My Cheat Skill Is Unlimited

Chapter 39: Unlimited

'He's bleeding.' Atlas thought, smiling at the sight of Lucian's bloody arm, it didn't matter if Lucian had somehow been able to increase his ability because in the end, he was going to win. S-rank beasts had more mana than humans. The humans' plan to tire them out and make them run out of mana was ridiculous in the first place, but still, Soren's ability was a difficult thing to face again, so it's necessary for precautions to be taken against him.

Atlas let out more poisonous breath, and Lucian released his beast's poisonous ability through his hand, not to attack Atlas, but rather to protect himself against Atlas's abilities. Lucian's poison didn't have a fatal effect on either of the brothers; he suspected that it was because of the relative nature of the poison.

"Argh!" Marta cried out in pain; part of her forearm had been bitten by Joel.

"I don't know why, but human women always taste less disgusting than men." Joel had fought and killed a lot of players that had wandered into his dungeon back when he was a mindless beast. Together with his brothers, they were invincible, and every player that came across them was met with only one fate: death. He intends to make the same fate for Lucian and his teammates.

Luna rushes over to heal Marta; Joel smirks—he finally got the two nuisances out of his way, leaving Soren alone. Getting rid of the girls would come only after Soren is dead.

Lucian cursed and thought of what to do. Their fight against the Achiloq brothers would become worse if Soren died. Lucian purposely takes a kick from Atlas; his body hits hard against the ground, and he weakly struggles to pick himself up.

'There is only one option now,' Lucian thought. If he manages to defeat Atlas, then Joel would be aware that he knew their weak spot, Joel would protect himself, making it impossible for Lucian and any of his team to attack him, and in a more unlucky situation, Joel might give up on his idea of capturing Lucian alive and decide to kill him for revenge without recovering the ability he stole.

"Please don't kill me!" Lucian cried out to Atlas in pretense. He made his voice loud enough to grab Joel's attention.

'My only option is to be my parents' son.' Lucian smirked to himself and then raised his face up when he had forced tears out of his eyes.

Atlas chuckled, "Humans, you only see the pathetic side of them when they are able to die."

By being his parents' son, Lucian intended to lie and tricked his way out. His parents weren't rich tycoons because of their honesty. They simply know how to control and manipulate the mind of their opponents.

"Guys, please stop fighting!" Lucian cried out, confusing his teammates; the only one who watches him carefully, waiting for Lucian to give the signal for the secret plan they made together before heading out for battle, was Soren. "Please, don't kill my teammate. I'm completely out of mana. I'm sure that they are almost out of mana, and they are wounded." Lucian said.

Convincing the beast this time not to hurt his team won't be as easy as it was the last time. "If you promise me not to touch them, then I'm going to transfer the powers I stole, along with the beast powers you want, to you. What's the guarantee that the ability you want would equally go to both of you brothers if you eat me?"

Joel stops himself from using his feet to smash Soren to death. "You are out of mana; how are you going to transfer any powers to us? Besides, do you really think that we are like those stupid human players who you deceive? You expect me to believe that you have the ability to transfer your ability to us?" He glared at Lucian; Joel felt like his patience was being tested.

"I have a cheat skill. You have never faced any human with my skills before, have you?" Lucian asks, hoping that the beast would say yes. His plans depended on what the 12 mystical beings had said about him, the first human to gain Zyros's ability. If the beast had no typical knowledge of his ability, then everything he said was believable, as long as he played his card right. "I know that the last deal between us didn't work, but this one for sure is going to work. All I want is for you to just let my teammates go, and when I have recovered my mana, I will transfer my powers to you."

"Or…" Joel suggested darkly, "we smash the heads of your teammates one by one until you transfer your powers to us."

"Kill them, and I will kill myself." Lucian glared at Joel.

Luna controlled herself from laughing at the expression on Lucian's face; she knew that Lucian would never kill himself for anyone. He was too selfish for such righteous actions.

"This deal isn't going to cost you anything." Lucian encouraged. Joel came closer to him. "You two have defeated us anyway; we are too weak. You two are stronger. Just think of it; I have no reason to lie. You can easily trace us down and kill us if you want, and we don't stand a chance of fighting against you; rather than dying, it's best to just use my powers to live."

Atlas snickered and muttered, "He thinks that we will keep him alive after getting what we want."

"You will." Lucian stated in confidence, "I have a skill that is able to copy any ability I want. My cheat skill is unlimited." He smirks, "I'm sure that you don't want to lose your access to a quick power supply, even if that supply is a weak human." He covered up the fact that he could steal the ability of those he kills. When he had confessed to the beast and to his two new teammates. He never once told them exactly how it works.

Atlas frowned but relaxed, letting his guards down like Lucian wanted; the only one left was Joel, who was still examining Lucian.

"Okay." Joel lied, "We won't kill your friends, but they aren't allowed to leave until you regain your mana and transfer your powers to us. After that, they can leave, but you are coming with us." He planned to deceive Lucian by pretending as though Lucian's team was free; later he would hunt and kill them.

"We are letting them go?" Atlas asked his brother in surprise.

"No harm done, as long as it helps us get what we want." Joel leans to his brother's ear and whispers his true intentions.

Lucian nodded. Got to his feet and pretended as though he couldn't use his bloody arm, leaving his sword on the ground. He examined both brothers and saw that Joel had become more relaxed than before. His guard was down; with fake sadness over his eyes, Lucian looked at his teammates, who had not bothered to move since the agreement was made. He winks his eyes and sneezes loudly, giving Soren the signal that he had been waiting for.

With full speed, Lucian and Soren pick up their blades and fake an attack of cutting the beast back, and then suddenly both simultaneously spin in the air with the same practiced action that had enough force to dislocate their arms for this one attack. At the same time they cut down the Achiloq brothers at their weak spot, their neck. Both brothers had wrongly hardened the skin on their backs, forgetting about their weak spot. Although the skin on their neck looks as hard as their other skin, it is the most fragile and fatal part of their body that can't always be hardened but can only be hardened once in a while per day.

The Achiloq brothers drop down as they bleed out. Lucian and Soren both shifted their sword to another arm because their first arm had been dislocated; it was painful, but killing the beast came before thoughts of medical treatment.

"Finally. They are dead." Soren sighed in relief.

Marta and Luna gave each other a cheerful smile that only lasted for almost a minute, because Marta suddenly realized who she was smiling at.

[S-rank beast magic detected] Lucian system glitch.

[Upgrading beast magic…]

[Upgrade complete]

[Player: Lucian??? Identity: human… beast???]

Lucian's broken system turned on and off and then on again. This time it looks completely different, as it continues to glitch.

[Upgrade: regenerative ability and fluid strength]

The regenerative ability allowed Lucian to heal himself. He tried it immediately, and to his surprise, his broken arms were completely healed. The fluid strength allowed him to increase the mass of his muscle for greater strength. The beast he took down was Joel, while Soren had slain Atlas.

[Aptitude: Dark magic]

'Does it mean that I can use dark magic?' Lucian thought. He had no idea how to use dark magic.

"How did you just heal your arm?" Marta asks. She had been watching Lucian.

Luna, who had cut both of the beast's tongues to upgrade her hidden skill, turned to Lucian, along with Soren.

"I think…" Lucian had his suspicion about his skills, and seeing how he was able to steal Joel's magic after killing him, even though Zyros had told him that 3 skills was his limit. Now Lucian was sure about himself. "I think my cheat skill is unlimited."
