MHA: Radahn

Chapter 13: Chapter 12: Fated Encounter?

High above the sprawling city, cloaked by the shadows of isolation, Radahn—known to this world as Hoshigami Enrai—hovered silently in the endless sky. From this vantage point, the pulse of the metropolis was laid bare beneath him. The sun was just beginning to rise.

Streets buzzed with life, cars weaved through tight spaces, and people hurried along, lost in the flow of their daily struggles.

The cold wind brushed against him, but it felt familiar, almost comforting—a reminder of the countless battlefields he had once known. The sky was where he found solace, far removed from the petty chaos of urban life. His eyes, golden and sharp like a blade honed by war, scanned the city below with a detached curiosity.

"This world… it's too peaceful," Radahn thought, his voice silent in the wind. Peace was a foreign concept to him, something fragile and distant. He had been forged in the heart of war, tempered by endless strife and conflict. And though there was a flicker of kindness buried deep within him, it was not the weakness others might assume—it was the strength of a man who understood loss and suffering intimately.

Drifting above the city's rhythm, Radahn noticed minor crimes happening far below—petty thefts, scuffles in darkened alleys—but he didn't intervene.

Such trivial matters were not worth his attention. The world would keep turning with or without his interference.

Eventually, he descended into a secluded alley, unseen by the masses. His form shimmered for a moment before fading entirely from view. In the shadows, he turned invisible, walking unnoticed among the people. When the moment was right, he took off once more, flying silently above the skyline—watching, learning, and absorbing the culture of this foreign land.

Despite himself, his wandering brought him to the outskirts of the city—a stretch of coastline where the bustle of life softened into quiet solitude. The rhythmic crash of waves against the shore echoed faintly through the air.

That's when he saw him.

A young boy, drenched in sweat, was tirelessly cleaning the beach. His movements were determined, his body trembling from exhaustion, yet his will remained unbroken. Radahn hovered silently, observing with a strange sense of amusement.

"Such resolve… for what?" he mused.

Suddenly, the boy spoke aloud—thinking no one was listening.

"I've got to do this if I want to be worthy of All Might's powers," the boy muttered under his breath, unaware of his observer.

Radahn chuckled, voice deep and smooth. "Hey, boy. Why are you cleaning this area?"

Midoriya spun around in shock, eyes wide. "I-I-I—me—uh—" His heart pounded.

'Oh crap, someone's here! Did he hear what I said?!'

His gaze locked onto Radahn's towering figure, crimson hair , sharp features, and striking presence. 'Is he a foreigner? But he speaks Japanese so fluently… He looks so divine—wait—is he a hero? I've never heard of anyone like him before.'

"Are you done dazing?" Radahn's voice cut through Midoriya's internal panic like a blade.

"Ah! M-mister… Who are you? Why are you here?"

Radahn's posture remained relaxed, but his presence was overwhelming. "Hoshigami Enrai. I was just strolling when I saw a determined boy cleaning the area—intriguing."

Midoriya swallowed nervously. "Ah… Hoshigami-san… I'm Midoriya Izuku. N-nice to meet you."

They sat down quietly on a nearby rock, the waves continuing their gentle rhythm in the background. The silence stretched until Midoriya, gathering his courage, broke it. "Are you new here, Hoshigami-san?"

Radahn nodded slowly.

"I came from a faraway land. This world is new to me… peaceful—unlike where I come from."

Midoriya pondered his words.

'Where could he be from? His name seems japanese tho and There aren't any active war zones in the world right now'

After a moment, Radahn asked, "Midoriya…. what's your Quirk?"

Midoriya hesitated, lowering his head. "I… I don't have one. I'm quirkless."

His voice trembled slightly, fearing judgment. "But… what about you, Hoshigami-san? What's your Quirk?"

Radahn paused, contemplating how much to reveal. "Energy manipulation," he finally said. To demonstrate, he raised his hand and constructed a glowing golden symbol in mid-air—an ethereal mark that pulsed with power.

Midoriya's eyes lit up with awe. "So cool!"

Radahn allowed a faint smile.

After looking at the ocean for a few moments , Radahn says:

"I've got to go now .If fate allows it, perhaps we'll meet again, Midoriya."

"Likewise, Hoshigami-san," Midoriya said, watching as Radahn turned and vanished into the city streets.

'What a strange man he was' Midoriya thought after looking at the fading figure on Radahn.

'Now then! Let's continue the cleanup of the Beach!'

————————

The following morning, the sky was painted in shades of amber as All Might arrived at the now-familiar beach. His frail form trudged across the sand, prepared for another training session with Midoriya—until he saw it.

'The beach… was completely clean.'

He froze in shock. "He… He cleaned the whole beach? I expected him to finish over half, but this is beyond my expectations…" His voice caught, a rare moment of being genuinely overwhelmed.

"Oh my, oh my…"

His body surged with energy, transforming into his heroic form with a flash.

"Goodness!"

Then, He sprinted toward Midoriya just as the exhausted boy collapsed.

All Might caught him just in time.

Midoriya blinked weakly. "A-All Might…?"

"You've done well, Midoriya-shounen," All Might said with a warm, proud smile.

"You've exceeded every expectation I had for you."

Midoriya tried to sit up but lacked the strength. "I… I did it… I really did it…"

All Might helped him to sit on the boardwalk. "You didn't just do it—you went above and beyond You've proven yourself worthy of more than just admiration… You're now ready."

Midoriya's breath hitched. "Ready..? You mean!"

All Might pulled out his phone, scrolling through old photos of the filthy beach. "Look at where you started," he said, showing Midoriya the overwhelming mess from months before. Then, he gestured around them. "And now—look at this. You have improved, you are not the crybaby from before."

Tears welled up in Midoriya's eyes. All the pain, sweat, and determination had paid off.

All Might's expression grew serious. "It's time, Midoriya."

Midoriya gulped.

All Might plucked a single strand of hair. "To inherit my power—One For All."

"And now , Eat this"

Midoriya's jaw dropped. "E-eat this?!?"

All Might remained firm. "This is no joke, young man. To inherit my power, you must take in my DNA."

Reluctantly, Midoriya took the hair strand and swallowed it with a grimace.

 "Bleh…"

Seconds passed. "I… I don't feel any different," he muttered.

All Might laughed heartily. "It'll take some time. But trust me—you're ready." His voice softened. "The U.A. entrance exam is your next challenge."

Midoriya's determination reignited. "I won't let you down, All Might!"

All Might placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. 'You'll have to face All For One someday, just as every One For All successor has… But another thought gnawed at him—And now there's Radahn, too. Midoriya shounen, you must be ready for anything.'

"You never have, and you never will," All Might said with genuine pride.

As the warm glow of accomplishment settled between them, Midoriya suddenly furrowed his brow, as if a memory had just struck him.

"All Might… before you came today, there was someone else I spoke with."

All Might tilted his head in curiosity. "Oh? Someone from the neighborhood?"

Midoriya shook his head, looking genuinely puzzled.

"No… He wasn't like anyone I've ever met. He was… beautiful—like someone straight out of Greek mythology. He had crimson hair and golden eyes. When he looked at me, it felt like he could see through everything…"

All Might froze. The name—Radahn—screamed in his mind like a sudden alarm. His heart skipped a beat. 'Crimson hair… golden eyes… Could it be?! '

All might unconsciously forgot about the greek godlike look details.

"M-Midoriya shounen!" All Might's voice came out louder than intended, laced with genuine shock. "

Was he… wearing armor? And Was he over 10 feet tall?!"

Midoriya blinked in confusion, waving his hands defensively. "N-No! No, nothing like that! He was just… tall. Maybe around 6 ft 6? And too handsome for his own good… He was wearing this long, black coat. Definitely no armor!"

All Might let out a deep sigh of relief, tension visibly leaving his shoulders. "Ah… I see. Then… it must've been someone else entirely."

But then, something clicked in his mind—an itch he couldn't ignore. His expression suddenly shifted back to intensity.

"What did he say his name was?!" All Might asked, voice sharp and urgent.

Midoriya blinked, startled by the sudden demand. "Uh… Hoshigami Enrai. Yeah, that's what he said his name was."

Midoriya tilted his head. "All Might? You seemed really freaked out for a second… Who were you thinking of?"

All Might forced a reassuring smile, though the tightness in his chest remained. 'No… There's no way Radahn could be roaming the city unnoticed. A man over ten feet tall wearing ancient armor isn't exactly subtle. It's not like he could turn invisible or had any kind of shape-shifting ability… That'd be absurd.'

"Don't worry about it, young Midoriya. Just… someone from my past," All Might said, trying to brush it off. But the discomfort lingered like a shadow in the back of his mind.

Midoriya gave a small nod, though the curiosity in his eyes remained. "If you say so…"

All Might's thoughts were anything but settled. 'Hoshigami Enrai… Is it really just a coincidence?'

But for now, there were more pressing matters—Midoriya's training was nearly complete, and his future as a hero was about to begin.

"Come now, Midoriya shounen," All Might said with his signature grin, shaking off the tension. "The U.A. entrance exam awaits—and you've got the strength to conquer it!"

Midoriya clenched his fists, determination burning in his eyes. "Yes, All Might! I won't let you down!"
