The teacher's words sent a ripple of excitement through the class, and I can see why - the Yuei Sports Festival is of a phenomenal scale for the entire country, if not more. This event, in terms of scale, can be compared to the Olympics. And it's the first event where the younger generation of heroes can make their mark on the world.
- Mina, Shizuka, let's beat them all! - Uraraka said, beating the air vigorously, causing the entire class to watch her unconventional behaviour with embarrassment.
- Maybe she has-' Tsuyu didn't have time to finish before my palm covered her mouth.
- You shouldn't say that out loud, even just guessing. - To which the girl nodded, 'Sweetheart!
Next, our noisy company was dispersed by Cementos coming in for another lesson. At lunch break, Shizuka was taken away by the Almighty, and Ochako told everyone at our table the reason for her behaviour and the reason for her eagerness to become a hero, namely money and helping her parents, which caused the rest of the group to share their motivations for becoming heroes. Well, I, on it mumbled something about justice and the like, which my classmates ate with great appetite, given my orphan childhood. Then there was the standard training and we were sent home.
On the way home I was thinking about the upcoming festival, or rather about how much I already hate it! Before it had even started, it had already ruined my plans with Mina! She'd asked me out on a date over the weekend, and now she'd taken Uraraki's example and said she'd be preparing hard and didn't have time for fun. And I drooled, thinking that I'll be getting into my demonette's knickers by the end of this week, ah dreams, dreams. But I was quickly snapped out of my regrets by the blazing flames that engulfed my entire house!
- What the hell?! - I ran faster, and my heart pounded furiously, quickly covering the distance to the house with a relieved exhale - Arizu and Mitsuki were standing next to the ambulance, wrapped in towels.
- What are you doing here,' he went to them, thinking about how to reprimand them, 'are you crazy enough to burn down the house? You couldn't express your disagreements peacefully! I'll kick your arse so hard you won't be able to sit down for a week!
- Toru, now is not the time for jokes! - the girls synchronously said word for word, they won't get along, yeah... I was thinking about what to do to make them worry and get closer to each other under stress, and then it came from somewhere, I don't even know who to thank (no).
- It wasn't us! - Mitsuki continued, 'We were arguing in the kitchen about who was going to cook for you tonight and we saw blue flames starting to fall down the stairs from the first floor.
- Yes,' Arizu nodded, 'and I thought it was you! You'd forgotten about school or had already come back, and while we were arguing we missed you coming in, and I was about to go upstairs when Mitsuki pulled me back down.
- I was immediately alerted to the fact that the flame was clinging to its surroundings,' Katsumi's mother continued, intercepting the word, 'which is not characteristic of your flame. And then it dawned on me, that fire was burning!
- She finally stopped me,' Arizu said, 'and we ran outside, but we didn't see anyone, so we called the police and the fire department.
- I see,' I said, thinking over the situation, "but that's even better," I smiled at the girls, 'what's wrong with you? No, of course it's bad that someone has a grudge against us, but if they wanted to do us a favour, they would have attacked us openly, and so, it's just intimidation, and secondly, they even helped us, - I raised my finger up, the fact that they are closer now I won't voice it, but it's also a positive moment, - I've been planning to rebuild the house for a long time, our family has become bigger, so we need more space. It's not an option to move because of your daughter, Mitsuki, she barely managed to squeeze the first one in, so we'll build a big house for our small family, - still small! The girls listening to my explanations hugged me from different sides and pondered over my fiery speech, still twitching a little, but behaving quite calmly. Yes, my perks were a bit over the top, but the girls needed it, as well as a strong shoulder to calm down, and since we'll be rebuilding, it's worth paying attention to the defence systems in the first place, so that there won't be a second such case. Fucking league, whoever caused this, I'll fry you all so bad there'll be nothing left to bury!
The next fortnight flew by before I knew it. And now the crowds of ordinary people and of course heroes were streaming into the stadium, where the landmark event for the whole country would take place.
I'm walking through the room underneath the stadium and I hear our cutie Hoshi, who seems to have decided to challenge our second cutie Shizuka. As I peeked out from around the corner, I saw what I was expecting:
- My father's flame, no! - She shook her head, 'My flame will surpass all of you!
- You this, - holding back a smile I decided to mock Hoshi, well, and they have caused boredom here, - the next time you give out such unfunny jokes, warn! - Shizuka jumped at my words, and Todoroki started to pout and blush like a ripe tomato, but I didn't wait for her to explode, quickly waved to the girls and disappeared, going far away.
- Kayama, stop!!! - I heard a ferocious growl behind me as I increased my speed.
