"I challenge you to a duel and when you lose you'll give up on attending our prestigious academy" the arrogant boy declares.

Blaze looks at the boy as wondering if he's got a few screw loses or if he's just a complete imbecile then smirks "why would I agree to that I have one exam left a swordsmanship exam where I'd be paired against an elite soldier of the kingdom or a high ranked adventure so I have no reason to accept…. Unless you make it worth my time, so let's make it when I win you'll owe me a favor that I can collect on whenever I please no matter what"

The boy annoyed that Blaze would make such a proposal retorts "Why would I agree to that I have no reason to make such an agreement with slime like you, I'm…"

"Scared" Blaze interrupts the boy "that's what you were gonna say right… that you're scared"

Blaze knows exactly how to get under this boys skin and it's working flawlessly "fine it's a deal not like you can win anyways" the boy retorts.

"Ok then so we can have the duel after our final practical then…." Blaze intends to finish his exam first as he honestly views this boy as nothing more than a joke who isn't worth his time.

"Oh no we're doing it now" the boy exclaims

"Fine but first maybe you should introduce yourself" Blaze says nonchalantly

The boy proud to show off his superiority introduces himself "Fine… I'm Francis Michelle von Kurt, son of…"

Blaze snickers before falling on the ground dying of laughter "I can't I don't know what's more embarrassing that you're name is Francis or that you're middle name is Michelle, so do I call you mam" Blaze just can't help but poke fun after all the boys name makes it too easy.

"You vile uncivilized worm how dare you mock me" the boy loses his temper

"Sorry sorry your name is just too funny btw your calling me uncivilized when you're the one launching insults and name calling, it's really unbecoming" Blaze apologizes… sort of "you can just call me Blaze".

The duel is moments away from beginning the swordsmanship proctor decided to be the referee for the duel "the rules or as follow, no magic allowed of any type, no using a second weapon, no skils either, if you're weapon breaks you lose, if youre seriously hurt you use, if you use a fatal attack you're disqualified, is that understood"

Both Blaze and Francis nod and the duel begins, Francis attacks aggressively from the very beginning while Blaze nonchalantly parries or avoids the attack almost as if he's toying with the young son of a nobleman. "Boring is this really the best a nobleman's son can do and here I though I'd get a workout" Blaze intentionally antagonizes his opponent after all the ref never said they couldn't manipulate their opponent nor were they forbidden from cheap tricks and Blaze was gonna take full advantage of that fact.

"So that girl earlier that's you're sister right, or is it your brother bet she has a boys name for her middle name probably tougher than you too" Blaze is relentless with getting under Francis' skin there's not a line he won't cross mainly cause he doesn't like this kid but also cause he wants to teach this entitled brat a lesson,

"You… I'm gonna kill you" Francis is pissed and the angrier he gets the sloppier he gets until Blaze has not only disarmed him but knocked him on his ass with his foot to the boy's groin his sword to the boy's throat.

"You lose!" Blaze declares and the ref agrees while the ref compliments Blaze for getting under his opponents skin as well as his ability to know when to parry and when to dodge Francis however is not happy and refuses to admit defeat.

Watching the fight from above is a Dragonkin and a wolfkin, to the academy they're the top 2 third years and best friend but to each other they're twins and Blaze's older brothers "This won't end well at all" one of the twins says
