My Dragon King System

Chapter 155: Early Test

Aiden returned back to the ground, and stared at his clawed hands for a while.

"Such power" he whispered, but in the majestic voice of a dragon.

He then ended the transformation and returned back to normal. There was however just one problem. He was utterly naked

He sighed, thinking of what to do. There was no other choice than to get new change of clothes.

Aiden warped back into his room for a second, thankfully there wasn't any other there. So he got a new change of clothes, and returned back to the pocket domain.

"I should probably start keeping spare unformed inside my inventory. Anyways, let's continue"

The system carried on with sending out new screens

[The Magics you've gained through Dragon's Bond have been leveled up by a rank]

[Dragon's bond also affects Laela and Arianna and so their magic strength will now be leveled up by one rank]

Aiden couldn't help but smile at this one. It was a good thing that his soon-to-be wives will also grow alongside him.

The System Continued,

[All Copied spells will now be improved by one rank]

"wonderful" Aiden had this smile on his face. So now whatever magic spell he had copied so far from other mages will be used at the level stronger than it was initially copied.

[You have gained a new Replication Authority Skill: Alter Duplicates ]

[Alter Duplicates → Host is able make duplicates of other people. At your level, this is limited to what you remember of them, alongside their personalities and mind. You can only make one alter duplicate of the original]

For a second, a lewd thought came to Aiden's mind. Hm being in between Two Laelas and Two Arianna's who are all naked.

Then he shook his head as if waving thoughts away. "Aiden, You're absolutely silly" he said to himself then continued sampling the further updates.

[You have gained a new Space Authority Skill: Black Hole]

[Black Hole → Host is able to create a blackhole that pulls everything within a 25 kilometers radius into it. Be it magic or structures]

[Blackhole is indiscriminate but doesn't affect negatively, those who share in your Dragon's bond]

[You have gained a new Destruction Authority Skill: Neuro Purge]

[Neuro Purge → Host is able to erase a target's most recent thought or memory]

[The Host has been granted +2,000,000xp for making it to Skyfang]

[All stats have been raised by +60 as those are befitting of a skyfang]

[You have received an item from the Treasury Of Previous Kings: Life Restoration Potion]

[Life Restoration Potion → Mythic Value Item. This Potion restores the life to a deceased]

[The Potion only works on one who is certainly dead. It must be used within the hour of passing and nothing more]

Aiden could not deny that he wasn't shocked with having a mythic value item.

Mythic value was the highest ranking value an item could possibly have, and this one could bring back the dead.

"The ones before me certainly kept interesting items" Aiden said to himself.

The system however continued,

[Dragon curse meter has increased by +15]

[Host has now gone past the 80 threshold on Dragon curse meter, and will begin to experience certain changes]

[Your eyes will remain in the likeness of a dragon's. Although at this level, Dragon's sight skill still has to be activated]

[Host will no longer feel hunger or thirst. If you are to eat or drink, it will only be out of merriment and not survival]

Aiden sighed at the curse meter increase and current effects on his body. However he didn't linger on the thought either.

"Is that all for upgrades and rewards?"

[That is all]

"I'll look into those stats later" he said then made the screens go away, then warped away from the domain.

….

The main room the next day was had so much chatter going on that morning. Everyone was talking about the Grand Guild Games starting tomorrow.

Then Bernard emerged from the kitchen carrying several large platters covered with cloth.

"Alright, everyone!" Bernard called out, his voice lowered the guild's noise. "I need your attention!"

The room quieted, and the mages turned towards him.

Bernard set the platters down on the center table and pulled back the cloths, revealing four different dishes. Steam rose from each one, filling the room with rich, savory aromas.

"I've been working on these for the cooking contest tomorrow," Bernard said, looking around at the guild. "But I need help deciding which one to actually use. So, everyone's going to taste them and vote."

Piers grinned. "Now this is the kind of guild meeting I could live for."

Katherine stepped forward, eyeing the dishes with interest. "What are we working with?"

"First one's a spiced roasted boar with honey glaze and herb stuffing," Bernard said, pointing.

"Second is a layered stew with root vegetables and enchanted stock. Third is grilled fish with citrus reduction. And the fourth is a slow-cooked lamb shank with wine sauce."

Laela's eyes lit up. "They all look amazing."

"Don't just look," Bernard said, handing out plates and utensils. "Taste. I need honest opinions."

One by one, the guild members served themselves small portions of each dish and began eating.

The room filled with appreciative sounds. Hums of satisfaction and pleasure.

Even Kayden, who rarely showed enthusiasm for anything, nodded approvingly as he chewed.

"Bernard, this is incredible," Elena said, her expression softening into a smile.

"The boar is perfect," Arianna added. "The sweetness of the honey balances the spice so well."

"But the stew has more depth," Piers countered. "The flavors are... I can't seem to get a word into it, but you taste something new with every bite."

Oliver was too busy eating to comment, his plate already piled high with seconds.

After everyone had tasted all four dishes, Bernard crossed his arms and looked around expectantly. "So? Which one?"

There was silence for a moment as the guild members exchanged glances, clearly torn between the dishes.

"They're all good," Laela said finally. "Really good. I don't know how to choose."

"That's the problem," Bernard muttered, running a hand through his hair. "I can't decide either."

Katherine stepped forward, wiping her mouth with a napkin. "The boar is impressive, but the stew feels more… complete. It's the kind of dish that makes you want to keep eating. That's what wins contests."

Several others nodded in agreement.

Bernard considered this, then nodded slowly. "Alright. The stew it is."

A few murmurs of approval went around the room, though some still looked regretful about not choosing the boar.

Bernard began clearing the dishes, muttering to himself about final adjustments and portion sizes.

Aiden watched from his seat with a faint smile on his face.

Tomorrow was going to be interesting.

Later That Day at Grand Magus's Chambers

Aiden stood before Thamoryn, who sat behind her desk with a small velvet box in front of her.

She looked up as he entered, her expression unreadable. "The rings you asked for."

Thamoryn opened the box, revealing two gold bands set with a sapphire gemstone

She pushed the box toward him. "If i didn't know any better, i would have assumed these are for a marriage. But I have to ask regardless. Why do you need these rings, Aiden?"

Aiden chuckled. "Because I'm getting married."

Thamoryn blinked twice. "To whom?"

"Laela. And Arianna."

There was a moment of silence.

Thamoryn leaned back in her chair, with her expression shifting into amusement. "Both of them?"

"Yes." Aiden replied

She exhaled slowly, shaking her head. "Well, these should serve."

Aiden took the box and opened it, examining the rings. They were well-crafted, but however this was Thamoryn he was dealing with.

He had to make sure that these rings were free of any sort of enchantments from her, and so he used his Destruction skill: Zero Effect.

But the rings didn't have any magic enchantments on it. Which meant that she actually got the rings done without trying to being vile.

"Thank you," he said, before turning to leave.

Thamoryn waved a hand.
