Chapter 4025: When Did You?
Chapter 4025: When Did You?
"It was a good battle," she said and waved her hand. Pulling all the fire covering me. The move looked amazing. Quite flashy.
"It hasn't even ended yet," I replied, and the smile on her face brightened further.
"Oh, it did," she replied, with a voice brimming with confidence.
"An how?" I asked, with the confusion all over my face.
Hun!
"Try moving," she said, and I did, but I couldn't.
My eyes widened and a moment later, I saw purple ribbons wrapped around me, with only my face visible.
"How?" I asked in shock.
"Now, that would be telling you a secret," she replied, while my expressions turned serious, with fear sparking in them.
"Are you going to kill me?" I asked, with my voice faintly shaking in fear.
"No, I am not going to kill you, but since I revealed my secret to you. You will have to tell me yours," she replied before her expression became serious.
"How did you make your armor so strong?" she asked.
"That's not a fair trade," I replied, with fear vanishing from my eyes and a confident smile appearing on my scared face.
"It would be like asking for gold of the same weight in exchange for scrap iron," I added.
The insult hit her hard and anger flashed in her eyes, but she controlled it.
"You understand that my ribbons tied you right?" she asked, and I smiled.
"No," I replied and immediately they were shredded into pieces while she watched in shock. Of course, I knew about the ribbons; I am aware of everything in my range, no matter how small it is. These ribbons tied me because I wanted them to tie me.
"Using those fiery swords to weave these ribbons is really good, but you need to lower their signature, by at least 30% or it would be a plaything against the weakling,"
"It would never be able to bind those who are more powerful than you," I replied.
"How do you do that?" she asked after a few seconds of silence.
"Try moving," I replied to her.
She hesitated for a moment, but did when a shock appeared in her eyes. She couldn't move, not even twitch.
"See, no signature. At least low enough that you can't sense it. You have to achieve at least one thing, if you want to make those ribbons truly powerful move," I said.
"When did you?" she asked. I didn't reply to that; it might break her.
I didn't plan to use the strings initially, but seeing her ribbons appearing around me. I decided to show off my own abilities.
She is the best, I have seen in the binding, and I want to show her what best is.
There is no forbidden power in those strings. I even counterbalanced the forbidden power, which exists naturally in every speck of my energy.
I started with the forbidden power and wasn't able to do it without it for years.
However, with my mastery of ancient runes, increasing. I started to try it without forbidden power and this year, I have seen the result.
It is far from perfect and has many flaws, but I am making progress.
Things are becoming dangerous for me. To reduce the risk, I have started to reduce forbidden power in my practice.
My goal is to use only the one naturally present in me.
Which is really hard to detect. It could be said near impossible; even Prime wouldn't be able to discover it, even if they looked deeply.
I am not doing this with my strings alone, but also with every other attack of mine.
The closer, I get to prime. The more dangerous things would become. It is people of these levels who have tools and things that detect the forbidden power.
I don't want to accidentally light it up with the warning.
It's slow progress, but I am taking small steps and have complete confidence to succeed in it, till I reach the Prime.
"It was a good battle, I hope, we will meet again," I said to her and waved before flying away. She seemed like, she wanted to say something but didn't. She seemed to understand that I wouldn't stop and thus didn't try.
It was a good battle; I hoped it would have lasted a little more, but I am happy with the time, it had lasted.
Soon, I had gone far enough that I couldn't even sense her. One of the people sneakily watched, and tried to tail me, but gave up in a second.
"I would have fought him, but he was weak. That it wouldn't have been worth it.
I flew through the sky at midnight sky. My speed is quite fast; that even those who want to chase me can't catch up to me.
A few had tried but gave up within a second to a minute.
It is hard to move fast in this environment when this powerful realm of energy tries to eat
every bit of energy. Including the one, that their armor is made of.
The faster they go, the greater the effect of the realm's energy would be.
It's not like, I didn't feel it. I do, but the effect on me is much less than on others.
Soon, it was near dawn, when I landed and took out my abode. I directly went to the practice room and practiced both of my methods, before showering and sleeping.
Usually, I stopped at night, but I didn't last night.
In the day, I will have to move to the ground. So, I decided to fly in the night; It's much safer
and also faster.
I could cover many times distances in the same night, compared to the day.
I slept after the shower and woke up three hours later.
I ate the breakfast my clone had made and entered my core for the class.
Step!
In the afternoon, I stepped out of my abode and continued with my journey, repeating the same thing, the next day.
