Chapter 397: VS THE QUEEN BEE (2)
When the Queen finally understood what was transpiring to her, she had already received a second hit on the chin by the hard fists of the intruder, sending her upward until she broke through the ceiling of the beehive itself.
Boom~!
The beehive thus trembled ever so slightly due to the sudden impact and started breaking down. But the Queen had no care for her home. She could not even appreciate how big and blue the sky was, despite it being the first time she had actually walked out into the open world in her entire life.
A fishy metallic taste spread through her mouth and tickled her tongue already. Moreover, when she touched her lips, she finally realized the identity of the foreign taste she was feeling… She was actually bleeding from her mouth right now…
'Wha—'
"Hum… It seems like my punch was weaker than I thought."
Spshhh~!
The sound of steam entering in contact with the air filled her hair and she looked down at the one who was calmly walking in the air to reach her. Her eyes trembled ever so slightly when she realized that she had been punched not once but twice by 'the wretched entity' who was the only reason for her hardships and she had hardly been able to even comprehend what happened to her.
"How…"
"They always ask the same thing. Why the hell would I explain my powers to you? Are you all stupid?"
Adam laughed though inwardly he was quite dissatisfied by the end result of his mixture of powers.
[Wide Gravity Increase] + [Self Gravity Decrease] + [Accelerated Perception] and finally the resulting [Burning blood.]
Those were the normal steps for Adam to reach his maximum fighting speed as he did against the Devil of Lies on the now non-existent island.
By first increasing the weight for his opponent before lowering his own weight and then increasing his perception, Adam was able to reach a speed so terrifying that he had a hard time quantifying it into simple numbers, and the more his skills increased the stronger this combo would become.
The sad thing was that, in this place, he had nothing like 'The World' to help him make out the complex calculations and do the detailed observations to fully smoothen out the integration of all his abilities and thus he was unable to bring out his full speed.
But— everything was just a matter of his imagination. He was in the land of Dreams after all. He just had to think in reverse.
[Make me heavier.]
And So he became lighter. By mixing this reality with the power of [Burning Blood], Adam was able to reach an extreme level of speed while sacrificing a little bit of his punching strength.
'Well, I sacrificed a lot more than I thought.'
That or the skin of the queen was simply that tough. Which, to be fair, was more than a possibility in this scenario.
Adam moved his arm around, satisfied that his body was holding on to this amalgam of skills. In the real world, using this technique for long amounts of time was quite dangerous as he would die eventually but here, in Wonderland, it seemed like there was no such problem for him. Outside of the incredible way his Dreamforce was being consumed that is.
"Let's continue then."
He lowered the input of Dreamforce and flashed toward the Queen once more to deal another barrage of clobbering her way.
"I can see you this time!"
Sadly for her, seeing and reacting were two completely different matters altogether. By the time Adam reached her, she had barely managed to extend her fist when Adam's fist connected with her gut to deliver a sucker punch straight to her solar plexus.
But the onslaught did not stop there. He knew very well that he couldn't give her the time to even breathe or else the outcome will not go his way. So Adam proceeded by using one of the floating knives in his possession and filling it with as much power and energy as possible before trying to pierce her thighs with it.
"Argh!!!"
There was some resistance at first, but the blade vanquished her defense and did the job it was made to do.
The queen screamed out loud, feeling true pain for the first time in all her life.
"I must say. Thinking about it, this is the first time I am having a bloody fight with a woman. It is quite refreshing…"
While he did kill the Hacker of those mercenaries who attacked him against Natasha and he killed Zoe – the woman who was about to give birth to Asmodeus's vessel – he had never truly fought against a woman like he was doing right now.
'Oh… I forgot Makoto and Mom.'
He shelved those thoughts away, determined to never let them know that he had forgotten for a moment that they were women.
His mother would most likely headlock him and crush it into pieces if he were to ever tell her that.
"Bastard!"
The Queen screamed when she realized that Adam was ignoring her and daydreaming by himself— a telltale sign of not even putting her in his eyes. Her screams changed into a screech so high that Adam was forced to let her go and take some distance from the screaming queen.
"Fuck…"
He had to shake his head to chase away the feeling of floating but at the same time, he sent another blade her way. The number of blades he could send at once was limited and he could not make more of them while fighting.
But there was a reason he was toying around with the queen right now.
"This isn't all, right? You can do much more can't you?"
Adam put a finger in his ear and cleaned it quietly while observing her from the corner of his eyes. His eyes shone with an eerie glow.
"Don't waste our time. You should go all out now."
This was not enough for him. He needed more. Much more and only by pushing the queen to her deepest level would he become able to reach a higher ceiling himself.
Placing his hand together, a small ball of fire appeared and slowly started to grow bigger and bigger.
"I really hope that you have much more power in reserve, otherwise— you will die right now."
The Queen grunted, fighting to control the pain that was slowly filling her mind and coloring her world in red. She understood now what he meant when he said that between the two of them, she was going to be the stepping stone.
But she would make him regret this stupidity. She was only at 40% of her full power output as she had yet to become used to this form or the experience of her children. But once she did— she would become perfect and killing him in half a heartbeat or less would be nothing but child play.
"You will regret this very soon."n0.0
"I regret many things. But trust me, this moment will not be one of them."
He laughed, "Fight! Little Queen. Fight and become my nourishment to reach greater heights. Fight or die like the pitiful and insolent bug you are!"
—And so the fight between the two resumed.
It was a pitiful fight that was doomed from the start. After all— one was fighting for survival while the other fought for growth.
Even so, Adam felt no pity for the bug. He needed to become stronger and she would just be one of the many he would sacrifice to reach this goal of his.
