Chapter 14: Chapter 14 This Is The Work To Do. Let's Get Down To Business
"No, I'm not playing with you. I'm telling the truth. You asked me to leave the company in the first place. There is a saying that there is no such thing as after those affairs. Ugh!" Veronica Parker was explaining anxiously when her nervous mouth was kissed, her tender lips were touched, and her body twitched subconsciously and froze there.
Her teary eyes were filled with amazement, and her heartbeat and breathing seemed to cease at that moment.
Time stopped and everything became a static background board.
It took a moment for Veronica to struggle, trying to push the person away, but his body was so heavy, and the strength of his hands was even more firm and strong. Not only could she not push Nick Cage away, but his forced kisses became more and more desirable.
"No, no!" Veronica eagerly tugged at his suit coat. Unable to pull it, her small hand hurriedly patted Nick on the arm. His firmness was so strong, and her struggle was in vain.
Nick was supposed to punish her, but the more he kissed her, the more addictive he became. Three years ago, he was impulsive because he was drunk, but now it was the temptation of sweet taste that made the blood in his body restless again as if a wild animal smelled the blood of its prey.
He put his hand on her slender waist and slid across the belt of her jeans.
The waist of the jeans was in a shrinking style, fastened with a belt, and to pull was more convenient than to unbutton.
Veronica was so frightened that he would discover the scar on her stomach when he kisses her breathlessly. It was not long after three years after her scar had healed, but it was still obvious.
'If Nick sees it, won't it be suspicious? Then he would know I am having a baby. Appendicitis' scar is not in the middle!'
Unable to think of any good idea, Veronica anxiously burst into tears, which was her fear of losing her child.
Nick tasted the salty and wet taste in the kiss, was stupefied for a moment, and separated from Veronica's small mouth. His discerning black eyes looked at her, her thin lips stiff and cold.
Veronica immediately took the opportunity to escape from under him to go far away. She huddled near the car door, pulled the belt of her trousers, and acted extremely defensive.
Nick sat down in the seat, suppressed the restlessness of his body, and calmed down. He was so out of control in the car, that he did not even care about the isolation board barrier, and the energy of his whole body suddenly became terrible.
At the front, Kay Tours wiped the sweat on his forehead, as this was the first time he encountered Mr. Cage being this way in the car, so he said, "Can you calm down?"
The isolation board suddenly rose, isolating the line of sight and sound over there.
Kay asked and said, "There is work to do. Let's get down to business!"
Nick looked over coldly. "Why are you crying? Isn't there anything else on you that I haven't touched?"
"I was so drunk at that time that I didn't have a clear head!" Veronica retorted as she wiped away her tears.
"I don't know, but aren't you still so enthusiastic? Huh?"
Veronica Parker's expression was quiet and stiff, her mouth was red and swollen, and her eyes were dodging.
'I can't believe this guy remembers! It's because you're drunk that that happens.'
"Address." Nick's deep black eyes looked out of the window.
Veronica was stupefied for a moment. 'Address? Mine? Is this guy going to send me back?'
'He can't do that. If he sends me back, will he not discover my address and easily find out about the child?'
"Can you take me back to my original place? I'll go back by myself." Veronica said.
Nick withdrew his sight from the night and shot at her, "Are you sure you don't want to talk?"
Veronica sensed his inner trouble. The smell of this threat was too dangerous, so she could only bravely say the name of the neighborhood.
After that, Veronica Parker huddled at the door of the car. From time to time, with defensive eyes, she looked on to see Nick Cage's handsome but indifferent face with gloom. His black eyes looked out of the window like the sharpness of a falcon, and the energy emitted all over his body made the car more and more oppressed.
Veronica was uneasy, 'Why does this person seem to be in a bad mood? Did I piss him off? Really? It seems that I am the one being bullied!'
The car stopped outside the neighborhood, and the door was opened by the bodyguard outside. Veronica looked at Nick, while he turned a blind eye with his face cold.
"Thank you for taking me back." With that, Veronica got out of the car carefully, stood by the side of the road, bent over with her head down, and waited for the car to slide in front of her before she straightened up. Thinking about the behavior of Nick just now, she muttered, "This person is too uncertain, isn't he?"
The car disappeared into the night. Veronica took back her eyes and looked left and right. 'It's time to go. Now, where is this?'
Of course, she couldn't have told Nick Cage where she actually lived.
Here was the name of a certain road and a neighborhood that she noticed when she was passing by at work. She wrote it down, but she didn't expect to get here just to avoid trouble.
Veronica remembered the road, and there was still some distance from her neighborhood, so she ran back assertively, just as one would do when running at night.
Tiptoeing into the house, Isabella and the children were asleep.
Veronica went back to her room and saw the little ones sleeping all over the bed. She leaned over and pulled herself enough before she went to the bathroom to take a bath.
After taking a bath, Veronica stood in front of the mirror, pulled down her pants, and saw the horizontal scar.
She thought it was so dangerous today that she was almost found out by Nick.
It was said that appendicitis was not in the right position and that it was not so evenly stabbed.
'How could a shrewd man like Nick not know what caused this?'
'I got away with it today. What about next time?'
Although she thought it would be unlikely to meet next time, the 1/10000 chance was still scary enough.
For example, tonight was just garbage picking up and this could still be encountered, so it could be seen that the probability of a chance encounter between her and Nick was definitely not 1/10000.
Veronica finally came up with a way to cover the scar - tattooing it.
Veronica found a tattoo shop. The door was antique. The tattoo shop looked like an antique shop.
After going in, she saw a half-lying man who was naked with tattoos on his back. There was nothing else to see.
The woman stopped her work and looked at her. "Tattoos?"
"Oh yes, I want to get a tattoo."
"Do you have a pattern that you especially want to get tattooed? If not, choose by yourself in the picture book." The woman pointed to the picture book on the coffee table.
Veronica turned around and was about to get the album when she saw that the curtain had been lifted. Veronica's footsteps froze.
Toby Cage lifted the curtain with one hand, frowned slightly, and looked at her. He came out from behind the curtain for a moment, with a touch of evil, and asked, "You don't want to tattoo my name, do you?"
Veronica was left speechless, 'Where does this man get the confidence?'
"Is this your shop?" Veronica Parker asked.
The working woman stopped. "This is my shop. Do you know each other?"
Veronica did not speak, then carefully looked at the woman – beautiful, head tied with colorful headscarves, and wearing a fashionable dress. It couldn't be another girlfriend of Toby!
"Ex-girlfriend," Toby said.
"Oh." The woman said with a meaningful tone.
Veronica was now very disgusted with the title of "ex-girlfriend", as it sounded like a thorn in her body which she was uncomfortable about.
