It's only been a month and here I am with my bag standing in front of my new house that my new mum bought for me and today she will become my agent officially.
Her name as I found out online is Arizu Mochizuki. She has long black hair falling below her shoulders, aristocratic facial features, green eyes and always has red lipstick on her lips, even in the photos on the net, and she has a very specific fame for herself, which is the basis of her business. At the beginning of her career she became the agent of two completely, at that time, unknown writers, or rather one writer and one mangaka. They signed contracts on cooperation and in a week both of them shot out of the cannon: news, programmes, anime, screen adaptations and everything like that. And my new mum has a gift for sensing talent, one of the conspiracy theories says that she has a quirk for sensing talent.
I read about the two she 'made famous,' and there's nothing wrong with them, and nothing wrong with their work. Quite average writers, but found fame in their homeland, and the world does not even dream of the world scale.
So, at the moment, my mum's office has expanded quite a bit because of her reputation. She has mangakas, writers, screenwriters, actors, and even a couple of athletes, and then I come out of nowhere and say, 'You're screwed, girl, she's lost her mind - to lose such a fortune under her nose, her reputation would be gone, as well as those who wanted to work with her.
Relaxed exhaled as if dropping a heavy weight from my shoulders and walked through the door, thinking about the only thing that is stressing me out so far....
- Well hello Toru, - greeted me from the threshold of a familiar voice, - or should I call you son? - said the girl
- Mummy, I'm home! - A joyful child's voice was her answer.
- Don't pretend to be a child, it doesn't suit you! - I heard in reply, while I took off my shoes and went to the room, and it seems that the moment I was worried about was resolved, she agreed to everything too easily.
- Who's that with you, mammy? - I looked round at the four people who were standing behind the important brunette. They don't look like guards, those ambassadors who were in the orphanage were more suitable for this role.
- It doesn't matter, - the girl waved away, - better sign the documents, I have to go on business.
- Of course, Mummy! - Still smiling, I sat down and flipped through the papers. Basically no tricks, everything as we discussed, even the percentage is the same, then why are these four people here? I flipped through the papers one more time just in case and signed. - All mummy, you can go, come back in a year, - and a smile, in reinforcement, up to the ears.
- Yes, - the girl smiled slyly, - you missed one more piece of paper, and I'll drop by next time in a year.
- No! - he collapsed on the sofa, and shook his head, - it probably says something like 'all my money is your money' and 'everything that I have done with all the guts belongs to you', don't be silly, I will never sign it.
- Well then, sonny, you need to meet my guests, - pointing her finger she started listing, - this is a mercenary from Russia, his palms can create ice, this is a mercenary from Canada, she can create and control snow, and this couple from Italy, working together, she can control water, and he can change the temperature of any liquid. You may have a fiery quirk, against four adult mercenaries you don't stand a chance, just sign and I promise you a pretty good life if you do what I say!
- All joking aside! - And literally enveloped the room in phoenix flames.
- Quick! Put out that flame! - commanded my new mummy.
A whole show broke out in the room. My flame already looks incredibly beautiful, and there are four helpers. The one from Russia immediately started throwing ice around the room, but it just fell to the floor slowly dissolving and not interfering with the fire at all. The Canadian made a whole snowstorm in the room, and the couple expectedly co-operated: she dragged water from all available crevices, and he partially cooled it, for about five minutes the quartet that was created to defeat me, vainly tried to extinguish the flames.
- What are you stupid! - After five minutes, tired of watching the futile attempts to extinguish my flame, shouted Mammy, - you can not put out the flame, well, twist the one who created it.
Four pairs of eyes, glittering, stared at me, apparently they too were tired of carrying out useless orders. I smiled cheerfully and disappeared in a flash of flame. Everyone in the room hesitated at this phenomenon, and I surfaced right on my mammy's lap, kissed her on the cheek, hugged her with one arm, and waved my other arm in front of her face, having previously created a fire on her.
- Mum, ask the outsiders to leave.
- B-b-b-quick, everybody out! - The uninvited guests ran out of the room, and I put out all the flames.
- Look, Ariza, I know you're not happy about the situation, but once you adopted me, we're in the same boat. Yeah, some kid who almost ruined your life and then made you work for him, but you're not going to be spared. You don't need me to run away... I've already laid you a golden egg of a kilo or more, and I don't want to run away and then look for a new agent. We've been through two messes with you, that already makes us not strangers, - and smiled, - except that the contract now needs a little revision, - got up from her soft legs and took the contract.
- You think because I screwed up you can fuck me! - the girl screamed hysterically.
- Um, let's come back to this question when Toru Jr. wakes up,' she smiled, taking my statement as a joke and an attempt to lighten the mood, but I didn't try to change her mind. - I understand, - I nodded, - I'm small, I'm an upstart, all I have behind my shoulders is one book and that's it, considering all this I agreed to twenty-five per cent without arguments. Tell me, do you have any other client with such a high interest rate? - under my gaze the girl averted her eyes, - come tomorrow, and bring a new contract, - defiantly threw this one in the trash, which I found, while she tried to avoid my gaze, - and take off five per cent as a punishment for this incomprehensible prank. - She wanted to object at first, but just walked out, leaving me alone.
The next day Arizu showed up alone, we quickly signed the contract, no discussion, then she told me how she intended to milk what I'd written. I told of plans for a new book, or rather a series of books, determined to give life to the Jedi universe in this world. And in the end we said goodbye on a good note, I offered her to visit me more than once a month, and she agreed to think about it.
Well, now I have to think of something to keep myself busy until the events of the canon....
