Mr. President Begs for Remarriage After Seeing Our Kids

Chapter 1: Chapter 1 She's Pregnant, The Company is in Trouble

She was pregnant.

According to her calculations, it must have been last month, the last time they were together, which was also the time after which Yu Siting suggested they get a divorce.

For three years, she had longed desperately for a child with him, but incredibly, the child had arrived just as they were about to split up.

Yan Xi didn't know whether to feel sad or happy as she received the pregnancy test report from her friend's hands. When she saw the words "Confirmed Pregnant," her expression was subtly complex.

"This child, what terrible timing, you and your husband had decided to divorce..."

Lu Fangfei stopped mid-sentence and sighed softly.

Yan Xi clenched the pregnancy report in her hands, her smile wan, her tone bitter, "Yes, the timing really couldn't be worse."

The child's arrival was too sudden, catching her off guard.

She took a deep breath and said in a low voice,

"Please keep this a secret for now."

Lu Fangfei gestured "okay" and kept the unspoken agreement.

She and Yan Xi had been classmates since high school, proceeded to medical school together, and then went abroad for further studies for three years. Now, back at the same hospital but in different departments, she was one of the few who knew the state of Yan Xi's marriage.

Watching Yan Xi about to leave, Lu Fangfei couldn't help but remind her,

"However, if you don't want this child, you need to make a decision quickly. After all, you are up for a professional title promotion later this year."

"Between marriage and career, you should hold onto one, right?"

Listening to her, Yan Xi paused slightly, nodded gently, and then walked out of the office.

She would have the child, but her marriage was beyond salvage.

Next door at the office entrance, the doctor's advisory voice rang out.

"Miss Zhao needs to rest well during this period, avoid overexertion, as you are a bit anemic right now. You should eat more nourishing foods for your blood, otherwise, it will not benefit the baby's nutrition and the delivery later on."

"Okay, thank you, Dr. Wang."

A gentle and graceful voice sounded, and Yan Xi's expression involuntarily changed slightly.

That voice sounded familiar; she had heard it before on her husband's phone.

It seemed to be her husband's old flame.

Yan Xi had already reached the corner but couldn't help looking back.

There stood a delicate and fragile woman accompanied by a man of cool, noble demeanor, and abstinent appearance. He was dressed in a black shirt paired with crisp black trousers.

His handsome face was striking enough to cause a sensation anywhere.

Yan Xi hesitated for a moment, grip tightening on the pregnancy report.

The man was Yu Siting, her husband of three years.

After the doctor mentioned a few blood-nourishing foods, the delicate and exquisite woman linked arms with the man and coquettishly said,

"Siting, I have a poor memory; you must help me remember."

"Okay."

The man nodded slightly, and his usually deep, ice-cold eyes now held a touch of warmth.

Yan Xi clearly saw a side of him that was different from before, a twinge of pain flashing through her heart that she quickly concealed.

She hardened her expression and stood at the corner, taking out her phone to dial her husband's number.

The first call, he cut off.

The second time, still disconnected.

Yan Xi had always been a reasonable person, but this time she stubbornly dialed a third time.

The third time, he answered the call.

"I'm busy."

He stated coldly, offering her no chance to speak before ending the call.

Yan Xi gripped her phone tightly, feeling a pang with each breath.

He was indeed busy, busy accompanying his first love to her pregnancy check-up, busy remembering the foods she was supposed to eat during her pregnancy.

Two years ago, when she was trying to conceive, he hadn't shown the same level of patience.

Yan Xi inhaled deeply, ready to walk away, but then the woman's soft voice reached her ears from not far away.

"Siting, was that a call from work? Am I delaying you?"

"No."

The man's voice was deep, answering almost immediately as if a second's delay would hurt her.

Yan Xi couldn't help but recall Yu Siting's dismissive, lofty manner when he was with her.

He wanted a divorce because of this woman.

Over the past month, he had not offered a single explanation, sending only an icily impersonal divorce agreement!

She pursed her lips, her hands tucked into the pockets of her white lab coat, and stepped out from around the corner.

Yan Xi, already tall and slender, added an air of dignified conservatism to the simple white coat she wore, which also showcased an aura of educated elegance, as if she were a character straight out of poetry, pure and detached from the world.

She smiled lightly, capturing the fleeting disarray in the man's gaze, and spoke softly.

"What a coincidence."

So the rumors were true, Yu Siting's first love had returned to the country, which was why he was so eager to divorce her.

Within just one month, he had sought out lawyers three times to discuss with her.

Zhao Xue'er observed the woman in front of her with a remarkable presence and a beautiful countenance, her eyes flickering slightly.

She stepped forward and affectionately linked her arm with Yu Siting's, looking up at Yan Xi.

"Siting, who is this?"

The man knitted his brows, his icy gaze falling on Yan Xi. His voice, devoid of any warmth, was emotionless, "She's my grandmother's goddaughter."

Before their marriage, Mrs. Yu had taken Yan Xi as her goddaughter to give her and Yu Siting more opportunity to interact, often inviting Yan Xi over to the Yu Family's home under various pretexts.

Years had passed and Yan Xi had all but forgotten this arrangement; she hadn't expected Yu Siting to still remember her in that capacity.

Yan Xi couldn't help but smile, her lips curving into a markedly sarcastic arch.

"So, Miss Zhao is unaware of my identity."

Her words held a double meaning as she spoke, lifting her gaze toward Yu Siting with a trace of a smile on her lips.

"Miss Zhao, hello, I am..."

Her words were cut off by the man, who interrupted her, expressionless.

"If Dr. Yan has some free time, she should visit Mr. Yan more often; I believe he's been quite troubled lately."

His deep, night-like eyes carried a subtle warning.

Yan Xi hesitated, the words she intended to say catching in her throat.

"Let's go."

Yu Siting gave Yan Xi one last indifferent glance, took Zhao Xue'er's hand, and walked past her.

As Zhao Xue'er entered the elevator, she turned to look back at Yan Xi, her clear eyes carrying an ambiguous mix of emotions.

Since they had been married, Yu Siting had never publicly acknowledged his marital status in any social setting.

In Yun City, very few people were aware of their marriage.

After all, he believed that she had coerced him into marriage as a way of repaying a kindness, which caused Zhao Xue'er deep sorrow and led her to leave.

Yan Xi's heart twisted tightly with pain, her hand clenched around the prenatal checkup report in her coat pocket.

Her phone rang. It was a call from the Yan Family's butler. The tears Yan Xi was on the verge of shedding were forcibly pushed back.

"Second Miss, please come to the hospital immediately."

"The master... he attempted suicide by taking pills, is now suffering from drug poisoning, and is currently undergoing emergency treatment."

Emergency Room.

When Yan Xi arrived, she saw Yan Ruyu from a distance, standing at the doorway with a straight back and exuding an air of dignified grace.

She hurried forward and asked,

"Sister, how is father..."

But she was interrupted before she could finish by Yan Ruyu's cool voice.

"Have you told Yu Siting about the company's situation? How did your discussions go?"

Yan Group had recently faced a severe economic crisis; partners they had agreements with were now requesting contract terminations one after another. If Yu Siting was willing to extend help, the Yan Group could survive this difficult period and recover.

At the sound of this, Yan Xi lowered her head, "Not yet, we're planning to divorce."

She bit her lip hard, not daring to look up and see Yan Ruyu's expression as she spoke.

Yan Ruyu looked at her deeply, her eyes filled with disbelief and incomprehension.

"What did you say?"

Yan Xi bit her lip harder.

Yan Ruyu took a deep breath, looking sharply at Yan Xi.

"Yan Xi, the company's problems are complex, and both father and I have rarely discussed them with you."

"I asked you to plead with Yu Siting; you ought to realize the gravity of the situation."

"Father is still in there fighting for his life. Is his life less important to you than your pride in front of Yu Siting?"
