad, though..."

"Oh? What's so bad?"

Lin Fei leaned closer to her sinful form. "I thought I might finally get a chance to dominate you. You know, all this while it has always been you at the top..."

As he trailed off, Lin Xinyue moved even closer, almost touching his lips. "Maybe when I finally get my body back, you would have the opportunity to pump some babies into me."

She had always been insatiable and had always longed for children. If they hadn't found the treasure, she might've finally pushed past the resistance and had him impregnate her.

Lin Fei knew her desire and leaned closer to kiss her but found his head pass right through, a chill enveloping his whole body.

Lin Xinyue floated backward, laughing lightly.

"Don't be impatient. You waited a million years; surely you can wait some more."

Lin Fei shook his head and smiled.

"Yeah, you're right. I think it's time to finally start on that promise."
