Chu Yan didn't even know how she escaped from Yun Hao's clutches. She only remembered that after running back to her room, she felt utterly exhausted, as if those twenty or so steps had drained all her energy!

While she silently cursed Yun Hao for being shameless, for some reason, there was still a slight feeling of nostalgia and excitement in Chu Yan's heart, and she was even quite happy!

Thinking of this, Chu Yan hurriedly shook her head vigorously, then changed her clothes and composed herself. By the time she came out of her room, she had once again become the ice queen who kept everyone at a distance!

"Honey, I've decided I'm going to report you to the police!"

"Report me? Why? For abusing you?"

"No, I'm going to report you for being too beautiful. Why does your appearance capture all my attention? I'll also report you for not loving me while I'm so in love with you!"

Hearing Yun Hao's words, which sounded like something out of a romance novel, Chu Yan knew full well that they weren't sincere, but her heart still felt an inexplicable thrill. After all, what woman doesn't like to be complimented?

"Hmph, hurry up and eat, you have to go to a party with me later!" Chu Yan flirtatiously rolled her eyes at Yun Hao, then sat down at the table to eat with Yun Hao and Aunt Wu.

Yes, to Chu Yan, Aunt Wu was only a nanny, but Chu Yan never treated her like a servant.

Shocked by Chu Yan's eye roll, Yun Hao felt a bit light-headed during the whole meal. It could be said that he was very happy today, as his relationship with his wife had improved a bit unintentionally. From the recent encounter, Yun Hao was very sure that everything Chu Yan said was true!

"Honey, what kind of party are we going to?"

"It's a high-society party hosted by the owner of the Sea Sky Hotel. Many business elites will attend, and I want to seize this opportunity to see if I can find a good seller for my company's products." Chu Yan simply explained to Yun Hao, no longer as indifferent as before.

"Oh!"

Yun Hao had always despised these so-called elite parties. When he was abroad, many people invited him to similar events, but he never went. To him, it was just a bunch of hypocritical people using a party to flatter each other!

But since Chu Yan wanted him to go with her this time, he didn't mind going along, as he had nothing better to do anyway!

At eight in the evening, Yun Hao followed Chu Yan to the most famous Sea Sky Hotel in Nanjiang City. After Chu Yan showed an invitation card, a waiter led them to the top floor by elevator!

When the elevator doors opened, to be honest, Yun Hao was a bit surprised. He didn't expect such a high-standard hotel in Nanjiang City. The top floor was a world apart from the lower levels, with lavish decorations and furnishings, all crafted with expensive materials!

"If I don't have time to keep an eye on you later, just find a place to sit and wait for me. Don't offend anyone, as many people here are beyond my ability to handle!" After entering the room, Chu Yan whispered to Yun Hao, not because she didn't trust him, but because she was worried he might provoke someone powerful, and even she couldn't save him then!

"Don't worry, honey, I'll just find something to eat. I see there's plenty over there!" Yun Hao didn't understand Chu Yan's worries, but he certainly wouldn't cause trouble for no reason, especially since no one knew him here!

Chu Yan was a bit speechless; hadn't he just eaten a big meal before leaving home? How could he still eat now? But even though she was speechless, as long as Yun Hao didn't cause trouble, it was fine!

Yun Hao wandered off, picked up a plate, fork, and spoon, and started eating heartily. Thus began a scene within the room: a young man in a suit circling the food, constantly dipping in!

"Wow!"

Yun Hao was happily eating when suddenly the room erupted into an exclamation. He looked up in confusion to find that everyone's eyes were on the room's entrance, and he, too, couldn't help but look. It turned out the woman capturing everyone's attention was Romance!

The woman wasn't someone else; she was Romance. Yun Hao hadn't expected to meet her here, and judging by the crowd, she seemed to be the host of tonight's event!

"Is she pretty?"

"Pretty!"

Caught off guard by the sudden question beside him, Yun Hao instinctively answered, then realized something was wrong, as he recognized Chu Yan's voice, prompting a quick-witted addition, "But, no matter how pretty she is, she can't be prettier than my wife!"

"Oh, it's you, honey. How did you get here?" Then, Yun Hao pretended to suddenly realize Chu Yan was there, exaggeratingly addressing her. Yun Hao's shamelessness truly seemed to have reached an artful level!

Initially, when she heard Yun Hao say "pretty," Chu Yan felt a bit displeased, but after his follow-up words, she couldn't help but let a smile appear at the corner of her mouth.

"What's wrong, honey? Couldn't find a suitable sales channel?" Seeing the furrow in Chu Yan's brows, Yun Hao appeared very concerned.

"Not really, I can find sales channels, but either they don't want to cooperate, want to push the purchase price really low, or want to have some sort of relationship with me!"

When Chu Yan said this, there was no obvious change in her tone or expression, indicating that these situations were quite common for her. After all, with her beauty and lack of a powerful background, many men probably wanted to exploit her!

However, just because Chu Yan was used to it didn't mean Yun Hao could take it lightly. Damn, someone dared to try and exploit his wife; it was like looking for trouble in a bathroom with the lights on (an idiom implying seeking trouble)!

"It's okay, honey. If they can't see the potential, we won't work with them. I believe my wife's company's products will surely sell well!" Yun Hao didn't say much, simply offering words of encouragement to Chu Yan!
