My boyfriend is a bully?

Chapter 7: Breaking Through the Mist to See the True Heart

Lin Yue strode into the office, her gaze sharp as a sword, as though she held a deadly secret in her hand, ready to destroy Bi Yan's world in one fell swoop.

"Bi Yan, do you think just because you've climbed to a higher branch, you can transform into a phoenix? Let me tell you, I know all about your little dirty secrets!" Lin Yue's voice rang out clearly, as if declaring the arrival of a storm. The entire office held its breath, and the air seemed to freeze. The tension was so thick that everyone's hearts began to race uncontrollably.

Liang Yu, seated beside Bi Yan, slightly furrowed his brow, and a faint, almost imperceptible coldness flashed in his eyes. He quietly tightened his grip on Bi Yan's hand, offering her a silent show of support.

Bi Yan, facing Lin Yue's provocation, remained calm, her eyes as clear as water, showing no signs of avoidance. Her lips even curled into a slight, almost imperceptible smile, as though dismissing Lin Yue's words entirely.

"Oh? What secrets? Do share." Bi Yan's tone was serene and composed, as though Lin Yue's so-called "secrets" were of no consequence.

Lin Yue's eyes lit up with a triumphant gleam, as though she had finally found Bi Yan's Achilles' heel. "I remember, back in elementary school, someone used a cheat to steal crops in 'Happy Farm'! Tsk, tsk, really skilled from such a young age!" Her tone was filled with mockery and sarcasm, as if this was a blemish that Bi Yan could never erase.

However, to everyone's surprise, Bi Yan didn't shrink in embarrassment as Lin Yue had hoped. Instead, she chuckled softly.

"Yes, I used cheats." Bi Yan admitted without hesitation, her tone so calm it left Lin Yue speechless.

"I was in elementary school, I didn't know better, and I made a mistake. But I realized my wrongs, and I never did that again. So, Lin Yue, after all your digging, is this the best 'dark history' you could find?" Bi Yan's tone was light and nonchalant, as if her "dark history" were not worth even the slightest mention.

Lin Yue's face froze, her confidence cracking. This wasn't how she had imagined it. She had thought that this secret would ruin Bi Yan, but instead, Bi Yan had so casually acknowledged it, leaving Lin Yue feeling uncertain and flustered.

"Don't think you can get away with this! Who knows what other means you're using now…" Lin Yue, flustered, continued her attack.

"Lin Yue, that's enough!" Liang Yu's voice rang out, deep and commanding, immediately silencing Lin Yue's words.

At that moment, Su Yao entered, holding a document in her hands and walking straight to Bi Yan's side. "Yan Yan, here's the document you requested."

Bi Yan took the document and elegantly flipped it open. Inside were records of Lin Yue's misconduct at work. She glanced over the contents, then looked up at Lin Yue with eyes as cold as ice, her voice sharp as a blade. "Lin Yue, before you talk about my 'dark history,' you might want to consider how you're going to explain these."

Lin Yue's face went white as a sheet, her lips trembling, but she could not utter a single word. She had not expected Bi Yan to have concrete evidence of her wrongdoing.

The surrounding colleagues began to whisper among themselves, their gazes now filled with contempt and disdain as they looked at Lin Yue. She had once been a powerful figure in the office, but now she had become the subject of everyone's ridicule.

"Lawyer Wang, could you take care of this for us?" Bi Yan turned and addressed the lawyer who had quietly appeared at the door. Her tone was calm yet carried an undeniable authority.

Lawyer Wang, a middle-aged man dressed in a sharp suit, adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and took the document with a professional air. "Miss Lin, based on your violations and the defamation and malicious attacks against Miss Bi, we have sufficient evidence to file a lawsuit."

Lin Yue's arrogance evaporated instantly. She crumpled like a deflated balloon, her face pale as paper, her lips trembling as she incoherently pleaded, "Bi Yan, I'm sorry, please forgive me! I'll never do it again, please…"

Bi Yan looked at her, her heart devoid of mercy, only filled with deep revulsion. She took a deep breath, her voice chilling as she spoke. "Lin Yue, do you think that just because you say 'sorry,' everything will be forgiven? The harm you've caused me cannot be undone by a mere apology."

Lawyer Wang immediately initiated legal proceedings, and a lawsuit was filed against Lin Yue.

With the evidence solid and irrefutable, the court quickly rendered its verdict. Lin Yue was ordered to pay compensation for defaming Bi Yan and to issue a public apology.

The news spread like wildfire through the company, causing an uproar. Colleagues murmured about Lin Yue's wrongdoings, their eyes filled with disdain and contempt. Lin Yue, once a person who could do no wrong in the office, was now publicly shamed, her reputation in ruins.

Lin Yue, unable to escape her disgrace, left the company in utter humiliation, her back hunched and retreating as the office buzzed with gossip.

Bi Yan stood quietly, watching Lin Yue's retreating figure. A sense of relief and satisfaction filled her heart. She had finally shaken off the clutches of this malicious woman, and justice had been served. The sense of triumph was overwhelming.

The office erupted in applause. Colleagues swarmed around Bi Yan to congratulate her, praising her bravery and wisdom.

Su Yao was so excited that she hugged Bi Yan. "Yan Yan, you're amazing! You're my idol!"

As everything settled down, Liang Yu walked over to Bi Yan. His gaze was deep, full of affection and regret.

He gently pulled Bi Yan into his embrace and whispered, "Yan Yan, I'm sorry. I misunderstood you before, and I let you suffer. I'll never let you go through anything like that again."

Bi Yan felt the warmth of Liang Yu's embrace and the sincerity in his apology. A surge of unspoken emotion and happiness washed over her. She nodded gently, resting her head against his chest, enveloped in a sense of safety and warmth.

Colleagues around them clapped, sending their best wishes. The atmosphere in the office was filled with warmth and positivity.

Just then, Bi Yan's phone buzzed. She picked it up and saw an email from an unfamiliar address. The subject line was simply a question mark, "?"

Bi Yan furrowed her brows in confusion, a sense of unease rising in her chest. She opened the email.
