Morgan, You’re Not Acting Right!

Chapter 153: Why Are These Two So Shameless?

"Then what exactly are you envious of?"

Morgan pressed the Fairy Morgan further, wearing an expression that said she already knew everything but still wanted to hear it from the other's mouth making her look like a complete sadist.

[Thank goodness my wife isn't a man, or else she'd definitely be the type of 'training master' who strips girls naked and then makes them beg for it. Learned something new today.]

Morgan shot a glance at Lot.

Obviously, I've always been the dominant one.

If it weren't for the sheer difference in physical strength between us, do you really think I'd act so delicate?

This damn husband of hers after picking up the Holy Sword and donning the Sun Armor, his already-decent physique just keeps improving. He was already insatiable enough as it was, and now he's getting even stronger.

And he only has eyes for me.

Isn't that just asking for trouble?

I once heard some noblewomen at court say that the reason women have their monthly cycles is to give men a few days of rest.

At the time, I thought it made perfect sense.

So how come I've never felt that way?

Seems more like it's just to give me a few days of rest.

Ugh, why is it that even though both of us are growing stronger, this husband of hers keeps piling all his upgrades into stamina?

Fairy Morgan, unaware of Morgan's internal rant, bit her lip and reluctantly admitted, "I envy you for having such a wonderful husband."

Hearing this, Morgan's face immediately brightened with delight.

Even though she'd already known, it was still gratifying to hear.

When you've got something good and, more importantly, something no one can steal of course you'd want to flaunt it to the world.

Especially when that "something" was her own husband.

And especially when the one she was flaunting it to wasn't just anyone this Fairy Morgan was, in a way, a version of herself from another timeline.

It wasn't just her who was pleased, either. Lot, standing nearby, was also quite happy.

He already knew he was better than the historical King Lot, but hearing someone who knew both versions give him such high praise? That was just extra satisfying.

No wonder those ancient emperors loved keeping sycophants around.

You need chancellors to govern, generals to defend the borders but without a few bootlickers, life just wouldn't be as comfortable.

The problem with sycophants isn't their existence it's misusing them.

Watching the couple's self-satisfied expressions, Fairy Morgan was utterly speechless.

She could swear on her life that the Morgans and Lots from other worlds would never be this shameless.

How did these two end up so utterly without shame?

Fairy Morgan was now deeply questioning whether her memories were faulty maybe this was all a delusion, and she'd never actually had the memories of the Lostbelt Morgan at all.

Shaking her head, she forcibly pushed the terrifying thought aside and quickly interjected:

"Morgan, Morgan alright, enough with those looks. We should focus on what to do next. No matter what, the enemies we're facing now must be completely eradicated."

First, drive those bastards out. Then they could deal with everything else.

"To deal with them, should we just take advantage of the chaos while they're fighting the Orkney defenders and Bedivere's forces to launch a sneak attack?"

For this kind of operation, Lot instinctively proposed his usual method.

Stabbing them in the back mid-battle this tactic was something Lot had honed to perfection.

He'd almost never failed with it.

Well, "almost" because the one time he did fail was with Morgan.

Still hasn't succeeded to this day.

Little Lot is quite melancholic about it!

"Will that still work? Wouldn't they catch on?" Morgan had some doubts.

Sneak attacks were fine once or twice, but if overused, how could the enemy not notice?

Past successes were mostly due to the enemy being unprepared. If they were on guard, the chances of pulling it off wouldn't be high.

This time, the fairies probably wouldn't fall for it so easily.

Fairies especially those of the Wing Clan were more than capable of serving as scouts.

If they were watching the rear, even if Lot and the others tried to ambush from behind, they'd spot them early and prepare accordingly.

Morgan then suggested:

"Then what about trying out those new weapons? Didn't you make some improvements later?"

Not exactly new weapons, but formations that, when used in tandem, proved quite effective in battle.

Lot's later addition was a long spear with multiple forked, horizontal blades at the tip.

What can you do? Britain doesn't grow bamboo.

Later, Lot even "invented" a name for this formation the Mandarin Duck Formation.

Since General Qi wouldn't be born for another thousand years, it's not like he could sue for plagiarism.

Lot could afford to be shameless about it.

And after these modifications, it worked very well against the Fang Clan fairies.

As for the Earth Clan trying to attack Lot?

Even easier. Just toss a net over them from above, like covering potatoes round them all up in one go.

Fairy Morgan objected:

"But the problem is, this time it's not just the Fang and Earth Clans. What about the others? The Wing Clan, the Mirror Clan, etc. they'd definitely use magecraft to counter these tactics."

Morgan and Fairy Morgan stared at each other, mirroring one another's frustration, neither able to come up with a solution.

Then, Lot spoke up with an idea.

"Hey, I've got a question for you."

"What is it?"

"Are you fairies all united? Are the six great clans really all on the same page?"

"Of course not. For example, the Rain Clan supports me and wants peace for the land. The Earth Clan seems to have been deceived. As for the Fang and Wind Clans, the conflict between them runs deep. And besides the six great clans, there are plenty of other fairies like Baobhan Sith who don't exactly obey the rule of the major clans either."

"Wait Lot, are you suggesting…?"

Even without reading his mind, Morgan caught on to Lot's train of thought.

"Exactly. If we want to defeat the enemy while minimizing our own losses, the best way is to make them fight each other."

Lot affirmed his wife's realization.
