Chapter 10: 10th day sign in
Standing outside Stark Tower, Ethan took in the towering structure with a smirk. The sheer size of the building, with its sleek design and bright lights illuminating the night sky, was a testament to Tony Stark's wealth and influence. But before he could proceed with his plan to "borrow" a villa from the billionaire, he suddenly realized something—he hadn't signed in for the day.
"Oh damn, almost forgot," he muttered to himself. He quickly accessed the system and selected the daily sign-in option.
[Sign-In Successful!] [Congratulations! You have obtained: Personal Verse!]
The moment the words appeared in his vision, a rush of knowledge flooded his mind. His eyes widened as he processed the information. Personal Verse was essentially his own pocket dimension, a universe that existed solely for him. At its current state, it was the size of a small village, but as he grew stronger, so would his domain, eventually expanding to limitless proportions.
"Holy shit," Ethan whispered in awe. He could enter and exit it at will, bring people or objects inside, and even shape the land to his liking. This was beyond useful. A personal, ever-growing realm that would not only serve as a safe haven but could even be developed into a kingdom? The possibilities were endless.
He was already imagining his future—a massive kingdom floating in the void, where he could retreat whenever he pleased. Perhaps he could even set up a home there instead of mooching off Tony. Nah, stealing—I mean, borrowing—a villa still sounded more fun.
Curious about his new ability, Ethan willed himself into the Personal Verse. In an instant, he found himself standing in an empty yet serene expanse. The sky was a soft shade of purple, resembling twilight, and the air was cool and refreshing. There were rolling fields, a few scattered trees, and a small river flowing through the land. Though it was currently limited in size, he wasn't worried. This was just the beginning.
"This is insane," he said, clenching his fists in excitement. "Just imagine how big this will get in the future. If this is my 10th-day reward, what the hell am I gonna get on day 50? Day 100? Damn, I love this system."
After a few moments of appreciating his new domain, Ethan willed himself back to reality, appearing right where he had been standing outside Stark Tower.
"Alright, time to meet the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist."
With that, he casually walked toward the main entrance of the tower. The moment he stepped inside, a team of security guards turned to face him.
"Sir, do you have an appointment?" one of them asked, his hand hovering over his earpiece.
Ethan grinned. "Yeah, I have an appointment with Tony's real estate department. I'm here to claim a villa."
"Sir, if you don't have clearance, we'll have to ask you to leave."
Ethan sighed. "That's cute."
Before the guards could react, he transformed into a streak of golden light and zipped past them, effortlessly bypassing their attempts to stop him. Alarms blared throughout the building as he zoomed up the floors, heading straight for Tony's office. He phased through a few walls, avoiding security lockdowns, and within seconds, he stood right outside the door of the top-floor penthouse.
Inside, Tony Stark was lounging on his couch with Pepper Potts, sipping a drink and chatting when suddenly, the doors burst open.
"Yo, Stark! Lend me a villa, will ya?" Ethan said with a grin.
Tony, mid-sip, froze, his eyes narrowing as he set down his glass. "Okay, who the hell are you, and how did you get in here?" He glanced at Pepper, who looked equally startled but didn't panic. She was used to strange things happening around Tony.
Ethan strolled in like he owned the place. "Name's Ethan. Just a guy looking for a place to stay. Thought, why not ask the richest man in New York? So here I am."
Tony stared at him, unimpressed. "And you figured breaking into my tower was the best way to ask?"
Ethan shrugged. "Well, your security was kinda annoying. Had to get past it somehow."
Tony sighed and stood up. "Pep, you might want to step back for this."
She nodded and moved aside just as Tony tapped a button on his watch. Instantly, parts of the Iron Man suit began flying toward him from various corners of the room, assembling around his body within seconds. The iconic red-and-gold armor locked into place, his helmet closing with a sharp hiss.
The arc reactor on his chest hummed to life. "Alright, kid, since you like breaking and entering, let's see how well you handle getting thrown out."
Ethan smirked, cracking his knuckles. "Oh, this is gonna be fun."
And just like that, the fight was about to begin.
