Chapter 7: I WILL HELP YOU

(Alvi and Reo Min are in Alvi's room after a tense moment.)

Alvi: (Looking anxious) I'm hungry, but I can't find anyone who will help me with my food.

I should just go back to my room...

Reo Min: (Appearing suddenly) Hello, Mr. Miles.

Alvi: (Surprised) Hello, Reo. Wait, how do you know my surname?

Reo Min: (Smiling) I think you forgot, but I remember you told me your full name before.

Alvi: (Scratches his head) Maybe... but I don't remember.

Reo Min: Forget about it. Are you okay?

Alvi: (Nods) Yeah... but why are you asking me that?

Reo Min: Actually, I noticed you didn't show up at lunchtime, and I was worried.

Alvi: (Chuckles nervously) Yeah, I fell asleep. That's why I missed lunch today. Now, I'm hungry as hell.

Reo Min: (Deadpan) Then die.

Alvi: (Stunned) Excuse me, what?!

Reo Min: (Laughing) Ha ha ha! Sorry, sorry. It was a joke! I was just joking.

Alvi: (Relieved) You almost gave me a heart attack!

Reo Min: (Winks) Come on, let's go.

Alvi: (Confused) Where?

Reo Min: Aren't you dying without food?

Alvi: (Reluctantly) Yes, but we shouldn't go downstairs right now.

Reo Min: Why not? Aren't you hungry?

Alvi: (Whispers) Yes, but not now.

Reo Min: (Skeptical) Wha...?

Alvi: (Urgently) Shush! Wait a minute. Come with me. I think someone's coming.

Let's go to my room. It's not safe to talk here.

(They quickly move to Alvi's room, and the door closes behind them.)

Reo Min: (Looking confused) What's going on here?

Alvi: (Serious) I know it's hard to explain, but we're in a place where people vanish without a trace.

Reo Min: (Frowning) Stop joking with me.

Alvi: (Eyes wide, serious) I'm not joking. It's true. Just look at my face. Do you think I'm joking?

Reo Min: (Pauses) It's hard to believe, but...

(After a moment of hesitation, Alvi tells Reo Min everything.)

Alvi: (Finishing his story) ...That's all that happened.

Reo Min: (Taking it all in) You've been here just a day, and you've already discovered so much.

(He pauses, thinking deeply.)

Reo Min: I don't think the hotel manager is involved. He seems genuinely worried about himself and his staff. He doesn't want to be the target.

But you're right. This seems like a murder case, not some supernatural phenomenon. It looks like we're dealing with a serial killer—someone who scares people first, then kills them.

The mirror? It's just a distraction. A pawn to confuse us. That's not what we should focus on.

Alvi: (Nodding) Then what should we do?

We don't have much time.

Reo Min: (Frowning) First, we should go downstairs. You need to eat something. It's getting late.

Alvi: (Sighs) Yeah, let's go. But we need to act normal. If we show that we know something, they'll get suspicious.

Reo Min: (Agrees) I agree. At least on that part.

Alvi: (Pauses) But you know something's off here, right? That's all I need right now. I'm also curious to know what's really going on.

Reo Min: (Smiling slightly) I can see your thirst for the unknown. Alright then, let's head out.

Alvi: (Nods) Hmm.

(They walk together to the restaurant. Upon arriving, everything seems normal again. The staff members are present, like nothing happened, and both Alvi and Reo Min try to act as though they know nothing. They order food and sit down to eat.)

Reo Min: (Still uneasy) Are you sure we should just sit here like this?

Alvi: (Sighs) Like you, I don't trust them either. But right now, I don't know how to escape this mess, and neither do you.

We're both trapped here. So for now, we gather whatever information we can and inform the police. Maybe while looking for answers, we can find a way to leave.

Do you trust me now?

Reo Min: (Pauses, thinking) It's 50/50. I'm still confused about who to trust.

But one thing's for sure—time is moving differently here. It feels like I've been here for two days already.

Alvi: (Nods) Yeah, I've noticed that too. I feel like I've been here for four days, and I've been having strange dreams that feel almost too real. It's unnerving.

Reo Min: (Serious) I don't know what to believe, but I'll help you. If I find out this whole thing is a lie, I'm out. But if it's true, I'll stick with you, no matter what.

(He pauses, looking determined.)

Reo Min: You're right. It's better to fight together than alone.

Alvi: (Feeling relieved and grateful) Sure. Thanks, Reo.

(They continue eating, but both of them know they're now deeper in the mystery, and their journey has only just begun.)
