Chapter 426: The Miracle, Little Slut

Curly Hair picked up the white paper box that had fallen to the ground. His newly bought figurine was now thoroughly pulverized, along with the box.

When the Blazing Sword Girl came to kill them just now, she had landed right on his merchandise, which had fallen on the ground. Naturally, the Blazing Sword Girl hadn't cared, and with a heavy stomp, she had crushed his belongings.

"Feeling the sting?" his companion asked.

"No." Curly Hair shook his head, turned to his companion lying on the ground, and looked at the man's lightly burned right hand. "Should we rush to the hospital now? Your hand..."

"Not a good idea." His companion shook his head. "Fairy Sister just cleared this area; no more of those strange creatures will appear. If you take me somewhere else now, it'll be even more dangerous. Let's wait until the live stream ends before we leave."

"Besides, it doesn't hurt that much. I can bear it... OW!"

Curly Hair poked his companion's burned right hand, saying guiltily, "You say it doesn't hurt much, but your mouth is twisted, and your voice is trembling. Didn't you notice the sweat on your forehead?"

"Really?" The companion wiped the sweat from his forehead with his left hand and gave a bitter smile. "We're already very lucky. Look at those beaten to death or crippled by the monsters, and others who crashed in the dark... Only my left hand got burned. I guess it's because, aside from your usual bad breath and idiocy, you haven't actually done anything terrible, you moron, plus I've been accumulating good karma."

Unexpectedly, Curly Hair didn't argue back. His companion, slightly surprised by Curly Hair's guilty expression, suddenly kicked out.

"Fuck off! I was saving myself just now; did you think I was saving you? Stop with that indebted moron look, you stupid shit."

As he spoke, the movement pulled at the burn on his left hand, causing him so much pain that he grimaced. "If Fairy Sister hadn't arrived in time, we'd both be dead. Now only I'm injured; you should be happy! Damn, it really fucking hurts!"

Curly Hair hurried to a nearby drink vending machine—Tokyo streets were full of them—bought a bottle of some unknown brand of mineral water, and poured it directly onto the burn on his companion's left hand.

The drink from the vending machine was naturally cold. After the cold water was poured over it, the searing pain from his burned left arm quickly eased, and his sweat-drenched face relaxed in a sigh of relief.

When the Blazing Sword Girl had attacked them earlier, his companion had pushed Curly Hair away. Although they weren't cut by the sword, the Fiery Flames on it burned his companion's left hand.

Then, with Fairy Sister's cold and merciless verdict, the Blazing Sword Girl had vanished into a mist of blood amidst a bolt of Purple Thunder.

Curly Hair's phone still had no display, as if the screen's light had been devoured. However, the live stream still had sound. Through the audio, they judged that the monsters in this area had likely been cleared, so they didn't wander off and instead rested by the roadside.

Suddenly, Curly Hair noticed the omnipresent white light dissipate. The azure sky reappeared before them, his phone screen lit up, and the ceaseless Purple Thunder also stopped.

"Is it finally over?"

"God... someone save me!"

"Mom, I'm okay..."

The return of natural light made almost everyone instinctively believe this sudden disaster had ended.

And indeed, that was the case. Curly Hair saw that Fairy Sister in the live stream was no longer moving. The city, a veritable steel jungle, didn't erupt in conflict again, and the heavy weight in his heart finally lifted.

I was really afraid something unexpected would happen, like a new wave of enemies spawning... Curly Hair thought. It's not impossible, because these monsters just 'spawned' into existence.

"Let's go to the hospital," Curly Hair said, helping his companion up.

His companion gave a wry smile. "Seeking medical treatment in a foreign country..."

"Now's not the time to worry about money. Do you really want to go back home like this?"

"But there are too many injured people now. With a Minor Injury like mine, and being a foreigner, I might not even get treated."

That was true.

Curly Hair looked around the streets. Their area was where Fairy Sister had first annihilated the monsters. But before Fairy Sister intervened, the monsters had still caused severe destruction—several building facades had blown out, debris littered the main street, and the injured were everywhere. The road was a mess of multiple car pile-ups, with bloodstains and wreckage spread across it.

In the areas further away, how much Damage did the monsters cause before Fairy Sister arrived? Curly Hair dared not imagine, nor could he fathom it, but he knew the number of injured and dead must be unimaginably high.

At a time like this, all hospitals in Tokyo would likely be in an emergency state. Medical resources would surely be prioritized for Japanese citizens and the seriously injured. His companion's burned arm, a relatively Minor Injury, might not receive timely treatment.

Just then, Curly Hair heard a delicate female voice announcing simultaneously through the live stream and in his ears:

"By the Immortal Venerate's command, I shall soothe the scars of this world."

Suddenly, the ground, buildings, and people were all shrouded in a hazy white light. Curly Hair stared in astonishment at the white light emerging from his own body.

Countless soft, rustling sounds could be heard. Stones on the ground suddenly flew up to fill the gaps in buildings. Collided vehicles began to reverse, their dented parts smoothing back to their original forms.

Severed limbs and spilled blood returned to their original bodies. The injured, who had been screaming and covered in cold sweat, gradually relaxed, some even leaping up and moving about energetically.

Within this hazy white light, the city ravaged by the "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons" miraculously reverted to its state before the attack! The injured, too, recovered as if time itself had reversed!

Curly Hair looked at his companion, who blinked, twisted his left arm vigorously, struck a strongman pose, and chuckled, "My Zuo Guifei is all better!"

Curly Hair sighed in relief. He looked down to pick up his bag of figurines and found that they, too, had returned to their original condition.

"Your wives are back," his healed companion said, laughing.

"No, they're not my wives anymore." Curly Hair looked up at the sky, then back at his phone screen. "Now, I have only one Goddess."

This is the limit, Supreme Supreme, Ilina thought, observing the city restored to its original state. The 'Restoration of the Mirror' from the Space-Time Metaphysics Research Institute of the Era of Conquest is the strongest Recovery Skill Ilina could find. All damaged buildings and injured people have been restored. As for 'Resurrection Technique,' Ilina can indeed find it, and in various forms. However, Resurrection Technique is a Skill that Ilina currently cannot manifest through 'Perfect Erosion.' Please forgive Ilina's inability.

Ren Suo said, "This is already enough. Prepare the withdrawal ceremony."

Indeed, 'Perfect Erosion' isn't omnipotent, Ren Suo mused. It's limited by the city's network and power supply, and also constrained by the world's level of Spiritual Energy. The current level of Spiritual Energy hasn't reached the point where Ilina can use 'Perfect Erosion' to replicate the Resurrection Technique in reality. However, I had Ilina restore all the injured and buildings not only to significantly boost the Fairy Palace's reputation but also to probe the limits of her abilities. The 'Restoration of the Mirror' from 'Era of Conquest' should be one of the most powerful methods she can use.

I've played 'Era of Conquest.' It's an RTS (Real-Time Strategy) game where you build bases, create units—or 'small soldiers' as the game calls them—and then just select and A-move them into battle. My skill level was pretty much just that: select all, A-move. In this game, base buildings could Evolve on both technological and mystical paths by consuming resources. The technological path peaked at the 'Stellar Era,' and the mystical path at 'Descent of the Gods.' After reaching the pinnacle of both, you could establish the Space-Time Metaphysics Research Institute and research the ultimate technique: 'Restoration of the Mirror.'

'Restoration of the Mirror' could restore all buildings and living beings in a targeted area to their optimal Status. In the game, this technique was rarely used due to its many prerequisites. But when activated—usually after your base was nearly wiped out and all your troops annihilated—it could revive all buildings and units, often leading to a miraculous comeback. Other games definitely have more powerful Skills, like time reversal. But Ilina's Ability capped out at 'Restoration of the Mirror,' and even then, the 'Resurrection' effect was removed. Still, this was already terrifying enough.

The live stream chat exploded with adoration: "Honey, come out! I've seen a god!" "Honey, how did you become a goddess?!" "It's a miracle!"

While Ren Suo was contemplating, an ancient bronze gate with strange engravings suddenly materialized behind Ilina. The sight made people on the ground and the viewers in the live stream gasp in astonishment. However, when the bronze gate opened, it released an Endless light, making it impossible to see inside.

Ilina put away the ancient sheepskin book and leisurely walked into the bronze gate. The gate then slowly closed, became transparent, and disappeared above the clouds as if it had never been there.

The Disaster Girl prepared to disconnect from the network. Just then, You Jiu shouted from nearby, "We will meet again! The next time you encounter difficulties, I, Zhen, will appear to help you!"

Ren Suo hesitated. Hmm, having a Fourth-Tier Rank fighter like him as backup wouldn't be bad... No, Ren Suo! You're a man of dignity! How could you stoop to this for a mere trifle?!

Ren Suo's expression firmed with Determination. That's right, I can't do this. I have principles. How did this guy even get here? Through Dong Chengling's Space Gate, of course. If he wants to come over again, wouldn't Dong Chengling have to keep opening the gate for him for the next few days? And Little Jiu is on vacation. If Dong Chengling isn't around, wouldn't I have to look after Little Jiu again? I really don't want to suffer the humiliation of getting steamrolled by elementary schoolers in Honor of Kings again!

After weighing the pros and cons, Ren Suo stated righteously, "I don't need your help. Don't appear before me again."

"Why?" You Jiu looked aggrieved. "Is it because my poem wasn't pleasing to hear?"

His poem was awful, sure, but he better not pin the blame for my rejection on *that*, Ren Suo thought, then immediately said, "No. There are... complicated reasons. Just don't appear before me again."

"Is it because of the Fairy Palace's rules? Is this your trial?" You Jiu quickly filled in the blanks himself. "Then at least you can tell me your name, right?"

Considering the help he'd given earlier, Ren Suo thought for a moment and said, "What's past is past, like smoke and clouds. I am Calamity, and I am also Nameless."

At this moment, wisps of blood-red smoke suddenly wafted from all directions, converging upon the Disaster Girl. The live stream's camera shifted to focus on her.

The Disaster Girl floated into mid-air, a blood-red storm erupting around her, her expression devoid of joy or sorrow.

The scene shifted to the Space of Destiny. There, the floating "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons" card quietly dissipated, revealing the Cloaked Girl with Blue Hair behind it.

With a gentle wave of her right hand, three cards appeared in succession: "Apostle Era," "Fantasy Era," and "The Blank Era."

The "Apostle Era" card depicted several Transcendents in a standoff. Behind them were Demons and Ghosts of various shapes. The image itself was in black and white, but the eyes of all creatures depicted blazed blood-red.

The "Fantasy Era" card showed numerous Transcendents battling various Demons and Ghosts. In the background, opposing humanity, were depictions of Heaven, Hell, spaceships...

The "The Blank Era" card showed a lone human secretly reading in a corner of city ruins. Suddenly, a Demon appeared out of thin air and crushed the human's head.

The Cloaked Girl with Blue Hair waved her hand lightly, and all three cards shattered.

"With the help of others, the girl extinguished the Source of Disaster: Violent Evildoers," said the Cloaked Girl with Blue Hair. "She released the incubated Energy, changing the future that was known as Violence. The girl obtained the Violent Ring and the Seed of Destiny."

Then the Cloaked Girl with Blue Hair laid three face-down cards on the wooden table and whispered, "So, which Path of Destiny will the girl step onto next?"

Ren Suo randomly picked one. The Cloaked Girl with Blue Hair said ominously, "The girl has embarked on another Path of Destiny."

The familiar candlelight still flickered. The live stream ended. Ren Suo glanced at the Disaster Girl's feed and immediately rolled his eyes. That You Jiu had actually sneaked underneath the Disaster Girl and was looking up.

The Disaster Girl is wearing a skirt! But the 'Unicorn's Temptation' outfit not only has a long enough skirt but also includes safety shorts. A truly cultured design! This is a good chance, Ren Suo thought. He quickly had the Disaster Girl glare at You Jiu, huff, then disconnected from the game and left.

You Jiu was stunned.

It wasn't until Mr. Chuan called him back on a satellite phone that he finally snapped out of it and hurriedly returned through the Space Gate.

As soon as he returned, You Jiu stood tall and proudly declared, "Everyone, rest assured! The Fairy Palace is no longer an issue!"

"What do you mean?"

"I, Zhen, have conquered Nameless!"

"Who is Nameless?" Nan Xi asked.

"That's the Disaster Messenger. Nameless is her private name; ordinary people don't know it. My Beloved Consort, you mustn't call her that casually. It's a little secret between her and me," You Jiu said proudly. "Nameless has fallen for me."

Nan Xi rolled her eyes. "And what makes you so sure?"

"Not only did she tell me her private name, but before she left, she gave me such a longing look and even made a sound of… unfulfilled desire," You Jiu said, tsk-tsking. "Who knew she was such a little minx… but I, Zhen, like it!"
