Monster Lord: The Goblin Offers the Saintess to Me at the Start

Chapter 100: The Terrifying Loyalty

The commoners exchanged glances and had their answers in their hearts.

Did the lord know what was the most terrifying part of this blood plague, and did he have a way to solve it?

He had even specifically informed them, telling them to stay calm.

What else was there to be afraid of?

The members of the Knight Order were shocked to see an extremely weird scene before them.

The commoners, who should have been extremely terrified, had somehow been stirred up by their words and now seemed to have found some courage.

"God damn it, they're all crazy! That Sivis must be some kind of brainwashing devil, twisting their wills. I'd say he's probably even brainwashed Vikalina!"

"This demon! I'm going to apply to the Inquisition to have him captured and forced to confess his crimes!" Numerous members of the Knight Order shouted with fierce expressions.

The clerics behind them frowned slightly but said nothing.

In their eyes, it was just the Knight Order members being bitter about old grudges, hating that little nobleman called Sivis. If they could escape, they could use their family's power to eliminate a minor noble...

The clerics didn't think it was a big deal — after all, he was just a little ant. Why would they need a reason to kill him?

If he made them angry, that was enough.

But, there was no need to fight with the commoners now and waste time escaping. What should they do?

The members of the Knight Order kept cursing, and in their eyes, Sivis had already turned into a devil, a liar, and a fraud!

But they didn't notice that the commoners, who had gradually broken free from their fear, as well as Vikalina, now had expressions that were a bit dark.

"Shut up! If anyone says another bad word about Lord Sivis, I'll kill you!" A hot-tempered man suddenly roared.

But his voice was quickly drowned out, and his body was pulled into the crowd.

"Who said that?" The members of the Knight Order immediately exploded with anger.

Their anger had no effect. Occasionally, voices still came from among the crowd: "The Church scum, all of you should die! You charge high taxes every day, and when the time comes, you just abandon us. What's the point of your existence?"

"How could they insult Lord Sivis? That's the real scum who should go to hell!"

A string of curses made the members of the Knight Order and the clerics behind them feel completely humiliated.

The commoners had also figured it out.

They believed that Sivis would do everything possible to protect them — that was the lord's promise.

But they also knew that, even with Sivis, the lord, the blood plague could not protect everyone.

If they were already about to die, what was there to fear from the Church scum?

Just curse them!

They didn't dare to face them directly. They just whispered in the crowd and quickly moved to another spot.

For a moment, the members of the Knight Order and the clerics couldn't figure out who was speaking.

The church officials' expressions grew even darker. They couldn't believe what they were seeing — these commoners were actually daring to shout at them, these "important people," all because of Sivis.

Were they insane? Normally, the knights would force the commoners to hand over whoever was insulting them, or else they would slaughter them all.

After all, that was always the same line of thinking: if everyone was dead, no one would know they had broken the church's teachings and committed crimes.

But now, even though it was night, the area was very bright.

Not only were there the lights that Sivis had lit, but there was also a bright, full moon in the sky. Under that moon, some strange magic was surging, and in the distance, the sharp, piercing screams of Blood Servants echoed.

The members of the Knight Order understood that getting involved with these people now might cost them their lives.

The silver-rank cleric shot a sharp look at Vikalina: "We're leaving. We'll take the route through your factory to the eastern gate. No objections?"

He didn't dare waste any more time.

And Vikalina's attitude didn't need to be explained.

She watched the commoners attack them with words, which already showed her stance.

Vikalina placed one hand on the hilt of the knight's spear, staring intently at the group. Finally, she nodded silently: "I'll be watching you as you pass."

"If anyone tries anything, I'll risk my life to keep you here!" Her expression was cold and emotionless. It was that very calmness that made the Knight Order and the clerics realize she was serious.

The group's presence suddenly felt weaker. Even if they were stupid, they knew that, regardless of whether the cleric could beat Vikalina with the help of the others — as a Spear of Holy Flame heir, the female knight's fighting power was far above her rank. Even if they could win, they wouldn't dare to fight!

If they got injured now, the chance of breaking through would drop significantly.

Going out through the eastern gate, at least the area had been patrolled by Vikalina earlier, so there would be fewer Blood Servants around. They still had a chance to escape.

In the strange atmosphere, Vikalina led the commoners to clear a path.

The Knight Order members escorted the clerics through the entire factory compound.

As they had already covered half the distance, the knight Sylar who had been turned into a Blood Servant became desperate.

He couldn't let things end like this!

But Sylar couldn't defy the majority of his companions, especially not the decision of the silver-rank cleric.

As the group was about to leave the factory compound and prepare to break through.

Sylar's eyes turned dark. He knew that as long as he was there, they would never escape successfully. He would make sure to ambush them and leave them all in Minnet City.

The problem was, if he followed the group out, he would lose the chance to assassinate Sivis and reclaim the Blood Shackles.

Sylar quickly came up with a plan. He glared at Vikalina and the crowd, making a throat-cutting gesture with his hand: "Don't worry, once we leave, we'll 'thank' that Sivis properly!"

"If he manages to leave this city alive, the Inquisition has plenty of suitable torture devices for him. Should I put him in the Iron Maiden and drain his blood with countless spikes, or drop him into a pool of strong acid? I'll definitely invite you, Vikalina, to witness it."

"By the way, if you lowborn scum survive, I'll break your limbs, pull out your teeth, and chain you to Sivis' side, letting you watch this devil who has bewitched people first confess his blasphemy against the Divine, then admit his crimes!"

He said this while gritting his teeth, and with a twisted expression, he ran his tongue along his lips, as if already lost in the brutal scene of his fantasy.

Huh?

For a moment, everyone was stunned.

No one knew what Sylar was going crazy about.

Vikalina silently cursed to herself.

The Knight Order members and the clerics beside her stared at Sylar like he was crazy. "What the hell are you doing, Sylar? Are you insane? What the hell are you talking about?"

"We can't let them go. Kill them! Otherwise, Lord Sivis will definitely be in trouble! Hold them back!"

The commoners in the factory were completely consumed by anger.

They didn't understand how much of a gap there was between people with power and ordinary people.

One by one, they quickly grabbed simple homemade weapons and rushed forward. "Kill him! Attack! They all have to die!" In an instant, a riot broke out!

Sylar saw this and laughed coldly inside. "Good, good. That's exactly what I want. The bigger the mess, the better. Sivis, you should come out now. Vikalina, you'll have to stop them, too. This is my chance!"

The commoners were completely lost in their rage.

Under the pressure of survival, their only hope, their only trust, was the lord who had given them a good life, dignity, and promised to protect them.

If Sivis checked the loyalty panel right now, he would find that these newly recruited subjects all had loyalty levels above 90!

No worse than those who had once had no choice but to join his territory.

As long as Sivis gave the word, they would be ready to accept that their master was a Monster Lord.

The commoners felt Sivis had been insulted, and they couldn't bear the thought of him suffering because of these Knight Order members escaping.

As subjects, they had received protection and work from their lord. Now, what they had to do was one thing only: give their lives for Lord Sivis and remove his suffering!

Seeing the commoners approaching, the members of the Knight Order and the clerics looked grim and gripped their weapons tightly. "What are you doing? Are you insane?"

If it was just killing a single commoner, they probably wouldn't feel too bad about it. But killing a whole group of commoners — after all, they had been raised in the Church, and they weren't yet as bloodthirsty as Blood Servants...

For a moment, they hesitated and didn't rush into action.

Sylar, the Blood Servant, even frowned. He hadn't expected such a big commotion, yet Sivis still hadn't shown up.

"Don't come any closer, or I'll attack!"

He heard the terrified shouts of his fellow Knight Order members beside him, and a flicker of contempt flashed through his mind, but he still grabbed his weapon.

"Since that's the case, I'll just add a little more fuel to the fire, Sivis! If the Knight Order members go on a crazy rampage and kill your workers, I don't believe you can stay so calm!"

Just as Sylar was about to strike, he suddenly heard a furious shout: "Stop!"

Then, with a "swish," a powerful explosion rang out, and a knight's spear had already been plunged in front of the crowd of commoners and the Knight Order members!

A fierce gust of wind spread out in all directions!

It was Vikalina who had acted!

The shockwave and tremor from the spear being driven into the ground knocked everyone nearby to the ground.

The commoners didn't suffer much injury—just a few of them were blown over and rolled on the ground, then got up with messy hair and dust on their faces.

But the Knight Order members were directly injured by the blast. Many of them dropped their weapons with a clatter.

After these people got up, they looked at the energy surging inside the spear and gradually became calm...
