Chapter 427: FIGHTING A HUNTER (2)
As the dust dissipated in the surroundings, Boris ignored the place where the illusion was located and focused on spreading his senses as far and wide as possible.
They only had one chance at finishing what they were trying to accomplish. They needed to focus all their firepower in one place and utterly destroy everything in sight to be able to take out their enemy.
[Dragon Lance ready to launch at order…]
[Very well, Prepare for fire once the coordinates are shared between everyone…]
He sighed and started to stretch his body slightly to relieve some of the accumulated tension. Despite the bulk size of the armor, his shoulders felt light and his strength was not being wasted in doing anything useless and restrictive.
Even so, there was a time limit to this surging power.
[30:20]
This was one of the reasons why magical armor imbued with spirit power was so rare despite how powerful they really were. The minimum requirement to wear them was staggeringly high and even a Gold-level hunter like him could only hold out for a few dozen minutes at best and sustain the power output of this behemoth. The remaining time would also decrease fast as he consumed more energy.
Phew~!
A white mist escaped his helmet as he breathed out deeply and then crouched down completely.
[Spirit Sight]
The world turned into a shade of utter darkness as his Prana flashed in the surroundings like radiating waves, searching for an unusual source of Prana in the astronomical range of his search. n((1n
"There!"
His muscles contracted, like a motor pistoning through its motions at full throttle while his heart roared and soared, bringing out a staggering level of Prana from his Chakra pathways…
[19:45]
Like this, more than one-third of his Prana reserve was consumed directly, bringing with it the might that rivaled that of the ancient Titans— behemoths of mass destruction and carnage.
Immediately turning around, he threw a straight punch with all his might. The air was once again parted cleanly as though a terrible mass of intangible energy was pushing everything away in its path, and his fist seemed to loom like a gigantic hammer ready to crush even a mountain before its might.
Boris was confident in his power. This was one of the most powerful attacks he was able to deliver at once and this time, he was not fooled by the individual that presented himself as Prince. The target he was punching was indeed the true body of his enemy.
'I just need to wound him gravely, I don't even need to kill him. The team will do the rest.'
His eyes narrowed— time seemed to slow down to a crawl as his punch reached the target. He had full confidence in his power and the effectiveness of his punch. He was sure that if this attack connected, it was literally impossible for one to come out unscathed.
Sadly for him though…
BOOM~!!!
The explosion this time was so high that one would think a missile had fallen in the targeted region. But for Boris, it was currently his heart that was being bombarded with the shock of a literal bomb.
Boris saw it with his own eyes. The man who called himself Prince did not even move as a translucent shield covered him and took the full brunt of the attack like it was nothing.
Crack~!
The sound of shattering glass filled his ears as the shield broke down fast under the might of his fist but this did not make him happy in the slightest.
Finally—
Bang~!
The shield broke and his fist connected with Prince but all of the remaining force of his punch was stopped by a simple palm of his enemy. Simultaneously, his body felt so light that it was as if he was floating in zero gravity. It was not looking good for Boris.
"Did you know? The force of a moving object depends on two big factors— the mass and the speed. Pretty elementary, right? So, think… What if one is taken out of the equation altogether?"
Boris, with his fist still taunt and blocked by the palm of his opponent looked at the surroundings as the ground started to crack all over and all of a sudden a huge boulder floated in the air before spinning faster and faster while changing forms.
In an instant, all that was left of the boulder seemed to be two fast-spinning spears of large proportions…
"Now then… Let's play tag, shall we?"
The spear moved.
Faster than Boris could react, due to the distance between the two of them, one of the spears hit his armor at full strength and pushed him back with a force that made him think that he was literally hit by a truck. While no dents was formed on the armor, inwardly, Boris nearly doubled down and vomited blood as he felt the full brunt of the shock spreading throughout his body full force.
'Shit. This armor is supposed to have a counter for this kind of thing. How the fuck did he circumvent that?'
Rather than thinking that the armor was defective, this fact made Boris aware of how strong the attack had been. That was how crazy the attack of his opponent had been. If he didn't have the armor on… he didn't even want to imagine what would have been done to him.
'Hahah…? Fuck.'
He looked up and could only curse as he saw not just one, nor two, but more than 20 spears of the same kind floating in the air simultaneouly.
"You should run."
—And Boris did just that… He ran for his life…
BOOM~! BOOM~! BOOM ~!
What followed was a very onslaught of destruction akin to tactical strikes. The earth rumbled, the house crumbled and craters appeared all around as each spear tried to reach Boris before he could counter-attack and Boris was forced to flee and use all his skills to keep himself from being struck once again.
