Old Yuan nodded, appreciating Daniel's patience. He then turned to Tian Xingyun. "Young lady, may I have a word?" He walked toward a secluded corner, away from Daniel.

Confused by what he was trying to say, Tian Xingyun followed her old butler. When she reached him, Old Yuan quickly cast a sound-blocking barrier.

"Young lady, you don't remember when or how it happened, do you?" He asked, his eyes glancing at her upper arm where her purity mark used to be, implying what he meant.

Tian Xingyun's face turned red as she lowered her head in embarrassment. No, she didn't remember it, but since the mark had disappeared and Daniel was the only man in the house, who else could have done it?

"...No, I can't remember. But he's the only man here... so..." she admitted. It was all so strange. The last thing she remembered before waking up in this house was tending to the Immortal Peace Garden for her father in the Heavenly Realm.

Then she had fallen asleep and been swept into a nightmare—a vision of her father being killed by a powerful stranger, who then forced himself on her. She dreamt of spending centuries in bitterness with that man, feeling nothing but pain.

When she woke, her purity mark was gone, and there was Daniel Emberweave, the only man around. It had to be him, right? At first, she thought he was evil, but the people in his house seemed happy, and he even had a smart, mischievous daughter.

Old Yuan sighed heavily. "Sigh... Young lady, you should know that certain aphrodisiacs can drain vitality and cause memory loss. He might have been affected by the same thing, which would explain why he doesn't remember anything either. It's not so strange that he acts the way he does."

If he didn't intervene, knowing her personality, she would surely cause trouble for that man, and his plan to help her forget the past and live happily here would fail.

"He seems to care for you a lot," Daniel said after Old Yuan had flown away.

She turned to Daniel. "Do you know how to contact Uncle Yuan?"

"You're right. He'll surely come visit us again," Tian Xingyun agreed with a nod. Uncle Yuan had only gone to investigate, and she was confident he would return. No one but her father could stand a chance against him.

"So… apologize to me!" Tian Xingyun suddenly blurted out, turning to Daniel with expectant eyes.

"Wha… what? What are you blabber... talking about?" Daniel was confused but quickly adjusted his words, deciding to be more patient and gentle with her.

"C'mon… just… apologize," Tian Xingyun's voice grew weaker, her tone becoming timid.

Seeing her like this, Daniel couldn't help but sigh. "Okay… fine. I apologize… for what I did to you," he said, stroking her hair, his eyes sincere.

Of course, Daniel was only apologizing for ambushing her with that killing spell. At the time, he knew nothing about her, her personality or character, and used the spell as a precaution, since she, a stranger, had broken into his house and was standing dangerously close to his daughter, who had shown signs of strange power.

At another corner of the rooftop garden, there was a swing hanging from a large tree. Little Silvana was sitting on the swing with Mammon the iguana perched on her head. As she looked at her dad, the swing started to slow down.

"Princess Aura, do you think she'll be my new mama?" asked the little one to the iguana perched on her head.

"Absolutely, that guy... I mean... your dad has a heart as vast as the ocean. I'm sure he'll make her your new mama," answered the iguana, pausing before continuing, "Also, my name is Mammon, so stop calling me Princess Aura, and I'm a male!" Mammon protested.

"It's okay, I believe even if you are male, you can still be a lovely princess. Don't let gender limit your potential!" little Sylvana said with a mischievous smirk.

"Where did you get that idea?" asked Mammon.

"Internet," said Sylvana.

"I'm going to tell your papa and mamas that you spend too much time on the internet..." Mammon leapt out of Sylvana's head and quickly went toward Daniel, which made Sylvana frantically follow him.

In the end, Mammon succeeded in telling Daniel, which resulted in her getting a long sermon from both her papa and Mama Greed. It's a good thing that her Mama Envy still didn't come back; otherwise, the traditionalist and conservative like her Mama Envy would surely give her an even longer sermon.

— A few days later —

Daniel went down to the Atlanteus base, to the last level, even beyond the level where the Nexus Prime vault is located. This level is a long-standing project that Daniel had prepared since he built the Atlanteus base, and both the drone and the metal scarab have been working nonstop since that day.

In front of the large double gate with the symbol of Lv.9 marked on it, Daniel is walking into the gate. He is also checking his wrist console from time to time to see the progress of the project.

He walks through a long walkway with a long railing that reveals a lot of heavy machinery parts outside of the railing, each of the mechanism parts is the size of a skyscraper. These machine parts are part of the grand mechanism that will make this project work.

Daniel sits on the seat behind the main console of this control room, where the large screen shows the scene of the underwater area and the situation surrounding the island.

Today, Daniel has asked the city management to prohibit anyone from using the beach and also to take all the ships into dry dock, or to let them wait at least 30 kilometers outside of the coast to prevent any accident.
