Chapter 4: Chapter 3: North God Style
It's been five years since I was transported to this world.
Every day since my transmigration, I would come up to this place and keep using the same water spell over and over again, I would only stop after I felt like passing out from mana drain.
Even now I am doing it.
The reason why I have been doing that is simple.
I am someone who knows of a future transmigrator like myself, although I don't remember everything he invented, I still know some of them.
For me, the most important one is that Rudeus, the said transmigrator, found a way to enlarge your mana capacity, a method that he has used himself and worked on with other people.
If you use your magic before the age of 10 until it's empty, your mana pool starts getting wider and can hold more mana.
Of course I wasn't sure since I don't remember quite well, but I do know that it worked on a girl Dwarf, so why not on me?
Since I had nothing to lose I tried it, and it worked out perfectly.
My mana capacity could be said to be one of the best in the world right now.
I don't think it's better than Rudy in his prime though, but I think it's getting there.
I believe that if I keep doing this till the age of 10, I will for sure surpass him.
Maybe I will even do it for longer, I am half a demon and half a sky folk after all, since I have a much much higher lifespan than the humans, so me being 50 could be the equivalent of a human being 10.
Of course, that's just a theory, it doesn't hurt to try though.
Something that does bother me though is the fact that I can't use battle aura.
Five years, and I still can't use battle Aura.
So what if I am five years old? I tried my absolute best these past few years. That fucker Perugius just named me and disappeared, leaving me with that monster.
Speaking of him.
"Saladin! Get your ass over here!"
"Yes sir! Just another minute please!" I screamed as respectfully as I could, I didn't want to get sliced in half after all.
The guy screaming was Tars, the person that Perugius left me with after he baptized me.
He's a bastard who trains me every day till I can't move, he's also quite racist towards me for being half demon.
Of course I can't say anything, he's a North Emperor after all.
There are seven ranks in the North God style, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, the advanced level is when you can self consciously use battle aura, I am at an Intermediate level.
Beyond that, there is the North Saint, North King, North Emperor and finally the North God.
Tars is a North Emperor, he isn't the only one, since there are two others from what he told me, but he is the strongest out of all of them.
The only person who could surpass him in the North God style is the North God himself: Kalman.
Not the Kalman that I know in the story, that's Kalman the third, this guy is the first Kalman.
Oh, and he's from another world just like me.
His original name is Carl, but he's now called Kalman.
People who read the novel already had suspicions about that. I didn't pay much attention at that time but the evidence was strong.
Kalman isn't from my world, he's from a world where magic and technology don't exist, there is only swordsmanship in that world. That's the extent of what I know, if it was for me also being from another world I wouldn't have been told that much.
Suddenly, my thoughts were cut off by a spear swing that almost killed me, if not for my wings I would have died.
"What the hell man!" I screamed, even with five years of experiencing this, it's still scary. "My mana pool is still nowhere close to being emptied, come on!"
"Is that how you talk to your master?!" He screamed, throwing a spear at me then immediately aimed at my head with another one.
I caught the spear, and then countered with it, the force behind the strike was so powerful it sent me down to the lake.
Oh yeah, all of those years emptying my mana here using the water ball spell caused a lake to appear. Luckily no one was against that since that land wasn't used for anything before.
It had the opposite reaction actually, people were happy to have a stable water source.
We live in the Divine continent after all, and it's quite difficult to live out here, not to the level of the Demon Continent but it's up there.
Boom Boom
Every strike hurt me deeply even though I countered all of them.
I have to do something, or I will end up beaten to a pulp like usual.
How about.
I flew to the sky as fast as I could, here I had the view advantage.
I will use my newest attack, this will hold off Tars for a while. This will show him how amazing I…
I then felt something on top of me, stopping me from going any further. It feels like a hard wall.
"How many times did I tell you to stop going up whenever we fight?"
Mother, I am joining you soon it seems.

Tars POV
"How many times did I tell you to stop going up whenever we fight?"
Saladin still has this bad habit of flying upwards whenever we spar, he does that whenever he feels in danger.
I tried to remove this habit from him with words, but a demon is still a demon.
I lifted my spear, ready to send him to the lake he was so hell bent on making.
"Master.. please.. I am just five years old." he pleaded with me and hearing that, I almost laughed.
"You? Five?" He always says that, but I know better.
"You fucking transmigrators are so out of touch with reality." With the back of my spear, I hit him straight in the head, sending him plunging into the water.
The still water became chaotic, with the wild plants surrounding the lake's edges drowning.
Ah, I think I overdid it.
Is he hurt? Nah, he's probably right, Lady Vida's probably taught him a healing spell or two, right?
Oh right, I forbade him from learning any spell, I didn't want another Laplace.
The only spell he knows is that water ball, he can't even attack with it, but he did learn to use it without any incantations.
He's talented in magic, but I can't teach him any, I am no mage. If only he could use battle aura, well, he will learn how to even if it takes us hundreds of years of training.
"YOU BASTARD!!!" I heard a scream from the water, I didn't believe it.
Did he just call me a bastard? Are my ears deceiving me?
Saladin emerged from the water, his hands stretched wildly as if he were trying to lift the sky.
Is he doing what I am thinking?
The water became even more chaotic as if multiple whirlpools were being formed below them.
'Did he create a new spell?'
Water currents started flowing from the lake, then the whole lake began to rise. Without warning, the water swallowed me completely, forming a massive water ball.
I get it now, he didn't learn any new spells, he just used the old one with more efficiency, turning it into a prison.
This is smart since we sky folk are naturally weak against water attacks.
I could get out right now, but I want to see what he's planning.
The massive water ball only kept getting bigger and bigger, this could be said to be a king level magic spell, impressive.
Still, he's not doing anything special.
Until.
The water around me started tightening, as the water ball started shrinking. I could feel the pressure that started to become more annoying by the second.
If this keeps going on, I will probably be locked up for real.
I can't let that happen, I have dignity as a master after all.
With a swing strengthened by aura, I cut the ball in half, distrusting his spell and effectively stopping it. The water fell back into the ground, but Saladin was nowhere to be seen.
Then I felt it, a person with a spear descending from the sky.
I turned my back and slashed who I thought was Saladin.
I was wrong, it was a water clone of Saladin.
The real Saladin appeared from the water and lunged at me, almost hitting me straight in the jaw.
I quickly countered though, hitting him in the torso with a kick that sent him back to the water, where he didn't get up.
"If we keep going like this, he will never awaken battle aura."
"No shit dumbass." From my side spoke someone who I knew very well. I turned my head, irritated at him for appearing out of nowhere, but more at myself for not being able to sense him.
"Kalman, what are you doing here?" I asked, but I already knew the answer.
"Listen here bro, the child isn't cut for this, he was born to be a Mage."
As if I will ever believe that. "It doesn't matter, he's my student so he will study what I teach him."
Kalman sighed at that moment as if he was talking to a child. Which irritated me even more.
"Look man, the kid was born with a Laplace factor, he's.."
"Nope, not happening."
I know that he has that but I just can't, not after her death.
"You still blame his magic for her death don't you." Said Kalman, I wanted to refute him, but I couldn't.
"It's not his fault and you know that, we already know that he's from another world, he was tricked by that 'Human God', so if anything blames him."
What he just said is also true.
At first, we were planning on detaining Saladin for life, but after I saw him, a little infant trying to justify himself, I called Kalman who used his Demon eye to see the truth.
He wasn't from this world, just like Kalman, he was also brought here forcefully. The reason he could perform a spell before birth is because some deity told him to do so.
"I know how hard it is for you, but he needs to use his advantage to the max, I was born with a Factor too you know?"
Again, I couldn't refute.
But even if I wanted him to learn magic, no one could teach him how to do so.
"Don't worry friend, I have a solution." As if he read my mind, Kalman spoke.
"I found someone who could teach little Saladin over there, he's an elf who specializes in wind magic, what do you say?"
"Kalman, with all due respect, fuck off."
"Ah, well I just tried to help, my bad." Kalman looked sad when he said that, immediately disappearing moments after.
I am sorry friend, but.. it's Lord Perugiu's orders.
It was already bad enough that I told you about the kid without asking Lord Perugius first, I can't disobey him again.

Mc's POV
Ahhh, that hurt.
The fight with my master was over, but I lost this time.
I even overused my magic, something that could harm me if I kept doing it multiple times.
Now, I am lying in bed, alone without company. I want some friends.
I lifted the cover to see my body's state. It was weird, despite being only five years old, I have the body of a fifteen year old, which Lady Vida explaintion was because I am a mutant.
Whatever that means.
Still, I am very proud of my muscles, should I name them as Rudy did? Or did he name his limbs? Ah, whatever that sounded like a dumb idea.
"Hey."
"Ah!" I screamed at the man that just appeared in front of me.
It was Kalman of course, who does that?
"Is everything alright?" He asked, looking genuinely concerned.
"Uhh, guess not?"
"Hahaha, figures." He laughed, but I could see that he was a little sad.
"So, kid, I was wondering if you like magic."
What a weird question, of course, I do!
I have to lie through, master would be angry if he heard me, I am in deep shit just for using magic against him after all.
But Kalman can see if I am lying, so I better be honest. "Yes, I do."
Hearing that Kalman nodded.
"I have a proposal for you, kid."
"Oh, what is it?"
"See, there is a demon king who holds a large library, he probably has a way to fix your inability to use Battle Aura, but he hates me, so I can't find that for you, sorry."
Is he talking about Beethove? That's the demon king that Hitogami instructed me to go find when I was twenty.
"I have good news though, he owes me a favor, so he can let you go there if you promise to not harm one of his books. The problem is, Tars won't let you go, however, even if I try to put some sense into him, he won't change his mind."
"…. And?"
"… well, I could make him agree if you do something."
He's about to ask me to do something extremely hard, isn't he? "You have to strike Tars at least once."
….
Someone, kill me already.
"I know that's hard to do, impossible even, this is why I decided to give you this."
He took out a piece of paper that was written in English.
They spoke English in his world too so we could be said to be the only two that know this language in this whole world.
I took the paper and looked at it, it was full of words.
To be exact, it had five incantations.
This.. is amazing.
"To someone else, this would be just normal spells, but for you who could develop a water ball spell to that extent, it's gold."
He's right, with this, I might have a chance!
It seems my luck is getting better.
