I. "Boy, you wanna explain why the fuck did you bring a girl here?" asked Alice angrily at Cronos. Rabiane shakens and she hides behind Kaguya. Alice notices and she breathes deeply to calm down. "I'm sorry. Truthfully, this place is not safe to girls like you." said Alice stating her concerns.

"We couldn't exactly leave her out there." said Kaguya. Alice nods. She takes out a map from her pocket of her short. The map shows the entirety of the city. The Cinema and the Mall which is the Jam Rock settlement is encircled with a red market. Alice takes off the cap of the red marker and marks an apartment nearby. "Since that dickhead kept exploring all around the place, some areas are free from whatever the fuck is out there. We're planning renovating some buildings around the block. You all could be tenants to this apartment. Just so you know, don't get fucking close to men around here, especially that fucker Marduk and his goons. They pretty much kiss my Boss' boots being a pussy they are and now there are fucking everywhere. That sadist kept them in check but that bitch made her own faction of her own lackeys."

"Hold. What social groups have been established Alice?" asked Cronos wanting to understand what is going on. Alice thinks and then said, "First of all, the dickhead, my boss, Simmon, leads the Rock Gang. You could say I am part of Rock Gang. We both lead our gang and we own Simmon's Love Brothel and Dormitories. Simmon primarily handles that requires immediate actions while I handle the administrative work as his Assistant. The second faction I will mention is Clodia's Police Crew. They are minority but trust me, they don't hesitate to use force. Boss had to appeal to that bitch named Clodia a truce and the conditions were Clodia and her crew do the policing around the place and let them decide how the lawbreakers be punished. The other faction is Eva's faction. Eva acts as the representative of those responsible of handling the supplies that Boss brings back. She is the one that proposed of using credits as our currency and leads a couple of shopkeepers do businesses. You do not want to get into debt when that bitch is around. The rest I call swines as all they do is loiter around the mall being one of those fucking moral activists. Fuckers ate our food but they had the fucking nerve calling us slavers. Slavers! They call us!"

Cronos can feel that Alice hates the minority judging how her veins is visibly popping out. Alice felt something touch her shoulder. She lets out a yelp and looks at timid Rabiane. "G-God bless you sister Alice..." said Rabiane meekly. Alice is simply speechless that her only response to Rabiane is a head slap to her own head. "I am sorry Rabi." Alice apologized. Rabiane shakes her head and said, "I-Its alright." replied Rabiane.

It takes some time to settle in the mentioned apartment. There are alot of rooms to choose from. Kaguya says that she wants alot of space to herself so she picks a room and begins organizing her stuff. Cronos picks a room that is adjacent to Kaguya's. The room layout should be the same except the furniture placements. Rabiane follows Cronos as she doesn't want to be alone for a while until she gets used to. It was an awkward interaction between the two as Cronos kept silent and Rabiane is feeling shy.

II. The setup of Cronos' room ended up looking like a religious person lives here as Rabiane was the one arranging the furnitures that focuses on space. The living room is wide for the couch and the coffee table is placed next to a wall. It is decorated with a small shrine and small grey candle holders. Cronos stocks the cabinets with canned food he bought with credits together with Kaguya. He doesn't mind taking more jobs from Alice.

Rabiane speaks to Cronos. "Thank you for helping me." said she gratefully. Cronos nods. Rabiane looks around and looks at Cronos with a serious look. "You... You have this kind of darkness looming over you. And also, you have no heart. How is that you are living but also not living at the same time? Are you a puppet to the Evil God?" Cronos replied, "I am not affiliated with anyone."

Rabiane thinks of Cronos' answer. His neutral answer makes her feel suspicious of him. Still, it is he who helped her escape. And as a sister of a holy religion, it is a blasphemy for her order to not give gratitude to those that support their mission. She can see something sinister about Cronos and she isn't sure whether she has to confront him or not.

"What will you do?" asked Rabiane to Cronos. Cronos replied, "Since we will explore the land to find out its true nature, I will lend the Rock Gang from Jam Rock my sword." Rabiane is at least happy to hear that he will support the people from Jam Rock. "If so, allow me to join your party. I will prove myself useful." requested by Rabiane as she bows sincerely. Cronos nonchalantly agrees.

III. You can never know a day has passed without an alarm clock. This alarmed Rabiane. She thought the alarm clock is a warning bell to signify there are intruders in the area. Cronos is calm because he knows what is an alarm clock. He looks at Rabiane and did say nothing. He just finds the alarm clock and pressed the button on top to turn it off. Rabiane looks at Cronos with a flustered look. She lets down her guard and lower her sword and coughs. "Its just a precation... T-that's all." said Rabiane with a embarrassed look.

There is a knock on the door. Rabiane is nervous but the voice from the other side asked, "Is everything alright? I heard a scream." Cronos opened the door and let Kaguya in. Kaguya looks around and looks at Cronos with a suspicious look. "You two slept together?" asked Kaguya with a smirk.

Cronos shakes his head. Rabiane says that everything is fine. Kaguya said, "Alice called for us. It seems Simmon brought more supplies and people." Cronos nods but Rabiane asked, "Is Simmon the leader sister Alice follows?" Kaguya nods. She said, "Its him alright. He has a screw loose but he is strong. I am just worried."

Cronos asked, "What is your concern?" Kaguya thinks about it and said, "Don't you think he is bringing too much people?"

Truthfully, the Jam Rock has a big population count that maybe exceeds 300. The fact that Alice needing to claim the buildings around Jam Rock meant the need for places to house the population. One of the primary concern Kaguya has is the supplies. Of course, Simmon's Rock Gang is bringing the supplies but if this continues, the supplies will be in defficit. Second concern is the factions. The people are obviously split into factions meaning they have no structured governance.

"That would be a problem..." said Cronos and he sighed. He doesn't quite understand the problem. Rabiane thinks and said, "Maybe God can help. We just need to build a shrine to pray for God for blessings and salvation." Kaguya smiles. She said, "That only helps those who are religious. I spent some time with the outcasts. In times like these, they will only follow those that provides and that is Simmon. Alice did mention he was acting like a Good Samaritan."

Rabiane nods. She seems to have some respect for Simmon even though she hasn't met him yet. "I am sure God blessed this man. He is a savior." Kaguya laughs at that which made Rabiane look confused.

They go to Jam Rock. The music is very chill. The mood of everyone in Jam Rock are being casual. Kaguya can see who among the people are those with wealth and those who don't. Few young boys and girls are begging for food. They were looked down by others. Hierarchy has been formed due to population count and faction. Rabiane silently prays for the poor beggars.

IV. "Hey look it is, its the chump." said Simmon after seeing Cronos. All the Rock Gang have gathered along with the Local State Police whom is led by the policewoman named Clodia. She glares at everyone, using her eyes behind the shades to judge them. "Well then, I guess every sons of bitches have arrived so lets get this over with." said Alice as she begins tear off a chart.

"Anyways, we had Eva plan the expansion of our shitty community as we are running out of space. We agreed that Clodia will be enforcing rules that we want to impose." said Alice. Clodia folds both of her arms and said, "That's right you scums. I will only agree if your law makes fucking sense so out with it."

Simmon coughs and begins his speech. "I think its time to change. Lots of assholes are just loitering around the place with no contribution whatsoever. I plan of making a rule that those who do not contribute for a week will be kicked out of this place. We do not need slackers that just fill up the space. Screw them with their victim act." Rabiane slams the table with both hands and said, "You cannot just abandom them after saving them!" She shouted angrily. This had negative outcome for her.

Simmon looks down on Rabiane and said, "Even if you're a woman, I won't listen to you just because you are sexy. Don't you know how many women are selling their body than men? I may be into a brothel business but I do not tolerate those who think women are playthings. Even women in my gang can fight so why can't other men do it?" Simmon does make a valid point. Few men are actually fighting outside and Simmon is always accompanied by most women. "Wasn't that your fault you fucking idiot for bringing these dogs?" said Clodia. She also makes a valid point. It was Simmon who brought all the people here. Simmon refuted, "How would I know it turns into this?! I didn't know they are scared pussies!"

Clodia laughs. She said, "Oh this is as far as your good guy image can go big guy? I expected more." Alice intervenes. "Alright knock it off bitch. We still need to find out a way to resolve the issue of housing people. We planned to take the buildings around the cinema. Eva agreed to it." Clodia puffs out a smoke from her cigarette and places her hand on the table. "I do not agree of this plan of yours dear Alice." said Clodia with a flirty tone. Alice covers her face with a clipboard.

Clodia proposes a plan. "You should let the men fight out of that wasteland. It is a fucking waste if you die out there and some other scumbags assume control here." Clodia meant what she said. She wants men instead of staying in the safety of the building, she wants them out there fighting. Men are pissed at Clodia's plan. They argued that Clodia is sexist. Simmon looks at the other thugs with hostility. He shouts at them. "The women have more balls than you virgins!" His last word utterly destroys the men's confidence which made Clodia laughed out loud.

Rabiane couldn't believe this is the kind of people she will be working with. They not ideal people she wanted to work with. Still, in the end, Clodia won the argument to send the men to scout the rest of the area and kick the idle ones out of Jam Rock if they do not contribute. Women are exempted from this law of course which caused unrest between men and women.

V. The implementation of the law has been issued and with Simmon's influence as the defacto leader made it run smoothly. Many protested it but the three faction supported the law. The minority is the one that will suffer from this law. Rabiane looks down. "Can we at least save them all?" she muttered.

Kaguya reassures Rabiane. "I am sorry but I think this is right. With the rising threats from both zombies and robots, we need strength in numbers if we are to survive for long." Rabiane tries to rationalize it. Her faith doesn't seem to be wavered so Rabiane ended up agreeing that Clodia is right. God bless those who takes challenges of life, not those who stand by doing nothing.

In the meantime, Simmon starts doing the interview. God knows what happen in his personal office as strange noise happens which alarmed Rabiane. Cracks, whips, and screams of men can be heard which frightens the thugs. But the more men that come out, the more willing they join. For whatever reason despite being bruised, they are highly energetic. The thugs whispered about how good it felt. It turns out that Clodia is also doing the interview work alongside with Simmon and she knows a good motivation for men. Cronos and Kaguya were the ones that overheard. Cronos doesn't react to it but Kaguya, let's just say she had trouble imagining whether it was torture or something else.

When it comes to Cronos, Kaguya, and Rabiane, they were instantly accepted by Simmon which shocked Clodia. "What the fuck are you thinking you dumbass?!" shouted Clodia angrily. Simmon looks fine but there is a repeated sounds of stomping noises underneath the table. His foot is shaking. "Come on Clodia. I've seen these guys how they fought. They are badasses. They even had the time to help my assistant." said Simmon to Clodia. Kaguya is happy to be accepted without needing to take a test.

Simmon looks at Cronos and said, "Listen well you chump. You will be the leader of this group. Name whatever you want. But you will be in charge of the west. Some crazy monsters have shown up and they are even more disgusting than those rotten freaks." Rabiane sweats and asked, "Do they look like mismatched bodies?" Simmon is surprised. He said, "They are. How did you know girly?" Rabiane answered, "Because I faced the Abominations before."

"Right, we found you from the west. You are more familiar with the area than we do." said Kaguya. Rabiane shakes her head. She said, "No. The cursed area is quite foreign to me. Even you people, are strange to me."

Cronos looks at Simmon with confidence. "What shall we do, Boss?" said Cronos. Simmon makes a smug look and ordered, "Screw them up." The mission is invasion and they have to clear the area one after another. Cronos and his company goes to the current objective.

VI. They come back to where they started. The crazy zombies are looking for their prey. Rabiane says that piercing their heart is one way to end them but they can also hack away all the limbs and crush the heart last. The crazy zombies can be identified by their erratic uncontrollable growls and uncontrollable shakes. Some had no heads but they are still able to move. These type of zombies the only ones that have this weakness. The other zombies that stumbles forward are the normal ones that can be killed by destroying the head or mutilating the body whole.

Cronos as usual the one with the front guard duty. This time Kaguya is definitely in the rear guard. Rabiane now stands in the middle guard. This composition can be changed to a Defensive Vertical Line Formation, Offensive Horizontal Line Formation, Defensive Triangle Formation and Offensive Triangle Formation. Which formation corresponds to certain situations such as Line Formations are best used in narrow areas while Triangle Formations is best for open areas.

In terms of skill, Cronos is always a defender rather than an attacker. Sure, he can dish out a powerful Hard Hit but it is useless if it does not connect and it is a waste of stamina. He is still an inexperienced swordman that knows how the basic of using the sharp end of his weapon. The most noteworthy skill of his is ability to use Deflect projectiles and always being the one moving first before anything else. In addition to that, using P2050 handgun that he received from Kaguya, he can Quickshot foes to deal extra damage before performing a slashing damage.

Kaguya is very simple to understand the way she fights. She has Cobra, Scorpion, Spider and DSA-1. Each firearm has their own perks following the order from shortest range to longest range. Scorpion, Spider, Cobra, and DSA-1. Plus she has the unnatural talent to traverse even unstable grounds with ease with her Shadowstep. She has to spend stamina to perform that move and only that move costs something. Her guns attacks require resources such as ammunations for each guns. If she wanted, she can play the role of a dodge tank to pull off aggro away from Cronos.

Rabiane fulfills the role of support as she can use both her Bluerose Sword and her Mythical Bow. She is a slow attacker when using Bluerose Sword so she is not suited in frontline combat. Her main fighting style is using her Mytical Bow to shoot magical arrows at her enemies at safe distance. Her range is shorter than Kaguya's but she deals consistent damage especially against creatures that are influenced by unholy magic.

They encountered the zombies, both normal and crazy zombies that Kaguya prefer to call "Ghoul" appeared in the fight. The ghouls spot them and they start to dash to attack. The zombies around have been alerted. They are slow so they aren't the main concern.

The area they stand is a street with various obstacles like vehicles. Kaguya finds a high ground so she goes there and wields her Cobra to perform overwatch. Cronos takes his stand and wait for the ghouls to come. Rabiane stands behind Cronos to provide backup. Both Kaguya and Rabiane started firing their projectiles, successfully dispatching 5 incoming ghouls before others start attacking Cronos.

Cronos is able to slice the ghoul by their limbs to reduce their combat effectiveness as their claws are their primary weapon. Rabiane runs out of her magical arrows so she start standing beside Cronos for Short Line Defensive Formation. The ghouls attack the two. Cronos succeeds defending himself only receiving bruises. Rabiane however, gets scratched by a ghoul when she missed her swing. Luckily Kaguya is providing covering fire from a vantage point so she easily downed the ghoul allowing Rabiane to finish it off with a stab to the heart. Defeating the ghouls in the area made the invasion much easier as the ones that are left are regular zombies. Just decimating the head is enough to crush them down.

VII. They successfully defeat all enemies in the area. Members of Rock Gang show up and Kaguya reported their accomplishment to the acting captain. Once the report is finished, Kaguya relays new information to the group. "They say that a group has been compromised by an unknown target. They are bigger than a regular zombie and it is wrecking the area. The group requests for backup." said Kaguya.

Rabiane feels concerned. "Do they look all flesh?" asked Rabiane wanting to confirm something. Kaguya responds with a yes. Cronos can see Rabiane's anxiety. This must have been bad.

Cronos, Kaguya, and Rabiane volunteers to be the backup. The acting leader appreciates the help. They will secure the area first before engaging as reinforcements. They run to the site but they were too late. 6 casualties happened and the beast is still rampaging. "I-Its an Abomination." said Rabiane.

This type of Abomination is mutated like some sort of feral werewolf with no fur. It tears everything that moves and it can smell the scent of the thugs that are hiding behind obstacles. It caught a scent and it immediately lunges and tore a woman's arms off her body. The piercing scream of the woman attracted the attention of the ghouls. It was too late. Another count to the casualty has been added. It is fast, deadly, and can lunge towards its target.

VIII. The battle begins. While the Abomination is distracted looking for survivors, Cronos, Kaguya, and Rabiane starts their assault assuming the Offensive Triangle Formation with Kaguya as the frontliner. She changes her Cobra to Spider which is a fast shooter weapon capable of dealing as much damage as she can. Cronos is covering the left side and Rabiane is covering the right. Rabiane has replenished her arrows so she will be dealing range damage from distance like Kaguya.

The zombies and ghouls are trying to get them but thanks to Kaguya shooting a submachinegun, not one ghoul ever reached them until it ran out of bullets in ita magazine. As Kaguya is reloading, Cronos assumes his position adjacent to Kaguya to guard her left. The ghouls are now attacking Cronos and he got knocked back as they put pressure on him. Cronos counters and slices the limbs of the ghouls. Rabiane spent all her arrows killing all the ghouls in the area that are weakened by Cronos.

The Abomination take notice of the three. It violently roars which shook the ground. Its roar filled with malice is deafening. "We have to banish this cursed amalgamation!" shouted Rabiane courageously.

It lunges towards Kaguya who is standing in front of it. Kaguya reacts to the attack and backsteps to safety with Shadowstep. It missed Kaguya entirely but it didn't stop swiping its claws towards Cronos. Cronos tries to dodge but he ended up blocking the attack which knocks him down. Cronos rolls out of the way and it stomps on the ground where Cronos was lying down before. The strength of the stomp left an imprint to the ground. Rabiane tries to attack but the Abomination swings a powerful cleave with its claws, wounding Rabiane's entire left arm. Rabiane screams from pain and she stumbles backwards away from the enemy.

The Abomination is locked on Rabiane. It wants to tear her apart. The smell of blood from her arm makes it excited. Cronos already performed an action and he couldn't get in between it and Rabiane in time. In a split second, the Abomination lunges to Rabiane, but Kaguya shoots an overwatch with Scorpion which dealt knockback to the Abomination. She stops it action.

The Abomination starts to get to Rabiane. It ignores Kaguya entirely which allowed Kaguya to shoot another shot with Scorpion. It is definetely enraged at Kaguya. Its veins pop out and it roars directly at Kaguya which stuns her. The Abomination lunges at high speed and Kaguya instinctively dodges. Her head unfortunately gets hit but its a bump to the head. She barely avoided the claws. The Abomination is currently focused on Kaguya.

Kaguya is very agile but not enough to dodge repeatedly without running out of breath. She couldn't fire Scorpion due to being pressured. Cronos grips hard and hits the Abomination with his Parallel Chronoblade. It puts a dent of its arm. He needs multiple attempts to deal significant damage.

Landing a good hit against this Abomination is difficult as it is both fast and relentless for Kaguya to land good shots. And worse of all, the heart wasn't a weakpoint. It is something else but how. Zombies and ghouls are now appearing after time had passed which is bad for Cronos, Kaguya, and Rabiane. All of them are utterly exhausted and its Cronos resorted to tackles just to knock it off away from the girls and gain its attention.

IX. The thugs begin to help. They steel their mind to fight in order to live. They grab their rifles and fire to the incoming zombies and ghouls. They cheered for Cronos, Kaguya and Rabiane. The cheer boosted their confidence.

The Abomination jumps and tries to grab Cronos but Cronos thrusts his Parallel Chronoblade to trade blows. The winner of the exchange is Cronos as he is able to use his shorter height to dodge the grab and stab it on its abdomen. It roars violently, jumps back in a hurry, and covers its abdomen. Cronos found the weakpoint.

Cronos shouted this new information to Kaguya and Rabiane. With that, Kaguya changes her weapon from Scorpion to DSA-1. Because she is in distance, she can safely snipe the abdomen. Rabiane covers Kaguya's back and attack the attacking zombies and ghouls. She tries her best not to miss one swing as she attacks a devastating cleave.

The Abomination is enraged about this and wants to kill Cronos. It lunges and unleash a flurry of scratches. Cronos takes the hit, injuring his wrist and his legs. The guard is successful and his vitals are protected. Cronos is determined to hack away its skin.

The Parallel Chronoblade begins to shine black and time slows down around Cronos. He spent all of his stamina to continuously slashing the abdomen. The skin tears away with each slashes and its glass like core has been revealed. He slashed 26 slashes under 2 seconds, which didn't give the Abomination time to react. It stood there processing what happened which is what Kaguya wanted.

Kaguya lifts DSA-1 up and looks through the scope. She angles her aim towards the crosshairs from her scope. She holds it steady and inhales for stability. The core is targetted. Kaguya pulls the trigger and DSA-1 fires a very pointy bullet shot from its long barrel. Its weighted stock, muzzle break, and bipod gave it less recoil, making sure that the bullet flies straight to the target. The shot flies straight to the core. The impact shatters the core. The force cracks it, rendering the Abomination immobile. Cronos takes the final attack and thrusts his Parallel Chronoblade into the core. The core completely shatters and the Abomination falls down like a statue.

The threat is now dealt with which boosted everyone's morale. All worked together to defeat all enemies in the area. The damage is already done but thanks to the intervention, the damage is prevented to progress further. The thugs smiles with tears, holding their dead comrades. Kaguya and Rabiane sympathize their feeling. Cronos does not. He finds this strange. Yet he learned something or two at least.

He got another gear piece that is lodged under the ribcage of the Abomination. The piece fits in the indent of his guard. The Parallel Chronoblade will be stronger than before.
