Chapter 60: Chapter 59: Ren Fa Takes the Stage

Everyone was stunned when they heard Uncle Nine say that, including the spectators who had been watching.

"What's with Lin Jiu? He's strong, sure, but isn't this a bit too arrogant?"

"We don't know about the others, but their leader is obviously the strongest one. And Lin Jiu is letting them all attack together? Does he have something up his sleeve?"

"Lin Jiu has already fought twice. He must have used up a lot of energy. He's overestimating himself!"

Despite all the murmuring from the crowd, Uncle Nine's expression remained calm and unbothered.

"Hurry up and get on stage. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can all go home," Uncle Nine urged the Japanese fighters.

Shino Jiro's smile had completely disappeared. Being looked down on like this was humiliating for anyone.

He turned to Wang Cheng, the Maoshan sect leader, and asked, "Master Wang, what do you think…?"

Wang Cheng replied, "Since my junior brother is inviting you all to attack together, then go ahead. Once the fight starts, injuries will be unavoidable, so don't hold back!"

Shino Jiro was full of confusion. Did Wang Cheng and Lin Jiu have some kind of conflict? Was he using them to get rid of his junior brother?

Since the Maoshan sect leader had agreed, the Japanese fighters stepped onto the stage.

"Senior Lin, no hard feelings!"

Dark mist spread around them, filling the air with an eerie and unsettling energy.

One after another, strange and monstrous creatures appeared on the stage, all of them far stronger than the ghostly creature from before.

Seeing this, Uncle Nine smiled calmly and patted the coffin that had been placed in the corner.

"Aren't you here to learn about Maoshan techniques? Then let me show you the Maoshan corpse-controlling technique!"

With that, he pretended to chant something, then slapped the coffin and shouted, "Rise!"

The coffin lid slid open, and Ren Fa, already dressed in the funeral robes of an official, slowly stood up. His face, under his control, had turned bluish-green with sharp fangs.

"This is our sect's treasured corpse, passed down through generations. Today, you get to see it in action. But my control isn't very stable, so you better be careful," Uncle Nine kindly warned.

The Japanese fighters could sense the aura Ren Fa was giving off, but they didn't feel any real danger. Still, since their opponent dared to use him as a trump card, there had to be something special about him.

Not daring to be careless, they each prepared their own techniques.

Once both sides were ready, a disciple standing by the side struck the bronze gong.

The moment the gong rang, the fighters exchanged glances before sending their ghosts and monsters charging forward.

At the same time, Ren Fa rushed up to engage them, and the battle quickly turned into an intense back-and-forth struggle.

Uncle Nine was at the back, looking like he was struggling to control the zombie. His face had turned pale, but in his mind, he was thinking, "What an amazing performance! As expected of Old Master Ren! Look at that, he's actually keeping up with the opponent!"

On the battlefield, Ren Fa was occasionally hit, making loud thumping sounds, but he didn't take any damage. On the other hand, since he wasn't very agile, he couldn't land any hits on the opponent either. It looked like a fight where neither side could do anything to the other.

Seeing this, Jiro Shino let out a sigh of relief. "So that's it? I thought he'd be much stronger! Aside from his tough defense, there's nothing special about him!"

"Senior Lin, your zombie is indeed impressive," Jiro Shino sneered, "but you're overestimating yourself. If this were a one-on-one fight, maybe you'd have a chance. But you really think you can take on all five of us at once? Do you have any other tricks up your sleeve? If not, you're about to lose!"

He glanced at Uncle Nine, who was sweating profusely, his face pale as he struggled to control the zombie. Jiro Shino figured this was the perfect opportunity.

"Heh, well then, here we come!" Jiro Shino gave Uncle Nine a little warning before leading the others in a charge straight for his vital points.

Just as their attacks were about to land, Uncle Nine suddenly leaped back and spat out a mouthful of blood.

Finally! After holding it in for so long, he got to spit out the fake blood. Uncle Nine took a deep breath—if you're going to act, you have to go all the way!

Seeing Uncle Nine coughing up blood, Jiro Shino assumed he had suffered a backlash from controlling the zombie. A grin spread across his face.

"Senior Lin, I didn't expect you to dodge that! But let's see if you can avoid the next one!"

Uncle Nine suddenly shouted in panic, "Run! The treasure corpse is out of control!"

"Heh, so what if a zombie goes out of—"

Before Jiro Shino could finish his sentence, he suddenly felt a terrifying presence behind him. His body stiffened, and he quickly turned his head.

The once blue-faced, fanged zombie had changed. Now, it looked just like a normal person, except for the blood-red glow in its eyes.

A terrifying aura radiated from its body—something so sinister and bloodthirsty that Jiro Shino had never felt anything like it before.

The ghosts that had been attacking earlier were now frozen in place, completely motionless. Fear, something they had never experienced, was radiating from them, as if they had encountered their natural predator.

Ren Fa casually waved his hand, and the ghosts that had been fighting him instantly vanished into thin air.

He then slowly walked toward the group, his overwhelming presence pinning them down in place. Standing in front of Jiro Shino, he asked, "You just said I was out of control. What do you plan to do about it?"
