Chapter 111 Recording

"Is the "Silver Light" single officially launching?"

"That's right, Brother Jing, you have to help me this time." Lin Xiaocan's tone carried a bit of coquettishness.

Shen Jingqi was about to serve as Lin Xiaocan's music producer, a task of significant importance. He stood up, adjusted his clothes, and felt an unprecedented sense of anticipation welling up inside him.

"Brother Jing, are you ready?" Lin Xiaocan's clear voice came from outside the door, interrupting Shen Jingqi's thoughts.

"Of course, let's go."

They stepped out of the house, where the sports car was already parked by the doorway. Uncle Li had been waiting for quite some time.

"Uncle Li, we'll be troubling you again today." Lin Xiaocan said politely.

"Don't mention it. It's my honor to serve you both." Uncle Li replied expressionlessly, then started the car.

With the roar of the engine, the sports car sped out of the community like an arrow, racing towards the city center's recording studio. The scenery along the way was like a series of flowing paintings, but neither Shen Jingqi nor Lin Xiaocan was in the mood to enjoy it. Their hearts were filled with anticipation and tension for the upcoming recording session.

Finally, the sports car came to a gentle stop at the entrance of the recording studio. It was a tall building, with a minimalist yet fashionable appearance. A few staff members stood at the entrance, nodding and smiling as they greeted Shen Jingqi and Lin Xiaocan.

"Star Xiaoxiao, welcome to the recording studio!" A slender woman with a charming face stepped forward, warmly extending her hand.

"Xiaoya, this is Shen Jingqi, my music producer." Lin Xiaocan responded with a smile and introduced Shen Jingqi.

"Wow, such a handsome guy!"

Xiaoya's eyes lit up, unable to take them off Shen Jingqi.

"Hello, Xiaoya!"

Shen Jingqi nodded, feeling slightly embarrassed.

Xiaoya led them into the recording studio. It was a spacious and bright area, with walls adorned with various musical instruments and audio equipment. In the center was a large recording console, strewn with different recording devices and monitoring headphones.

"This place is amazing!" Lin Xiaocan couldn't help but exclaim.

"Indeed, the equipment here is top-notch; we will surely get the best results." Shen Jingqi echoed.

Xiaoya nodded with a smile, then led them to the recording room. It was a relatively enclosed space, with walls lined with soundproof materials. In the center was a comfortable chair, above which hung a microphone. A faint fragrance filled the air, evoking a sense of tranquility and relaxation.

"Xiaoxiao, please take a seat. We'll be doing the final recording for you." Xiaoya pointed to the chair.

Lin Xiaocan nodded and sat down. She took a deep breath, adjusted her emotions, and then began the recording. Shen Jingqi stood by, closely observing Lin Xiaocan's every subtle movement and expression.

"Are you ready?" Shen Jingqi softly asked, his voice like a spring breeze, carrying an imperceptible touch of tenderness and encouragement.

Lin Xiaocan took a deep breath and nodded; this moment was crucial for her.

She was only a persona of Li Baiyu, with limited and uncertain time to appear.

Shen Jingqi smiled at her, his gaze filled with trust and anticipation. He lightly patted Lin Xiaocan's shoulder, as if conveying an invisible force. "Relax, believe in yourself. You can do it."

Lin Xiaocan nodded, deeply inhaling as she closed her eyes to immerse herself entirely in the world of music. Her heart swelled with love and desire for music, as if an invisible force propelled her forward.

As the recording engineer gave the cue, the studio lights dimmed instantly. A soft light from the ceiling illuminated Lin Xiaocan. She gently gripped the microphone, feeling its coldness act as a bridge with the music.

"Three, two, one, start!" The engineer's voice rang in the headphones, clear and forceful.

Lin Xiaocan took a deep breath, then slowly began to sing the first line of lyrics. Her voice flowed like a clear stream, resonating in the studio with a magical allure, captivating everyone.

However, when she reached the second line, her voice wavered suddenly. She felt her heartbeat quicken, and her palms grew sweaty. She knew she was nervous, but now wasn't the time to think. She could only hold the microphone tight and try to stay calm.

Shen Jingqi, observing her expression change, couldn't help but feel nervous. But he knew he needed to provide encouragement and support to Lin Xiaocan. He clapped his hands gently and then said loudly, "Xiaoxiao! You can do this! Believe in yourself! Pour your emotions into it!"

Lin Xiaocan heard Shen Jingqi, and looking up, she saw his resolute eyes and smiling face. A warm rush spread through her heart, as if she'd found reliance and strength. She inhaled deeply again and sang that line once more. This time, her voice was more steady and powerful, carrying an irresistible charm.

As the music progressed, Lin Xiaocan gradually found her stride. She forgot the surrounding noise and tension, focusing solely on her music and emotions. It was as if she'd entered a new world, merging with the music. Her voice echoed in the studio, akin to a heavenly melody that enthralled everyone.

Yet just before she was about to sing the final line, something unexpected happened. The studio lights flickered briefly and then went out completely. A blanket of darkness enveloped everything, with only the faint glow of the microphone in Lin Xiaocan's hand.

"What's happening? What happened?" Lin Xiaocan cried out in panic, a slight tremble in her voice.

"Don't panic! It might be a circuit issue." Shen Jingqi quickly responded, heading to the recording console to locate the problem. Everything appeared strange and frightening in the darkness. He relied on his phone light to illuminate his path.

"Xiaoxiao! Don't be afraid! I'm here! I'll protect you!" Shen Jingqi shouted, his voice resonating in the dark, firm and courageous.

Hearing Shen Jingqi's voice, a warmth surged in Lin Xiaocan's heart. She took a deep breath, striving to maintain her composure.

"No problem, Brother Jing. I can do this." Lin Xiaocan said softly in the darkness, her voice weak yet full of determination and courage.

The team members searched for the source of the issue under phone lights and discovered a circuit short caused the blackout. They swiftly resolved the problem and switched on the studio's backup lights.

With the lights back on, the recording studio regained its brightness and warmth.

"All right, the issue is fixed. We can continue recording." Xiaoya wiped her sweat.

Lin Xiaocan nodded, taking a deep breath before standing again before the microphone. This time, more confident and resolute, she forgot previous tensions and unexpected events, focusing on her music and emotions. She seemed to merge with the music, pouring all emotions and strength into it.

As the music proceeded, Lin Xiaocan's voice echoed in the studio once more.

Finally, as the last note fell, the "Silver Light" single was successfully recorded.

Applause and cheers erupted throughout the studio. Lin Xiaocan stood up, her face beaming with excitement and joy.

"Xiaoxiao, you were amazing!" Xiaoya applauded.

Other staff members also stepped forward to offer congratulations.
