Chapter 51: Chapter 50: Visitors from Maoshan
At this moment, in the world of *Mr. Vampire*, Ren Fa was sitting in the courtyard of the mortuary, enjoying the sun. Beside him, Ren Tingting was massaging his shoulders, and he looked completely relaxed.
"Grandpa! Did you really turn into a zombie?" Ren Tingting asked curiously.
"Yes, I did!" Ren Fa answered lazily, squinting his eyes.
Ren Tingting wasn't satisfied with his casual answer. "But, Grandpa, you don't look like the zombies people talk about. You're not afraid of sunlight, and your body seems just like a normal person's!"
Ren Fa opened his eyes and glanced at her. "Silly girl! Your grandpa isn't like ordinary zombies, but I'm still a zombie. Look here!"
As he spoke, he opened his mouth, revealing two sharp, elongated fangs. After a moment, they slowly shrank back. He smiled at his curious granddaughter and said, "If you ever want to become a zombie, just tell Grandpa!"
Startled, Ren Tingting quickly pulled her hands back.
"Haha! So curious, yet so easily scared!" Ren Fa chuckled, clearly amused by her reaction.
"Grandpa! You scared me!" Ren Tingting pouted, acting spoiled.
"Alright, alright! Enough playing around. By the way, how's your father doing lately?"
"Ever since you gave him those formulas, he's been supervising work in the workshop. He's following your advice and hiring more refugees to expand the business."
After arriving at the mortuary, Ren Fa had met with Master Ren and his wife, giving them some formulas from the future.
He also secretly advised Master Ren to recruit and train people, ensuring they could protect themselves if needed.
Master Ren wanted Ren Fa to move back home, but Ren Fa refused. Instead, he expanded and rebuilt the mortuary. Uncle Nine had originally chosen this spot because it was the most yin-heavy area around, perfect for his cultivation.
Besides, staying close to Uncle Nine meant more interesting things were bound to happen.
"Tingting, stay away from those two boys. Neither of them is worth anything! I don't think much of them at all!" Ren Fa said, glancing at Wencai and Qiusheng, who were sneakily peeking from a distance.
Back when he first watched the movie, Ren Fa had found the two quite funny. But as potential sons-in-law? No way!
No skills, not good-looking, and full of themselves. If he were Uncle Nine, he'd have kicked them out of the sect long ago.
Having studied abroad, Ren Tingting naturally didn't think much of Uncle Nine's two disciples. "Grandpa, stop joking! I'd never get involved with those two."
Just then, a man in a Taoist robe entered the courtyard. He looked to be in his fifties and had the air of an enlightened master.
Ren Fa sensed his presence immediately and realized this man had reached the level of Heavenly Master.
The Taoist also noticed Ren Fa, turning his head to look in his direction.
"Tingting, you should head back first. I have something to take care of here." Ren Fa spoke, dismissing Ren Tingting. She understood the situation and left without acting clueless like women often do in movies.
The newcomer didn't stop her from leaving.
"Who are you, and what do you want?" It was clear this person had come specifically for Ren Fa.
The visitor clasped his hands in greeting. "You must be Mr. Ren. I'm Wang Cheng, Feng Jiao's senior brother and the 79th-generation head of Maoshan. It's an honor to meet you."
Ren Fa was surprised. He hadn't expected the head of Maoshan to come in person.
It seemed Maoshan was taking him more seriously than he thought.
