My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

The next day.

Lin Feng found out that the children hadn't eaten well for lunch and decided to pack meals for them. Although the kids weren't short of money and there was no shortage of food outside, it was probably a common feeling among parents. Now that the children were older, they didn't need much looking after. The only thing he could do was make sure they were well-fed and warm, so he got up at three in the morning to get busy. He steamed rice, stir-fried some dishes, and dug out the lunchboxes.

At 3:40 a.m., he woke the children. Breakfast was ready, and the kids sat down to eat, yawning.

I just want to go back to sleep!

Second Treasure propped his chin on his hand. "I already feel like I'm stepping into the working world."

The other three nodded in profound agreement.

Lin Feng busied himself in the kitchen. "Stop being so dramatic and eat up, or we'll be late."

Third Treasure poked his head in. "Dad, are you making lunch for us?"

Lin Feng nodded. "Mhm, your godmother's lunchboxes are here too. I've prepared one for each of you. Eat this for lunch."

The children were thrilled!

After seeing the children off, Lin Feng stood at the door, feeling emotional. He figured there would be many more times in the future when he'd stand at the door, watching them leave to start their own lives.

Time flies so fast!

Lin Feng went back to the bedroom to find Little Treasure awake, gazing at her daddy with wide eyes.

"Are you awake now? Do you need to go pee-pee or poo-poo? Or is your tummy hungry?"

Lin Feng picked up Little Treasure, and a quick check revealed she needed a diaper change!

"Honey, come here. Little Treasure is ready for her milk."

Zhang Yuxi opened her eyes, cradled the child in her arms, and propped herself up to feed Little Treasure. Lin Feng stayed by her side.

Little Treasure only fed obediently when she was very hungry; otherwise, she played while she ate. Knowing Lin Feng was sitting by the bed, she would take a few sips and then turn her head to smile at him.

Lin Feng adjusted a towel for Zhang Yuxi and coaxed Little Treasure, "Eat up now. After you eat, it's sleepy time."

Little Treasure giggled and began her gymnastics routine, performing a wide variety of moves. One moment she was playing with Zhang Yuxi's pajamas, the next she was grabbing her own feet, then scratching her head, and then smiling at Lin Feng.

Lin Feng watched Little Treasure with a gentle smile, softly urging her to eat quickly.

When Little Treasure was done eating, Lin Feng pulled her clothes down and patted the little princess on the back to burp her.

Re-energized, Little Treasure started to play.

Lin Feng coaxed her for a long time, but she refused to sleep. When he placed her in the crib, Little Treasure would prop herself up and lift her head to look for her daddy. Upon seeing Lin Feng, she would start crying silent, pitiful tears.

Lin Feng had heard before how the heart-rending cries of a girl could trigger a man's protective instincts. He never really understood it, nor had he ever experienced it.

Until Little Treasure.

She was such a drama queen, a master of looking pitiful. The sight was enough to break your heart.

Lin Feng sighed, picking up Little Treasure to comfort her again. "Are you going to sleep or not? Daddy needs his sleepy time too."

This was a rare occurrence. Usually, Little Treasure would eat once before bed and once again at dawn, then go right back to sleep.

Could it be that my getting up to cook these past two days has affected the little one and kept her from sleeping?

The master bedroom had a large walk-in closet, so Lin Feng had set up a temporary partition to create a small nursery inside. He placed Little Treasure on a soft mat on the floor and lay down.

"Go on and play. Daddy will watch you."

After about half an hour of fussing, Little Treasure grew tired. She lay on the soft mat, drowsy and ready to sleep.

At some point, Zhang Yuxi had appeared at the door. She stood there, watching with a shocked expression. Lin Feng motioned for her to be quiet, then pointed to the child, indicating that she was falling asleep.

Once Little Treasure was sound asleep, Lin Feng put her back in her crib.

Only then did Zhang Yuxi speak. "You really scared me just now! I reached over and you weren't there. Then I looked in the crib, and the baby was gone too! That woke me up completely."

She glanced at the time—it was almost five-thirty. She was too awake to go back to sleep now.

Lin Feng held her. "Can't sleep?"

Zhang Yuxi knew what he was thinking. "If my husband coaxes me a little," she murmured, "I might get sleepy."

Sigh, my wife is a real cutie too!

And so, the family drifted back to sleep.

「Meanwhile, the quadruplets had already started their workday.」

Some fans were already lying in wait, hoping for autographs and photos.

Second Treasure was stunned. "You guys are hardcore! Wouldn't it be better to be sleeping at home?"

Fourth Treasure, who was beside him, asked, "What time did you start waiting?"

A few of them answered, "We started at four o'clock."

Third Treasure was taken aback. "That early?"

First Treasure quickly said, "It's freezing out! Hurry home and go back to sleep!"

Fourth Treasure also chimed in, "I don't get you guys. Why leave your warm beds to come here so early in the morning?"

The fans laughed. "Because we like you!"

Second Treasure and Third Treasure laughed along with them.

Second Treasure smiled faintly. "Well, thank you all! Study hard and aim high!"

Third Treasure waved. "Go on, go on! Go back to sleep!"

The fans gave them some handmade cards and then ran off happily. They were all around the same age as the quadruplets—adorable and very likable.
