Chapter 2: Hinata & Hina Sensei!

Tachibana Hina & Tachibana Hinata.

Both of them are beauties in their own way.

Additionally, the fact that their family names are similar made Junta a little spooky, but since he had made the decision to play it with this system, he began to focus on the girl who was standing with her friends.

However, he was unable to comprehend the system's origin, so he chose to sit and consider his strategy instead of dwelling on it too much.

Though! He is not much of a socialist; he had no confidence in going and just making a greeting, given Hinata is really the popular one in his class.

Plus, even if he planned to work with this system, he had no plan on making it hard on himself. So, going out and just greeting don't work out for his personality.

'Hmm...' Junta suddenly looked down on his book.

Maybe it was because he was staring for quite long.

Hinata might have felt his gaze and just turned her head toward his side, making him a bit startled as he avoided her gaze by looking inside his notes.

'Shit! I have to be a bit careful. I can't just leave a bad impression like this.' He thought while sweating a bit at the close call.

'I hope she did not think much about it.' While muttering so, he looked back again to find her staring at his gaze, and with the same smile she greeted him with a nod.

[Radiates optimism and warmth—her unyielding belief in others is her most endearing trait.]

Looking at that. Remembering this girl's traits from the system, Junta concluded that she was not such a bad choice and that, from a romantic perspective, Hinata Tachibana is certainly a heroine character that anyone would want to date.

"Katagiri-kun, right?" And before he realized that she was already seated on the chair in front of his bench, in front of his seat.

"Nah! I was just wondering how you are able to make friends this quickly." Although Katagiri was a reclusive type, he was still an experienced person and a reincarnator on top of that.

So, even having girl talk with him for the first time, he did not seem to be that flustered like any guy would and talked with the same calm tone.

"Hehe! What with that comment." She smiled at it. Finding Junta's comment to be quite funny and all, though the guy himself did not think it was that funny from his point of view.

"Sorry! If my gaze bothered you."

"No, it's alright. It did not bother me."

"I think you can too! Make friends. Katagiri. I'll call you by your name."

"Sure! I'll also call Tachibana from now on."

"Hmm!"

After speaking with the girl for a short while, Junta discovered that, despite the fact that she was still quite young, he liked her personality and, for some reason, did not mind being friends with her.

'What were you talking about with that gloomy guy?' Hinata's friend asked.

'Hmm. Katagiri-kun, I don't think he is that gloomy. But I found him quite the joking type. Though he is a bit of the shy type, I think.' Hinata replied with a confirmed tone.

Although it only made them doubt him more.

But they did not go against the notion, and seemingly, Junta's status among the girls changed a bit within the class.

Though the guy himself did not like to be at the centre of attention and left the class for some lunch.

'If you say so. Hmm, he is gone.'

'Eh! Really. I guess he should have gone for the canteen.' Hinata muttered. Where Junta got a notification startling him a bit.

[Skill: Unyielding Courage: Level 0.]

[Each progress in the relationship will level it up.]

[Each progress in the relationship will level it up.]

'Wow! How game-like,' Junta muttered, looking at the silver bracelet that appeared for a moment before vanishing from his vision.

In addition to that, he experienced a strange sensation in his chest that warmed up like a tiny torch inside his consciousness, making him feel a little more comfortable approaching Tachibana Hinata and maybe dating her at a later period.

And when he thought about the girl even a little, his skill [Unyielding Courage] started to work on its own, improving his mood.

'Is this even real?' The emotional change took Junta by surprise. As he started to realize how this weird screen might be a very big deal.

And looking at the rush of the students at the canteen, he decided to wait a bit, and after buying, decided to go and eat at the rooftop today, as he did not want to eat while being looked at by Hinata's friends from the class, though that is if they were still there.

'So why take the chance! And just looking at the nice weather, I found it better to have lunch on the rooftop, given I still had a lot of time.' With that in mind, he left for the rooftop, never thinking what was about to come.

At the rooftop...

Tachibana Hina, who appeared to be very professional, gazed off into the distance with a slightly perplexed expression on her face, but her emotions were racing as she thought about the call she had just received and was becoming increasingly uneasy.

As her thoughts became increasingly erratic, she experienced a feeling similar to a slow poisoning, and she was aware that she would fail in both her romantic and personal life if things continued as they were.

However, with nothing in her hand and her grip on the love she had experienced in high school, Hina found all of her judgment warped to the point where a silent tear passed through her eyes without her realizing it.

Not even noticing a figure walking out of the rooftop door and those silent tears flying on his face through the rushing wind.

Making Junta touch his face, as he saw a silent figure gazing at him, with a slight trace of tear on her vivid face.

'Tachibana Hina sensei. What luck. Wait, the system did say being on the rooftop and all. I completely forgot it.' Even Junta at this moment had that surprised look on his face.

And no matter how experienced he is, there is a little control he has over his emotions in this world.

Wiping her tear off. Hina changed her expression quite quickly.

"Good evening. Ahh." The change in expression was quite quick, as she looked at the introverted, kind of-looking boy, who looked a bit surprised for some reason and smiled.

But not knowing his name, she got stuck in the middle of her sentence.

"Hello! My name is Katigiri Junta."

"Junta-kun. What are you doing here?" She asked back.

"Want to lunch in silence. And then, maybe think of some good idea for something."

[Obviously, the light novel he is creating at the moment.]

"Sorry! For barging in like that. Also, here, I will have lunch somewhere else." Junta spoke as he took out the napkin pack from his pocket and extended his hand.

"Thanks, but it's alright to eat lunch here. I am also having some. Also, it's just something got within my eyes, so it teared up a bit." Hina smiled brightly as if all the previous sorrow was nothing but hallucination and nothing more.

"If that is so... but I don't think crying is a bad thing in its own right. Much better than letting those emotions bottle up within one mind."

He did insist much, but he still felt like saying that and spoke his mind out without worrying for Hina's impression of him, given that with a single glance, he was able to tell how dire her situation was.

After all, he had experienced this same type of stress in a past life, which is why he was more focused on money and a career that would allow him to live freely in this one.

A shocked look flashed on Hina's face. She then gave the boy a deep look of astonishment, as she felt the boy in front of her was more mature than most of the students.

Since the calm appearance and attitude he was eschewing completely erased the childlike qualities he ought to have, his personality took on an entirely new vibe.

Yes! It was weird and calm.

That made Hina feel completely off her play in front of him.

"I guess you are right? But I am a teacher of this school, so let me act like one in front of you." She changed the subject with her smart words, making Junta nod as he came to sit on the bench near the fence.

"I have a habit of writing light novels, teach. And this is my personal favourite line in it."

"Learn to love yourself more. Only then will others start to love you more."

"In this chaotic life, people invest too much in others.

That is why they hurt themselves the most.

Who actually wants their attention the most?"

Saying that, Junta started to eat the bread he brought, and just like always, he liked the taste of this bread a lot. Making him smile as he enjoyed the taste of the bread.
