Monarchs Legacy

A few months have passed since th entrance exam and of the 3000 hopefuls a mere 300 passed and now find themselves settling into their assigned dorms

"This is gonna be an adjustment" Blaze face scowls as he stands in the doorway of his dorm room he'd rather be outdoors in the woods or a cave then in such an enclosed space as this room "hopefully my roommates are decent".

With time to burn Blaze sets out and explores the academy, the Academy itself is located in a valley surrounded on all sides by a mountain range just a couple hours north of the Royal Capitol and from the looks of place from the buildings and the outer walls the Academy itself must have been a Bastion at one point though now it has been severely altered. After exploring few hours he has pretty much mapped out the entire academy in his head.

The Academy campus is comprised of traditional and virtual training grounds, an observatory, a dozen places to eat as impressive as those might have been none of those are what truly stood out at least as far as Blaze is concerned, No what had truly caught Blaze's wasn't any of those nor was it the smitheries it was a market square currently empty except for the booths lining the square this itself is what truly piqued his interest his imagination running rampage over the sight.

Departing from the empty market he heads towards the gates of the Bastion with the intent of exploring the Mountain Range as he approaches he notices the guards preventing others from leaving.

Blaze clicks his tongue "tch, is this an academy or a prison" he looks around planning his next move when I smirk from on his face for a brief moment.

If the first years or anyone at the academy where to look up in the sky they'd have seen what they would think is a random dragon flying around the mountain range in the distance but the reality is it was Blaze in his dragon form 'wonder how those other first years would react if they could see me right now' in his mind Blaze find amusement at the thought of them throwing a fit.

He dives down and land in a spot a perfect view of the entire academy as he lands he slowly changes back into his human form, his massive body reverts back to a small human form, his front legs back to arms his back legs into human legs, his scales slowly sink back under his flesh. Most dragons have a single color scales, if lucky they have 2 different colors but in Blaze's case each scale was a perfect blend of Red and Black, and on his right shoulder was several gold scales that formed an insignia and as those gold scales sink back into his flesh that same insignia remains on his flesh not a tattoo but not quite a birthmark either not in the tradition sense.

Where Blaze stands on the mountain range gives him a near perfect view, from this vantage point you can clearly see the whole of the former Bastion from the castle citadels and spires that make up the academy to the 3 layers of hexagonal ramparts that encircle the academy from the inner wall to the outer wall is 360 ft and smack in the middle is the center rampart, 3 gates one after the other are the sole entrance into the academy campus the road outside leading through a narrow mountain passage the sole access point and in out of this valley.

"This is gonna be fun" Blaze says smugly a mischievous smirk briefly appearing on his face for just a moment before he leaps off his 'perch' and transforming into a Fenrir quickly making his decent down the mountain ranger back to the Academy.
