Chapter 1105: The Flying Beast Alliance's Expedition

After determining the destination of the newly risen Black Nest Lord, Zhao Guang and Xi Fei set out together.

Xi Fei took on the mission to settle the Black Nest Lord, while also planning some fortresses and garrison locations there.

Moreover, regarding the coastal regions, other lords might not care, but Zhao Guang certainly did not ignore them. He planned to center around the Lizardman, bringing the coastal areas under his control.

One cannot always let battles occur on one's own territory; one must take the flames of war to the enemy's land.

Furthermore, Zhao Guang was very interested in the various resources produced in coastal areas.

Even freshwater aquaculture no longer satisfied Zhao Guang's appetite; marine aquaculture promised even greater yields for him.

As for Zhao Guang himself, he secretly headed for the Borick Continent, this time for Jeana. Fortunately, with the Storm Dragon's position known from before, Zhao Guang did not need to spend too much time searching and quickly located it.

This time, he did not take Sephidya with him but left her on his territory.

There was no way around it — his territory currently had only Sephidya as a legend, and he couldn't take them all away. Otherwise, encountering danger would be troublesome. Although there was still legendary combat power, could it compare to a Legendary Giant Dragon?

Many specific tasks also needed someone with sufficient deterrent power to oversee them, or it would be very troublesome.

Although Sephidya was somewhat dissatisfied, she obediently stayed in the territory.

What Zhao Guang did not know was that a force had secretly headed towards his territory before he left.

The Flying Beast Alliance, which had long been confronting the Beastman Empire, had recently been suppressed in reverse.

The high-level members of the Flying Beast Alliance were extremely furious. After a series of thorough investigations, they finally discovered the reason the Beastmen were like this was because they had many new weapons and various supplies.

And the source of these weapons and supplies was a fledgling nation, the Xuanwu Kingdom, to the east of the Beastman Empire.

How could such a fledgling kingdom dare to unite with the Beastmen to bring so much trouble to us?

The high-and-mighty Flying Beast Alliance could not allow such a thing to happen, so they decided to teach the Xuanwu Kingdom a lesson. As for some rumors about the Xuanwu Kingdom, they rarely circulated due to the Beastman's blockade.

Even if some rumors did circulate, they did not believe them at all, because they were too outrageous.

Such outrageous rumors can be heard every year, especially those regarding the Beastmen.

Many Beastmen liked to release rumors to scare them, but it was proven that most were fake. Therefore, they did not take the rumors seriously this time. However, wanting to bypass the Beastman Kingdom directly was not easy.

So the Flying Beast Alliance prepared to circle around, heading north past the Beastman Kingdom, and then avoiding the Elf Forest.

If it weren't for the fact that almost every member of the Flying Beast Alliance could fly, such a far-reaching expedition would have been impossible.

But, as it happened, they could do it, and neither the Beastmen nor the Elves expected it. Thus, the Elves did not send out a warning, and this group snuck around from the cold northern regions, approaching the former Great Swamp area.

"If I remember correctly, this should be a vast swamp."

Looking at the map, a Harpy said with a puzzled expression, that it was clearly a vast plain now.

"Hmph, it must be something the Beastmen deliberately spread. No wonder the Beastmen's supplies are so ample; with such fertile plains, the grain yield is imaginable. Unfortunately, it's too far for us to obtain, so we must destroy it."

A Flying Snake with a long neck and a blue face said.

"That's right, what we need to do now is complete our mission. We originally thought that food might be lacking, but now we can really replenish here."

After traveling so far, flying all the way, they certainly couldn't bring enough food.

But flying consumes a lot of energy in the air, now everyone was no longer worried.

They brought a total of thirty thousand Flying Army members this time.

Speaking of which, although the Flying Beast Alliance consists of flying races, the main components are only six clans.

These are the Harpy, Grey Wing Clan, White Wings, Beetleman, Flying Snake Clan, and Butterfly Clan.

The Harpies look more like birds, with a human head. They have no arms but rather large talons. Their overall combat power is not very strong, and they cannot use various weapons, after all, they have no hands.

However, their reproductive ability is very strong, making them the most numerous of the six clans, and also the strongest overall.

Due to their enormous numbers, the top experts from their clan are relatively more numerous as well.

Then there are the Grey Wing Clan and White Wings, originally one clan, but later split for some reason. Grey Wing Clan and White Wings look much like humans, except for a pair of wings on their backs.

The Grey Wing Clan's wings are gray, and they are more skilled in close combat, mostly using weapons like spears.

White Wings have white wings and are better at using long-range weapons like bows and arrows, as well as some auxiliary spells.

The two clans have heavy conflicts, even within the Flying Beast Alliance, they often fight and can't stand the sight of each other.

Beetlemen are a very rare insect race within the Beastman Empire, originally living there. Because they look like a big beetle, they were not accepted by the Beastmen and were bullied.

Later, they were recruited by the Flying Beast Alliance and joined them.

The Beastmen regretted it afterward because they found out that their most powerful aerial clan was given to the other side just like that.

Since then, the Beastmen have been held down by the Flying Beast Alliance for a long time, feeling extremely depressed.

The Flying Snake Clan was originally part of the Beastmen as well, but their relationship with the Serpent clan was very poor, so they left a long time ago. The Flying Snake Clan can fly, but they're not very agile and are skilled at using various poisons.

Within the Flying Beast Alliance, the Flying Snake Clan is the most dangerous and has the most destructive power on the battlefield.

Finally, there is the Butterfly Clan, the smallest in number of the six clans.

They are similar to the Foxman, one of the few within the Flying Beast Alliance who are skilled in spells.

Their clan produces priests and mages, surpassing even the Foxman in this aspect. If it weren't for their very weak reproductive ability, they might directly suppress the Foxman.

Whenever the Butterfly People appear, it marks the toughest time for the Flying Beast Alliance to deal with.

Now, during this expedition, though few Butterfly People came, each one is elite.

After all, it's a far-reaching expedition; no matter how unadapted to long-distance travel the Butterfly People are, they must make an effort. At this moment within the ranks, the Butterfly People remained silent, as usual. They were aloof, yet also out of place.
