Chapter 1483: You Don't Even Need Me

In the ground command center, everyone heard that desperate cry. They all remained silent, not knowing what to say.

The opponent did not use lethal electromagnetic interference, which essentially means they had given them a hand, yet even after exerting all their strength, they couldn't defeat an enemy using only half their strength.

What kind of despair is this? Everyone present clearly understood... this almost meant that in future air battles, they had no hope of winning at all.

The opponent didn't even need to use electromagnetic interference, and they already lacked the courage to engage in combat. Everything was over; they had been utterly defeated.

"The enemy aircraft is at your three o'clock direction..." After a brief silence, the officer from the ground radar guidance command center spoke, reminding the two planes still getting battered in the sky.

"Our aircraft have turned around... Now the enemy aircraft should be directly behind them," reminded the leading Dorne Air Force colonel.

His reminder was truly desperate, because it felt like playing an online game with a ping of 3000.

The opponent had already struck ten times before you could even use your skills... and then after they killed you, about a few seconds later, you finally saw the enemy's departing back, and that's when you realized you were already dead.

Another round of despairing silence, then a voice came through the headset from the pilot of Plane 8: "This is 8! This is 8! Plane 5 has been shot down! Plane 5 has been shot down!"

"Here they come! Here they come!" The desperate shout came through the headset from the pilot of Plane 8, and everyone present felt as if they were watching a horror movie, hearing their friends being devoured by a demon through the door.

...

"The delay is about 1 second. Did you see those four disappearing blips? They were shot down by long-range air-to-air missiles carried by the Phantom Fighters," a Tang Country officer explained the distant battle situation to Sun Guang.

The Early Warning Aircraft could detect enemy aircraft signals hundreds of kilometers away, without interference, everything was incredibly clear. Even the missiles fired by allied Phantom Fighters showed faint signal feedback.

Almost without any delay, the transmitted signals were sent back to the aircraft carrier, directly displayed on the screen. Everyone could see the air combat situation.

"The opponent intended to pinch but they underestimated our speed," explained the commander of the naval aviation with professionalism regarding the Tang Army's breakthrough tactics: "Accelerate, shake off one side of the enemy, then launch missiles at an unbelievable distance to take out one side of the opponent first."

"That's incredible, your missiles can hit targets over 30 kilometers away," Sun Guang said in astonishment.

Although not that advanced technologically, the countermeasures in this era were fewer and more primitive, so the air-to-air missile hit rate of Tang Country was really high.

Dorne's Air Force didn't even have radar warning devices or infrared warning for incoming missiles, so naturally, it was unlikely they could evade in advance, affecting the missile hit rate.

It was almost like a civilian driving a car and suddenly a tire flew in from the side, hardly anyone could avoid such an attack.

"Now they've abandoned attacking the two low-altitude targets, climbing and turning to solve the opponent chasing them," the naval aviation commander saw the cursor representing their side begin to turn and continued to explain.

"Your cursors are different from the opponent's, how is this possible?" Sun Guang had seen Qin Country's radar and didn't recall such a feature.

"That's the identification friend or foe system, all our aircraft have similar systems to prevent misjudgment or friendly fire incidents..." The captain of the aircraft carrier proudly explained: "Even the anti-aircraft missiles will avoid friendly targets; it's truly marvelous."

"What if the enemy uses a similar device?" Sun Guang immediately thought of a possible way to compromise it.

"That's impossible, our identification friend or foe signals use frequency bands that other countries can't replicate. Even if they could replicate, do you even know which frequency band we're using? What if we change it?" The Tang Army commander was extremely confident in their nation's technology.

He hadn't even finished speaking because the sophistication of that device meant that even if it were given to other countries to duplicate, they might not be able to come up with a similar device in the short term.

In the world of Earth, no country's identification friend or foe system has ever been widely mimicked by a rival. Since the Lighthouse Country couldn't even replicate other nations' identification systems, let alone mimic their signals, it was even less likely for those technologically backward countries in this otherworld compared to Tang Country.

"It's terrifying that your equipment has already advanced to such a degree. No wonder we couldn't even see your shadow before being defeated," Sun Guang finally sighed with a wry smile, shaking his head.

Just by watching a Tang Country Navy air battle, he was already in despair: if, under these circumstances, Qin Country could still win, then the Tang People must be blockheads.

At that moment, the naval aviation commander, who had been closely watching the battle, saw the outcome on the battlefield: "The last enemy plane has been shot down, judging from the parameters it should be 8 Peidaos. The ones that escaped below were Model 262s..."

"All 8 Peidaos of the enemy were wiped out, and our two pilots fought well, they should be commended." He straightened up, smiling as he spoke: "Looks like... we've birthed a small ace today."

"You can tell the model just from the radar?" Sun Guang was once again shocked.

A few Tang Country officers laughed heartily, explaining to Sun Guang after a burst of laughter: "Of course, it's not that precise, but our intelligence department has already provided us with the enemy's fighter jet parameters and models, with a simple comparison, we can roughly guess what model of plane the opponent is using."

"For our Qin Country's aircrafts... never mind, you certainly know, what about their planes... okay, you surely must know as well," Sun Guang realized halfway through his question, sighed, and spoke with resignation.

Whether it's Qin Country's 183, Poplar Empire's 262, or Dorne's 86, Ice Cold Empire's 19... no matter the country, the most advanced fighter jets of the air forces really were all provided by the Great Tang Group.

To the Great Tang Group, the sky of this world held no secrets. The struggles of each country's air force seemed to have been a joke from the start.

"You don't even need me... just find any child over ten years old, and you could win any air battle," Sun Guang concluded self-deprecatingly.
