Chapter 94
I hadn't paid particular attention to the storage facilities since we hadn't been producing enough materials to even fill the two we already had. As a matter of fact, I couldn't even remember what level the ones we'd already constructed were.

Name: Storage Facility #1
Level: 3
Stored Resources: 24,487/100,000
Level-Up Requirement: Settlement Level 4 (Met)
Level-Up Cost: 8,000x Lumber Units (80,000 MP)
1,000x Iron Units (10,000 MP)
Level-Up Time: 5,000 minutes (3,000,000 MP)
Description: A multi-story wooden building meant for storing purposes. This building is optimized to utilize every inch of space while also offering absolute protection for anything that is stored inside. A magically operated platform can transfer items from one level to another, and one of the floors has extremely low temperatures to keep biological materials from degrading.

Upon reading the description, I remembered that we had upgraded both of the storage facilities to level three so that we would have enough space to store the organs and flesh of Typhon for longer before they went bad. Since then, however, there hadn't really been any need to expand them.
Since we would have quite a few people idle starting tomorrow now that the housing was finished, it felt like a good opportunity to upgrade the existing storage buildings as well as finally build the rest of them. Six large storage facilities might be overkill at the moment, but the Dark Energy had given us the ability to build six of them for a reason. And I wanted to make sure I maximized everything in our city.
In less than four days, we would have all six of them at level four and at that point I would re-evaluate whether I wanted to get them to their maximum possible level. I continued looking down the list, going through all the buildings in order.
Having maximized the tents, which were now manors, and taken care of the storage shacks, which were now storage facilities, I looked at the farms. I had already placed and built all of them, and all of them were already at level four, bringing in a lot of resources that would be consumed by our booming population.
All of them had made great progress toward level five but wouldn't be ready for the next six days, which meant they would be finished right before we left for Hyperion's dungeon. This, however, fit perfectly into my plans as that was the last upgrade I needed to have completed before starting the long process of upgrading the guild core itself to level six.
Looking at the rest of the available construction projects in the list, I saw that we had made quite a lot of progress. The lumberyard and mining camp were already at level five and the Blacksmith's workshop would be too in less than three days.
Both of the barracks would follow suit three days after that, and the walls and all four of the mana generators were the first things I'd upgraded once we leveled up. The coil defenses, however, hadn't been upgraded yet, nor had I built all of them.

Name: Magic Thunder Coil Defenses #1
Level: 4
Level-Up Requirement: Settlement Level 5 (Met)
Level-Up Cost: 20x Lumber Units (200 MP)
30,000x Copper Units (300,000 MP)
30,000x Iron Units (300,000 MP)
Level-Up Time: 3,840 minutes (2,304,000 MP)
Description: A gigantic metal coil-like structure with the unique ability to condense the mana in the atmosphere and release it in a burst of energy against enemies. The coils built in the guildhall of Mount Olympus use the element of their patron deity, the thunderbolt.

At the point we'd upgraded the guild core to level five, I'd thought that spending MP on defensive buildings would be a waste since we weren't under attack, and that I would be able to build them instantly if an enemy was spotted coming toward us. However, after the conversation we'd had as a guild on the way back from Niflheim, I could now see the additional benefits of having them built and upgraded.
Not only did they act as a deterrent to our enemies but they also made our citizens feel safer. And there was no better time to build and upgrade them all than now. I purchased the required materials and placed the two missing ones after starting the upgrade of the initial two.
It would be roughly three days before these projects were also maxed out, leaving only a few others in my to do list. The warmage academy was already at level four since it only unlocked when we upgraded the guild core to that level. However, I hadn't touched it since then and I guessed that now that we had a headmaster to run it--as well as able tutors who had upgraded their classes--it was about time we upgraded it.

Name: Warmage Academy
Level: 4
Level-Up Requirement: Settlement Level 5 (Met)
Level-Up Cost: 8,000x Lumber Units (80,000 MP)
Level-Up Time: 4,800 minutes (2,880,000 MP)
Description: The place to be for magic users. The warmage academy isn't just focused on offensive magic but is rather a meeting place for all magic paths, including healing and buffing. Spellcasters that train and study in this academy gain an 8% increase in Magic Attack and Casting Speed.

The academy would be ready in less than four days and the cost was low considering the additional bonus it would provide to our spellcasters.
I yawned and decided I should probably start walking back home soon, though I didn't really want to go to bed before taking care of everything. After sixteen hours of almost non-stop XPing, I felt like I could just faint on the soft grass and sleep for days, but the excitement of growing our city was enough to keep me awake. I started a slow walk back to the mansion, but continued to look through the list in the meantime.
The next items were the academics and research institution and the intelligence agency, which were both level five by now. The first had just been upgraded while the latter had been unlocked at level five already. That only left one project from the list of the normal guild buildings.
* * *
Name: Sky Harbor
Resources Needed: 18,000x Lumber Units (180,000 MP)
6,000x Aluminum Units (60,000 MP)
100,000,000 MP
Construction Time: 1,920 minutes (1,152,000 MP)
Description: A floating harbor that can hold up to 4 flying ships. The dock and a building for processing flying vessels are permanently enchanted to float a constant distance above the surface the harbor is bound to. Individuals can access the harbor by any non-magical means that connect it to the ground.

Since we were now planning to create a flying vessel, even though it wasn't going to be ship, it made sense to at least have a harbor for it. The cost in materials was quite low, but there was no way around the one hundred million MP required in addition to them. That massive amount of mana was probably going into ensuring that the sky harbor would float permanently, and I knew we would have to pay it at some point anyway.
I took a deep breath and spent the mana, sending the resources to the west side of the city, right next to the lumberyard, mining camp, and blacksmith's workshop. I selected the space above them as the sky harbor's position, as the area by the cliffs would probably be the best position for easy loading and off-loading if we used airships for trade.
The outline of the harbor appeared on the ground, which made me think that it would probably be assembled down there over the next two days and then the mana would kick in and raise it up into the sky. Of all the upcoming upgrades and buildings, this was the one I was most looking forward to seeing completed. Who wouldn't want a fleet of airships to conduct trade without needing to follow trade routes, roads, and the vices of the sea? Who wouldn't want to soar through the skies?
