Monster Under the Bed

Today was Sally’s seventeenth birthday, and she was careful jumping into bed. She caught the box as she landed. Her smile glowed as she opened her final present from Und. This was the final piece.

“Thank you, Und. This necklace is gorgeous,” Sally said to the dark room.

“Your welcome, Sally.” Came Und’s deep voice.

“One more year.”

“Yes, one more year.”

Sally nestled in the center of her bed and said, “Goodnight, Und.”
