Chapter 108: The Strange Source of the Information
Dace·Dracula coldly spoke, "You don't need to try to stir up conflict between me and my clan anymore. You're definitely going to die soon."
With her words, she stared at Sivis.
The female Blood Clan member saw that her thin lips slowly spoke out a few more words.
"The Tongus Incident—why did your people disappear? That forced the Blood Cataclysm to be pushed forward to next year."
"In the Wickenstein Ruins, why did your subordinates find nothing, and also triggered a trap that destroyed the ruins? This was a rare opportunity for the Blood Clan to get their hands on the "zombie technology" under the command of the Necromancer God."
"Due to your faction of the Blood Clan, all the original benefits were completely lost."
"Then, in the incident of the Blood Sea shipwreck, it seemed like your family was also involved in an embarrassing role again."
"All of this—don't you think it's enough for you to be seen as a dangerous traitor in front of the elders?"
"Dace·Dracula, haven't you ever thought about why all these bad things keep happening to you?"
"All the huge losses the Blood Clan has suffered for hundreds of years can all be traced back to the problems of your bloodline. Maybe you've just lived too long and your brain has turned to mush?"
"One of these things on its own could just be seen as poor performance, but when you add them all together, they'd be enough to trigger the judgment rules in the Black Treaty, right?"
Sivis spoke slowly, each word hitting Dace·Dracula's heart like a heavy hammer, making her face even paler.
She was just a phantom made of spiritual energy, but she still couldn't help stepping back. "How is this possible? Are all these things a trap? No, it can't be. Why would they go so far to harm me?"
With each new accusation, Dace·Dracula, who had already been somewhat convinced by Sivis's words, felt a deepening sense of dread. The Black Treaty was something that wasn't known by just anyone.
She also had this strange feeling that what the young man before her was saying was true. That she was really being targeted by the elders of her clan, maybe even planned for centuries.
Dace·Dracula was calculating in her mind.
"The judgment laws in the Black Treaty state."
"When judgment is triggered, the content of the judgment is sent to us Divines who are in slumber."
"Normally, if the elders conspired together to kill one of their own through a vote, it would be meaningless, because the Divine would find out the truth."
"Throughout history, no one in the Blood Clan has ever been punished by judgment."
But...
Dace·Dracula was recalling the information Sivis had just given her, and slowly starting to understand.
In daily life, the elders fought fiercely for power, but none of them had ever worried about being killed or judged by their own clan.
She was no different.
But the problems caused by her bloodline to the entire Blood Clan, combined with the fact that in the past few centuries, she'd never managed to bring any benefit to the Blood Clan during any major event or mission—
Even if the Divine found out about her judgment, they might just agree to it.
Dace·Dracula turned pale instantly. "This... this can't be true. Are these all not just coincidences?"
She muttered to herself, but deep down, she already had the answer.
She looked at Sivis, full of confusion and chaos in her mind.
Dace·Dracula was very clear that this boy in front of her wasn't just talking nonsense. Every single thing he said hit her right in the core, and some of the details were only known to her, as the leader of her bloodline, and to the other elders of the Blood Clan.
Unless Sivis was an imposter disguised as another elder, he wouldn't have known about the Black Treaty or these secrets.
But if he really was an imposter, then why would he tell her all of this?
After all, if it were not for the combined efforts of almost all the elders, she wouldn't have made so many mistakes over the past few centuries, nor would she have stayed blind to them, letting herself be lulled into complacency.
How could Sivis suddenly come out to warn her?
Even if he was an imposter for one of the elders, he wouldn't have bet his life on switching sides at this crucial moment.
Unless more than half of the elders in the council had suddenly turned in her favor, the others could still vote to trigger the judgment and send the judgment content to the God of the Blood Sea.
Once the judgment was approved, the God of the Blood Sea would use the power within her blood to burn her to ashes and reclaim all of her life essence!
This wasn't something one elder's warning could change.
If Sivis really was an elder, then betraying her at this moment to help her was an act of complete stupidity!
Didn't he know that he might be the next one to be set up and judged in the future?
The only explanation was that Sivis had absolutely nothing to do with their Blood Clan.
He had no intention of warning Dace·Dracula at all.
But...
Today, Dace·Dracula had a sudden urge to check on her subordinates, curious about why they were so troubled over retrieving a simple Blood Shackles. She had no idea that this curiosity would open a huge door to a secret.
"Was it my luck that I came across this mysterious being, who told me about an upcoming disaster?"
Dace·Dracula swallowed hard. For some reason, she suddenly became calm again. "Good, human. I'm very interested in the topic you've brought up."
"Thank you for telling me all this. But our clan is very united. No matter where you got this information from, it's just your wrong assumptions." Dace·Dracula said half-jokingly, half-seriously.
"Still… our family hasn't really contributed much to the clan for centuries."
"It's time for me to take care of something."
On one hand, she didn't really want to believe that the Blood Clan, which was known for its cooperation and loyalty, had become like this!
"Because I had great potential and was on track to take the throne that had been empty for so long, did I have to be targeted so much?"
Dace·Dracula's rational side believed that Sivis was probably telling the truth, but her emotional side couldn't accept it.
She didn't want to show the pain and sorrow of being betrayed by someone she didn't trust in front of this small human, so she forced herself to argue.
Sivis, however, coldly laughed: "Is that so? Then have you ever thought about why all the problems always came from your family?"
"Nikat, Milleshel, Vestin, Tarr… Oh, these people are all well-known loyal warriors under your command."
"Just I don't know why, but they once had contact with the elders of the Blood Thorn clan. Some of them even joined the famous assassin organization 'The Gardener,' and others mysteriously obtained dozens of Holy Blood, using it to break through to the half-diamond rank."
"Although they were loyal, they all had secrets on them."
Sivis spoke casually. After breaking through to Extraordinary, he could almost perfectly recall all the game settings and storylines from his past lives.
These small stories about Dace·Dracula's subordinates in the Blood Clan were all collected by players in the past, who had repeatedly cleared various dungeons, found broken information, and then compiled them on forums.
They had basically figured out how this future queen of the Blood Clan had been betrayed step by step, eventually ending up with her alone suppressing the whole race and becoming a legend.
But...
In the game, Dace·Dracula had such a long storyline precisely because she had created countless miracles in her pursuit of victory.
These miracles were even unimaginable by the female Blood Clan standing right in front of him now.
At this moment, Dace·Dracula's situation within the Blood Clan had completely collapsed. She had absolutely no idea how to handle it.
Sivis watched the woman in front of him—her expression changed from forced calm at first, to emotional breakdown, then to a pale face, and finally to a full-body tremble.
"You... you're what kind of person? Why are you telling me all this?" Dace·Dracula was completely lost for words now.
In her eyes, this human boy in front of her—
No, he definitely wasn't human.
He was probably a terrifying being related to some Divine power.
Everything he knew couldn't be explained by having some kind of intelligence channel.
Sivis had already thrown the key evidence of her entire race betraying her in her face—there was a traitor within her clan, and these traitors had clearly been in contact with other elders and had taken bribes.
This whole chain of logic was now complete.
If this continued, she would definitely be sent to the judgment chamber.
Dace·Dracula couldn't possibly believe that this seemingly human stranger was lying to her!
What would be the benefit of provoking her relationship with her clan for someone like this?
Once these things were investigated, the truth would be clear. For humans, uncovering the traitor might take one or two years, which was a long time.
But for the Blood Clan, with almost immortal lifespans, such a period was just a blink of an eye.
Dace·Dracula could only conclude that everything this person said was the truth!
But why was he telling her all of this?
Even if this person had an intelligence channel to get this information, normal intelligence agencies would have paid a huge price to obtain it.
And yet, he was telling it to her without holding anything back, as if these important secrets had no value to him at all!!
How is this possible?
It makes absolutely no sense!
Our Blood Clan has a reputation, how could there be an opportunity to get intelligence for free?
Dace·Dracula knew far less information than Sivis, but she still guessed a little—
These secrets really had no value to Sivis at all.
He might be in control of countless powerful people across the world, even major secrets of various Divines.
The information about Dace·Dracula's inevitable death was truly insignificant to Sivis.
But this insignificant thing, when thrown out at the critical moment, could become a bomb that exploded the entire situation.
