Chapter 630 - Ace of Spades
Chapter 630: Ace of Spades
Wandering Soul’s strength and skills were quite formidable; topping that with the equipment that Moonwaltz Rimbo had crafted and a fully trained “Heaven Peal Lion”, his combat prowess had now reached to that of a Veteran Champion. Even though Genteel Monk was quite strong, Wandering Soul wasn’t taken down with just one strike—instead, Genteel Monk was the one who was sent out of the Mystical Sanctuary by Wandering Soul.
As they obtained this second score, Qin Ruo’s battle too had ended.
Thud!
Poochie rammed the Summoner, who was frozen solid inside a huge ice cube, to the sky. The latter then landed on the ground, smashing out several frost pieces along the way and glided to Wandering Soul’s feet.
Not dead yet?
Wandering Soul was surprised.
“This doesn’t make sense.”
Still puzzled, Wandering Soul raised his head. And he saw his Clan Leader stretched his Angelic Wings and flew into the deeper parts of the Mystical Sanctuary.
Seeing this, Wandering Soul smiled.
Indeed, after acquiring the Golden Battle Flag, Qin Ruo didn’t need to worry about the scores.
Without hesitation, Wandering Soul pulled out his broad sword and made a powerful slash! The dying Summoner, who had finally escaped from the ice, was immediately slashed. As his body lay lifelessly next to Wandering Soul, the score had turned from two to three. He only needed to kill one more competitor and he’d definitely be ranked in the Top Ten.
Trying very hard to suppress his excitement, Wandering Soul swiftly leaped onto his Black Flame Steed and travelled in the direction where Qin Ruo was headed earlier.

“It’s over…”
Meanwhile, Sinistress was sipping her wine while sighing woefully in Sin City.
“This time… Qin Ruo would definitely be the top.”
Sitting next to her was Savior, who had been kicked out of the Mystical Sanctuary earlier.
Hearing this, Savior glared at Sinistress and continued pouring down wine into his throat. From the looks of it, Savior had only accepted Sinistress invitation for the wine, not for the chat.
It couldn’t be helped…
He planned to fight for the top ranking and acquire the Demigod-tier equipment. Yet, he didn’t think Xin Yu and Judge, from the Angel Faction, would join forces and cut him down, pinning him on the 100th place in the Grand Tournament.
His prize? 10 Reputation Points and 2500 Honor Points, and some lowly Dark Gold equipment…
Savior was so pissed he almost threw up blood!
Yet, no one batted an eye at him.
Then, he received news that Sinistress too were also defeated—although her ranking wasn’t determined yet, looking at the number of her kills it was quite certain that she didn’t make it to top ten of the Grand Tournament.
That was why the two of them headed to the bar for a drink or two.
Yet, the first thing Sinistress wanted to talk about was this upsetting topic.
Although he had been paying close attention at the Grand Tournament’s progress, especially at Qin Ruo’s every move, after recalling all the bits and parcels of what happened in the fight earlier, Savior was able to slowly work out the real reason he was killed. This increased his hatred for Qin Ruo up to an unprecedented level.
That Black Flame Steed…
The Fallen Angels were able to utilize the Dark Flame Steed to identify each other in the Mystical Sanctuary. That was how they could join hands, without hesitation, to take on the other Champions.
They were cheating!
On top of that, the Fallen Angels had already rounded up three pairs of members in there…
These three pairs had taken down over a dozen Champions!
At this rate, the Fallen Angels would most definitely have several of their members rising up to be amongst the Top Ten…
And more importantly!
If Qin Ruo was able to unite all these members and work together, with the strength of ten men, they would be able to dictate and control the tides of battles in the Mystical Sanctuary!
Seeing Qin Ruo re-summoning his pet and continue flying in the sky of Mystical Sanctuary, yet not killing anyone at all, Savior and Sinistress had thought the same thing.
Qin Ruo was indeed doing something they considered the worst that could happen—he was using the Golden Battle Flag to lure more and more people toward him.
If the ones who approached him were foes, they would be immediately surrounded and taken down; if they were allies, they would join forces with the rest and strengthen their line of offenses and defenses in the Mystical Sanctuary!
Despite worrying about the people inside, Savior and Sinistress couldn’t contact the ones inside the Sanctuary. All they could do was to look at more and more Champions from their faction flocking toward the Golden Battle Flag.
“What a terrifying bastard…”
The two great veterans of the Demon Faction couldn’t help but frown in dismay.
They had never thought that this would ever happen, especially not before the contest started. The Demon Faction that had an overwhelming advantage had now fallen to this after their vigorous battles.
They didn’t think that…
Qin Ruo’s ten Champions could work together and control the tides of battles this way in the Mystical Sanctuary, slowly becoming the biggest winners in the Grand Tournament.
They couldn’t even imagine after winning the Grand Tournament and receiving the prizes—the Demigod equipment, reputation points and whatnot—just how strong the “Fallen Angels League”, a league that already had the potential of being the strongest league in the Mystical Continent, would become!
As the various clans in the Demon Faction were viciously butting heads to acquire Honor Points, to rebuild their Leagues, the Fallen Angels had now risen higher and higher.
At this rate, it would take eons for the Demon Faction to avenge the fall of Sin City.
Sinistress and Savior stared at their wine as a fleeting silence fell on the bar…

Meanwhile, at the Black Flame Valley.
A Summoner had finished sketching the Summoning Graph. In a flash, a few familiar faces stretched their wings and rose up into the air where everyone could see.
“My brothers and sisters!”
Ace of Spades’ voice echoed in the valley loud and clear.
“Our Clan Leader and Field Commanders are fighting for our Clan’s honor and future in the Mystical Sanctuary…”
“However, I have something to say to everyone, from heart-to-heart.”
“Our fame and glory, the Fallen Angels’, were mostly the works of our Clan Leader and few members in the Clan. This glory would not last…”
“I hope everyone, from now onward, would take on more responsibilities and duties and work hard for our Clan’s glory… for our League’s glory! You’ll level up even more rigorously, to become stronger… to become more powerful! We’ll let our Clan Leader and Field Commanders know that this isn’t just their fight! It’s everyone’s, the Fallen Angels’ fight!”
The players in the valley were thrilled with excitement; they all agreed with Ace of Spades’ speech.
“Let us all act! We’ll use our actions to tell them, to our Clan Leader and Field Commanders that every brother and sister here is rooting for them! We are proud of our Clan Leader. And we’ll make our Clan Leader proud too!”
“For the Clan!”
Ace of Spades’ words moved every member in the clan who was present in the valley.
“For the Clan!!!!!”
A powerful battle cry swept through and out of the valley, shocking every player who was outside the valley. They thought that there was some kind of Mega Boss that had appeared in the valley.
***
“What the heck? What’s going on?”
Many curious players were trying to peek into the valley, trying to find out what the commotion was about.
One of them pouted, “God knows. Why don’t you go and check?”
“Forget it.”
“Why don’t you go?”
“Aren’t you a Bandit? It’s your specialty, sneak in and do some recon or some shit. If it’s not you, who else?”
“Shit my ass. What? You want me to offend the Fallen Angels? What do you think I am? A retard? If they were to blacklist me, a mere Level 50 Bandit, it’d be the death of me!”
The Bandit looked his friend in disgust, and thought to himself.
‘The Winter Demon is about to become the number one in Honor and Glory. His underlings are also probably going to be taking up all the places on the top ten. And this brat wants me to pick a fight with Fallen Angels? What a joke!’
And indeed, everyone could see that the Fallen Angels would become much stronger after the tournament. It was most certain that the Fallen Angels would have a few more Veteran Champions rising up after this.
They weren’t just going to be stronger than the other four Leagues—the Fallen Angels were most definitely going to be the first to build their own city in the Underworld.
And once the Underworld was connected with the Angel Faction…
Everyone would need to lick the Fallen Angels’ boots to get into the Underworld safely.
Who’d offend the Fallen Angels at this point? It’d be a career suicide!
“Oh dang, I was just making a suggestion and here comes the lecture… fine, fine! Don’t go in then. Geez.”
“Fine what? I know what’s up. You’re trying to push blame now that you know how stupid you sound… and you know what… I’m not giving you any -”
As the Bandit continued with his lecture, the people outside the valley had finally calmed down after being surprised by the valley’s battle cry.
***
“Shit.”
“This is going to be a drag…”
Twenty flashy looking players were gathered in one of the private rooms in a restaurant.
They were all watching the live stream of the battles in the Mystical Sanctuary quietly…
As more and more Champions from Angel and Demon Faction were slain by the Qin Ruo, the Golden Battle Flag holder, one of them finally spoke to a Solarmancer.
“Big Bruvver… this Fallen Angels… it seemed that they’re quite pissed this time.” As he was talking, he was also trying to inquire his “Big Bruvver” carefully to see if he had any way to handle this.
“…hmmm.”
“Big Bruvver” the Solarmancer was one of the few players who owned a full set of Legendary gears amongst the players. He kept staring at the Dark Flame Steeds with his cool eyes, then sighed.
“It’s indeed quite a drag.”
“This Grand Tournament’s Demigod tier equipment isn’t really special. However, if all of these gears were collected by one organization, they would be a force to be reckoned with.”
Big Bruvver mumbled to himself.
“These people… they don’t really have money… and there’s no other way to acquire these Demigod gears… this Fallen Angels indeed would be a huge obstacle to our plan.”
“Tsk, so what…”
One of the players suddenly interrupted with a young child-like voice.
“So what if all of them each get one piece of Demigod gear? Hmph! They will only each have one piece of that gear. They won’t be a threat. Sure, they might get a wee bit stronger, but I can pour tons of cash to buy all the Mana Cores and Potions. There’s no way I can’t beat them to a pulp!”
