Chapter 15: Chapter 15: The Dragon’s Wrath
**Chapter 15: The Dragon's Wrath**
Yaoyorozu stood resolute, her hands gripping a gleaming metallic shield she had forged herself, and a sword in her other hand, ready to spring into action if needed. Yet, as she watched Natsu charge after the villains, his fists blazing with roaring flames, a look of disbelief softened her features. The absurdity of the situation was almost too much to comprehend. The villains, who had once loomed threateningly over them, now scrambled in panic, their footsteps chaotic as they fled, their voices filled with apologies.
"Get back here and fight me!" Natsu bellowed, his grin as wide as the flames that danced around his fists. Behind him, Happy soared through the air, his laughter a melody of pure, unadulterated joy. "Aye, sir!" he cheered, his wings a blur as he followed Natsu, relishing the chaos.
Yaoyorozu watched in quiet amazement, her eyes wide as she took in the surreal scene. "What... what is happening?" she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. The sheer ridiculousness of it all was almost too much to bear. She exhaled softly, shaking her head in awe. "It seems... he doesn't need any help after all."
As she stood there, lost in thought, a voice from behind startled her. "Natsu's a real beast, huh? Doesn't fear anything."
Yaoyorozu jumped, her heart skipping a beat as she whirled around to see Mineta standing just a few feet away, his small frame barely visible in the shadows. "Mineta! Since when have you been here?"
The small, purple-haired boy scratched the back of his head sheepishly, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I was hiding when those villains surrounded us. Didn't want to get caught, ya know?"
Before they could exchange another word, Natsu suddenly came to a abrupt halt. The playful gleam in his eyes vanished, replaced by a seriousness that sent a chill through the air. The villains, sensing the shift, froze in their tracks. The air grew thick with tension as Natsu's expression darkened, his nostrils flaring as he sniffed the air.
Happy, perched on Natsu's shoulder, flew closer, his usual cheerful demeanor replaced by a look of concern. "What's wrong, Natsu?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry.
Natsu's eyes narrowed, his gaze scanning the area with a intensity that spoke of a hunter on the prowl. "There's a nasty smell... coming from the center of the field," he growled, his voice low and gravelly.
Both Yaoyorozu and Mineta exchanged puzzled glances, their curiosity piqued. Mineta, his nose twitching, sniffed the air, his confusion evident. "I don't smell anything."
Happy, ever the loyal companion, nodded in agreement, though his voice betrayed a hint of uncertainty. "Natsu's nose is really good. If he says there's something, then there's something."
Before anyone could react, a small whirlwind of flames ignited beneath Natsu's feet. The ground trembled as a red circle, intricate and glowing with a malevolent light, appeared at his feet. Without a word, Natsu leapt into the air, his body a blur of flame and determination as he shot upward with breathtaking speed. The force of his leap sent a gust of wind sweeping through the area, and Happy, with a startled yelp, shot up after him, his wings flapping furiously. "Why's he always in such a rush?!"
Elsewhere in the facility, Aizawa was engaged in a brutal, one-sided battle against the monstrous Nomu. The creature, its body a mass of writhing, decaying flesh, had already landed several devastating blows on the pro hero. Aizawa, despite his valiant efforts, was struggling to keep up, his movements sluggish and labored.
The Nomu lunged forward, its massive body slamming into Aizawa with the force of a freight train, sending him skidding across the ground. Before Aizawa could recover, the Nomu's massive hand closed around his right arm, and with a sickening crack, it snapped like a twig. Aizawa gritted his teeth, his jaw clenched as he fought to suppress a scream, his body wracked with pain.
Desperate, Aizawa tried to use his quirk, his eyes narrowing as he focused on the Nomu. But to his horror, nothing happened. "Physical strength… it's not a quirk I can erase," he realized, his voice a mere whisper, his heart sinking in his chest.
From the shadows, Tomura Shigaraki, his pale blue hair falling messily into his face, watched with a sadistic grin. His cracked lips twisted into a cruel smile as he leaped towards Tsuyu Asui, who was cowering with Midoriya near the edge of the battlefield. "Let's wound the pride of the Number One Hero before we leave!" he sneered, his voice filled with malice.
Midoriya, his heart pounding in his chest, watched in horror as Shigaraki reached out for Asui, his decaying fingers brushing against her skin. But to everyone's surprise, Asui didn't crumble to dust as Shigaraki's fingers made contact. Shigaraki's smile faltered, his eyes widening in shock as he turned to see Aizawa, his expression one of grim satisfaction, his quirk having erased Shigaraki's abilities just in time.
"Impressive..." Shigaraki muttered, his voice filled with a mixture of frustration and awe. But before he could react, the Nomu, with a roar that shook the very foundations of the facility, slammed Aizawa's head into the ground with a force that sent shockwaves through the air. The impact left Aizawa motionless, his body limp and lifeless, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock, his heart skipping a beat. "Aizawa-sensei…!"
In a burst of desperation, Midoriya leaped into action, his body trembling with fear and adrenaline. His fists clenched, his knuckles white as he channeled every ounce of his strength into his next move. "Let her go!" he shouted, his voice filled with a mixture of fear and determination, as he unleashed his full power. "SMAAASH!"
The air around them trembled as Midoriya threw a devastating punch, the force of his strike sending a shockwave through the ground. But as the dust cleared, Midoriya's heart sank in disappointment. His attack had struck the Nomu, not Shigaraki, and to his horror, the creature stood unfazed, barely even flinching from the impact.
Nomu, its eyes filled with a malevolent intelligence, reached out with one of its massive hands and grabbed Midoriya by the torso, lifting him effortlessly into the air. The creature's grip was like a vice, its strength unimaginable, and it prepared to slam Midoriya into the ground with bone-shattering force.
Time seemed to slow as everyone watched in horror, their hearts pounding in their chests. Aizawa, battered and bloody, could only watch helplessly as his student hung in the balance. Asui's eyes widened in terror, and even Shigaraki, who had been grinning moments ago, now watched with wide eyes, taken aback by the sudden turn of events.
But just as the Nomu was about to deliver the final blow, the sky above them erupted in a blazing inferno. Natsu came crashing down like a fiery meteor, his body engulfed in a blazing aura of flames that illuminated the entire battlefield. "Iron Fist of the Fire Dragon!" he roared, his voice echoing through the air, a battle cry that sent shivers down the spine of everyone who heard it.
His flaming fist collided with the Nomu with a force that sent a shockwave of heat and destruction through the air. The impact was so powerful that the ground beneath them cracked, and shards of flame exploded outward, lighting up the entire area with a hellish glow. The Nomu was sent flying backward, its massive body tumbling across the ground, flames licking at its flesh as it struggled to regain its footing. The sheer force of Natsu's punch left a burning crater in the ground, and the heat was so intense that the surrounding air shimmered like a mirage.
Midoriya, his body trembling, fell to the ground, gasping for breath, while Asui and Aizawa stared in stunned silence, their eyes wide with a mixture of shock and awe. Shigaraki, who had been grinning moments ago, now watched with wide eyes, his earlier confidence shattered by the sheer power of Natsu's attack.
Natsu stood tall, his fiery aura still flickering around him, his body a blazing inferno of determination and power. His usual grin was back on his face, though his eyes burned with a fierce intensity that spoke of a warrior who had faced countless battles and emerged victorious every time. "You guys picked the wrong fight!" he declared, his voice filled with fiery confidence, a promise of more to come.
As the flames around him continued to burn, the villains realized that they weren't just facing any ordinary student. This was Natsu Dragneel, the Fire Dragon Slayer, and they had just awakened the dragon's wrath.
